𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗜'𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲

⠀⠀The sound of thunder sounded through the night, jerking you awake from your sleep. The crash was loud, making your heart race as you glanced out the window, alertness in your eyes.

Feeling movements beside you, you turned to glance at your partner who dazedly rouses from his sleep. A question on his tongue, about to enquire on why you had woken up only for it to be answered by the next crack of thunder, followed by a whimper from you.

Immediately, he reached out, pulling you close to him. Letting his scent engulf you, you focused on the way he carded his hand through your hair as the scent of smoke and your scented body wash filled your nose.

"You used my body wash again Lauren," you mumbled, nuzzling into his chest as he chuckled softly.

"Mine ran out. I'll buy you more tomorrow," he replied lowly, pressing a kiss to your head.

You shake your head, softly telling him it was okay before you flinched violently, hearing the thunder rumble once more. He gently shushed you before humming a lullaby, effectively transferring your attention from the storm outside to him.

The sooth bass of his voice and the gentle rumble of his chest when he hummed lulled you to sleep as he gently positioned the two of you to lay down, your head resting on his chest as covered you with the blanket you had discarded previously.

"Rest love, I'm here," he whispered, watching as you finally succumbed to sleep before his own eyes started to close.

" 'Night Lauren. Love you."

"I love you too. Goodnight."

Note: Just a drabble to get me back into writing !

“Haaah~ Today’s stream was so fun!”

“With you screaming a lot that is.”

Lauren and Axia have just ended a collaboration stream together. They were chilling in the studio where Axia’s eyes started to wander around the room. His teal orbs widened when they landed on the small key that his partner always wears around his neck.

“I always wanted to ask this but does that key open to anything?”

The key around his neck opens to a box he owns. The box looks like a small treasure chest, but it is filled with valuable items to Lauren. The little chest contains little trinkets and memorabilias sorted by you, his girlfriend, for Lauren to keep before he leaves Eden.

One of the items was a small letter, the words are your wishes for him. Every time he reads through it, his heart is filled with love, adoration, but he also feels the vacant space beside him that you always occupy.

You couldn’t join him on his journey to Earth, so you organized that box as a gift so that Lauren “can have a little bit of you everywhere with him” as you said.

“Ah! It was from that girl that was with you at the lobby before we left Eden to Earth right?”

“Yeah, I can’t wait for her to come and experience life on Earth.”

“With you? Hehe.”

“Stop messing around, you little shit.”

“I’ll be waiting for you, my love.”

“Don’t miss me too much Lauren, and remember to have fun.”
