has anyone else been thinking that we could use a new, safer, and more reliable egl based marketplace platform other than lacemarket? are you satisfied with it, or do you use it because there's no other option? what would you all change about it? would you move to a more functional site if it were made available?
personally, i'm grateful for LM and understand that it's free and all.. but issues such as frequent lag, unpredictable and extended periods of downtime, slow server responses, and flat out inaccessibility due to high traffic volume are a bit frustrating to deal with. it's scary to think all the accumulated feedback and almost a decade's worth of past sales data (being one of the most important resources for price checks) could be lost if the site doesn't come back up one of these days.
the admins being missing allow for scammers and users that otherwise break the rules to not be banned for it and take advantage of their absence. i also think it's unfair that moderators have been known to reverse justified negative feedback, when doing so undermines the purpose of having a feedback system in the first place..

Got a new dress the other day from LM. It’s Lief’s Cherry Ade JSK in pink. It’s so stinking cute and fits so nicely! I could see this being coorded both casual and OTT, I’ve got some enchanted dream socks coming in the mail that will go with this. Still need an actual petti, blouse, and shoes 🫣
