Script

Since a story is important in this project Lauren and I decided to use Chat box gpt to out-line a story/script. Both of us got two separate scripts that we quite liked though there were some parts that just weren’t so great. I thought it would be good to combine both the scripts in order to take out the parts that didn’t sound so good. Here’s the finished script

(The scene opens on a gateway to The Land of Titles guarded by a llama in high heels called Rosie )

ROSIE: Halt! Who goes there?

(A triceratops called Sludge and a seal called Mr. Puddles approach. Sludge is wearing a backpack)

MR. PUDDLES: Good morning ma’am. We’re here to visit the Land of Titles.

ROSIE: I’m sorry, but no unauthorized visitors are allowed in. Do you have the proper documentation?

MR. PUDDLES: What? The Land of Titles has always been free to enter.

ROSIE: Sorry sir but you need the proper documents or I could charge you 500 gold coins for entry. 

SLUDGE: (mumbles to Mr. Puddles) I thought you said it was free

MR. PUDDLES: 500 gold coins?! That’s outrageous!

ROSIE: Rules are rules. Take it or leave it.

MR. PUDDLES: (recognizes Rosie) Rosie?! What on hell are you doing here?

ROSIE: (sheepishly) I was just trying to make a little extra money

(An ox called Gibby arrives on a floating cloud)

GIBBY: What’s going on here?

ROSIE: (puts on a fake posh accent) I'm simply guarding the gateway to the Land of Titles, as I always do.

GIBBY: (eyeing the llama skeptically) You're not the real guard. You're just a fraud trying to make a quick buck.

ROSIE: (defensively) I am the guard! How dare you accuse me of such a thing!

GIBBY: (shoos the llama away) Get out of here, you fake! (to Sludge and Mr. Puddles) Don't worry, I'll take care of this. (to the llama) And if I catch you pretending to be the guard again, I'll have you thrown in the slammer!

MR. PUDDLES: (to Sludge) Come on Sludge. Let’s go get that title you’ve been dreaming of.

Project ideas

During the first couple days me and my friend Lauren decided we’d be working together. Our last project was also a collaboration so we had the choice to continue but decided against it and just start a new project from scratch even though we only have about 4 weeks.

Our theme is Noah's Ark/Pandora's Box/Ark of the Covenant

Over lunch me and Lauren went over ideas, since we don’t have much time we settled on an idea pretty quickly. I was first thinking about clean and unclean animals on Noah’s Ark, I wanted to do something with animals as recently I’ve found I’m better at drawing animals then I am people. Recently I’ve also really like playing the snake game on google during my break times. so I was thinking we could just make another snake game just with a goat instead but we decided that’s just being a bit lazy with the idea generation. So then we still stuck with the snake game but were thinking of an AI controlled snake that would try and kill you while you tried collecting fruit. Then with the idea of collaboration in mind we were thinking of the snake game but two players fight for fruit. Eventually we decided to just not go with the snake game at all.

The final Idea we came up with is the one we went with.

Lauren asked me what font we were using and after looking through some pixel fonts I really liked the idea of using this font, it just has such a medieval feel to it. 

Sludge the baby triceratops travels to hell in search for a Title so that he can be respected by all the adults. In hell he meets Mr. Puddles who is like the unofficial tour guide. Mr. Puddles decides to help Sludge get to the Land of Titles. Hell in this game is like the gateway to all worlds. Gibby, (a character from a Dnd campaign) is the ruler of the Land of Titles but due to personal reasons has left garden chair (the main character in some of Lauren's previous projects before our collaboration) in control. The Llama in heels (who has been dubbed as Rosie by chat box gpt) occasionally pretends to be the gatekeeper of the Land of Titles, she tries to deter others from entering and tries to gain money from them.
