I'd forgotten to upload this prior bc it was such a niche part and I was disappointed I didn't get the exact frame of Eight's fist colliding with Koth's nose (lol), but I think getting to punch him was my favorite of all the options between scolding him, threatening to punch him, killing him, and condoning him because the punch itself is so silly. I thought it'd be a full on right hook or something, but he just cartoonishly bapped him on the nose while Koth went "OWW", so it's like getting swatted by a cat (especially knowing that Eight's punches usually are supposed to like, do more than that).
Lana's smug thank you after Eight's lightning bonk was funny too, considering she never asked him to-- also speaks words about their relationship and how he knows her well enough to follow what she wants before she even tells him verbally at this point in time.

between getting sketches for the refs done, I've also been trying to figure out what I want my Alliance's insignia to end up becoming, so this kind of shows my thought process
I'm liking those concepts, they're So Close to what I want, I just.... don't know what Exactly it is that I want, yet?? Hm....... Something about them just isn't quite right
I ended up liking the idea of using a shade stalker for it, taking inspo on the Mando mythosaur skull (with some creative liberties, because it's hard to get a good view of stalkers' faces)
I like the idea of the Alliance, one day to be just Odessa, telling stories of the beasts their founders had to coexist with, spinning the shade stalkers into something far more deadly than they are as generations pass
shade stalkers become something of folklore, nonexistent on the world that the Alliance fled to and hid away on for thousands of years, yet children still sneak out at night in an attempt to coax one from the shadows as peer pressure eggs them on
their faces persist, far longer than anyone else. their name still known, long after the first Commander's name is lost to history.

So, Wookiepedia doesn't list a name for Marr's flagship, just the type of ship it is and I like naming the major ships in my fics, soooo taking suggestions for what to call it. :')

Polyamory in SWTOR?
Performing a high-risk experiment in my current SWTOR playthrough. Romanced Koth in KOTFE/ET because I've never done it before, and I love him, and I wanted to see his Date Night (which is really great). But then got to the end of ET and though about how *little* content Koth gets after that point. He *may* get more in coming updates, since they got Ike Amadi in the booth for Date Night. But it's still so little. Meanwhile you know who's gotten a lot of screentime lately and I've also never romanced? Arcann. And I actually really like the paralels between my Jedi Knight's arc and Arcann's. But am I really gonna dump Koth for him? That doesn't seem great. Then I had a thought. You... don't have to actually do the "Things Left Unsaid" quest that leads to a character breaking up with you if you get with someone else. What if I just... date Arcann *and* Koth. And I was very unsure if this would work. I don't know how the flags work in SWTOR - would Arcann's romance flag override Koth's anyway even if I didn't do the mission? But I was curious, and it seemed like a decent risk. So I started Arcann's romance, and untracked Things Left Unsaid, and went forward waiting to see what happened. And so far, just before starting Jedi Under Seige... it seems like it's working. I received Koth's post-Umbara romance letter, *and* saw Arcann's romance scene pre-Nathema. And Arcann's Date Night is available as well. We'll have to see if I get Koth's romance scene in Hearts and Minds but I'm feeling confident. Very happy to get my extremely unintended form of polyamory. If anyone at Broadsword sees this, please don't fix this. Or make the fix just *enabling* dating everyone for real.

Lana, hands steepled over a desk: we'll call it the Alliance. you'll be our main star, and we'll gather the support of dissidents against the eternal empire to overthrow anyone who takes the throne. I'm already in talks with Dromund Kaas and Coruscant to pave the way.
Eight: (looks around at the swamp they're in)
Koth: (screaming at ikaynids in his hair, HK trying to set him on fire)
Eight: Just what kind of scam business are you running here
Lana: it's not a scam

Is the Eternal Alliance nothing but a cult of personality?
Ok, this is an interesting one. At first, I didn't think much about it, but now...yeah, it kinda is?
Tumblr media
Now, I'm not saying it's 100% undeserved. I mean, you do play as one of eight intergalactic heroes who already had a solid reputation at the very least. So, there's a good chance that some would be naturally attracted to this alliance. That being said, it does feel a bit like a cult, even if you do the light side commander route. Looking back in KOTFE/ET, it does feel like a LOT of the Alliance revolves around the Outlander alone and the decisions they make. Even Lana is somewhat passive to your choices, and I feel like she'd speak out more if you were more DS leaning. I mean, as much as I hate Koth as a character, it was understandable as to why he'd leave. Now, whether or not this is a good or bad thing, I can't say. Personally, I think that depends on the playthrough and how the player sees things. On one hand, it could be an enjoyable power fantasy. On the other, the galaxy could be screwed and maybe Vinn Atrius had the right idea. But yes, I do see some cult of personality stuff in the Eternal Alliance.

I’ve never completed KotFE/ET with a Trooper, and I’ve also never not romanced Jorgan on a f!Trooper. And I really loved this reunion.

One of the dumbest things about the swtor combat system is the fact only companions set to heal auto-regen because it just neuters using tank and attack in kotfe/et because they'll just end up dying while the boss is around like 1/3 or 1/4 health and since the game is balanced around the player having a companion you die soon after.

there's a lot of chapters within kotfe/et and post these expansions that like... some parts feel like they'd fit one character, some would fit another. there hasn't been one character that fits all chapters.
my solution is to have one main outlander and other OCs are occasionally asked to do some of the other missions the Outlander goes on
like we'll have The Outlander go on one mission, but that outlander isn't needed to pull off a heist so send the former Wrath instead. The Outlander can focus on other things that need to get done on base.
who the hell is firebrand? idk, outlander's too busy putting out fires, send that former imp intel person instead, they're good at being suave and talking to people
shit like that

For the OC as an NPC asks:
7.) Would there be a character they don’t like? Would that cause you to choose sides? For Amarra
Thank you for the ask @starknstarwars!
If your OC was an NPC
Tumblr media
7. Would there be a character they don’t like? Would that cause you to choose sides?
Given that I think she would work best as a KOTFE/ET companion or NPC, I’ll be looking at things from that time in the game.
She really wouldn’t care for Koth. She thinks that he is naive and can’t believe that he was ever a soldier. Sure, she understands that he cares for his people she cares for her people too but she understands that in war people die, that is just the nature of war. So, if he does not understand that then he really has no place in the rebellion against the Eternal Throne. She would push the player character to ignore his concerns about Zakuulan civilians in favor of dealing with whatever the current objective might be and she would also be in favor of his execution should he take the Gravestone.
She would not be fond of Kaliyo. An anarchist is precisely the opposite of what Amarra wants the people of the galaxy to be like. She would not trust her at all and would push for the player to use Havoc Squad instead as you can rely on trained soldiers but you definitely cannot rely on an anarchist.
At first, Amarra would respect and even like Senya. Anyone that can see that their children are a threat and take a stand against them should be commended. But once Senya runs away with Arcann? Amarra would lose respect for her and be very disappointed that she failed to keep her emotions in check. She would go on to recommend that the player kill Senya, Arcann and Vaylin. Kill them all and end the threat of the royal family rallying Zakuulan support for more war against the wider galaxy.

Wow this took me a while to get to! Whoops and sorry @starknstarwars! My muse has abandoned me and I've just been struggling to keep up with swtor stuff for a while now
