accidentally found a little youtube video on the history of a park in my hometown and have just learned that the lagoon used to be an ice skating rink that was massively popular throughout southwest michigan, and I'm Having Feelings about 1) how much more beautiful and wonderful my hometown was before I was born, and how it's an empty wasteland now and 2) It Used To Get Cold Enough In Michigan For Ice Rinks

#the weather conditions were favorable enough for hometown to REGULARLY have an ice rink every winter for DECADES...#serving upwards of a million guests in a season some years from all over the state and even out-of-state.......#hahhhhh....#now this lagoon in this park is just a scummy looking duck-shit tank #and I no longer live in hometown but I doubt it even has a chance to freeze over at all anymore-- not more than a couple times a year #lays on the floor

Hi everyone. I really hate that I have to do this, but I’m kind of unable to move forward without asking for some kind of help.

I’m currently in the negatives for my personal checking account with no more left over and no savings with rent due (my part of rent being $1275.74). I have no upcoming income to rely on due to a change in job as well. Currently, I won’t be seeing a paycheck until the very end of September if not first days of October..

There have been a fuck ton of changes in my life that have made finances an ongoing issue but I felt I had finally turned that around towards the end of 2022. Sadly, a lot can change in two months with absolutely no pay and lots of changes, and I am quite literally at my wits end.

My gf is also without a job for the time being and working on making her way to the US, also leaving her without any pay until September like me. Asking her for more help just feels unfair.

If anyone can help in any way, I would really appreciate it. There’s a lot more to this and I would be more than happy to add on and explain my situation but I also don’t want to make this incredibly long.. I may add on later to further explain, but thank you for reading this far of you have 🩵

brother moved in with me due to an Abrupt Life Change, brought 2 old cats, which I understand is going to take adjusting but I am SO stressed because it is my cat that is being the problem
