My kitchen is done up in white subway tiles with black grout, and black appliances. My cupboards are a beautiful matte navy with brass hardware.
And on my counter is this baby pink kitchenaid mixer that clashes so much with everything but brings a smile to my face. It was a birthday gift I got over a decade ago when I was really into pink. I've even had to do a repair job or two on it (and keep a small hammer in the kitchen to drive the damn pin in when I make bread)
Not everything in life is going to match. You're going to grow and change and find new styles. But sometimes the memories link to an item is worth keeping it around.

So we go on the adventures of solidifying an OC.
Gettin into TCM, immediately began applying new character to the MC, I’ve been going back and forth between vroid and just drawing to try and get an idea what kinda look I’m going for and stuff. I wish I was able to make more unbalance facial expressions in Vroid, though I am looking at blendshapes. I think I need to do some expression studies for both drawing and vroid-ing. It probably wouldn’t hurt to make some face drawing studies based on the face features I designed and then going from there if only so my art is more cohesive on this front.
He goes by Kit and is very evasive about it.
“Oh. Like Christopher or Cathrine? Kitsune? Kitten? Kit like a baby fox?”
“Uh, no, Kit like KitchenAid Home Appliances.”
All of it is a lie and he is on the run from… someone. Because of something. New character details pending. I’m thinking since making a deal with the devil is a major theme in the game maybeeee we Jennifer’s Body it. The sacrifice to a demon makes its own deal too, things go kind of sort of horribly awry, now he’s a trickster demon I guess. “Dedicate your pain to me and you will not be killed.” Is really vague wording in a dire situation. But also since I don’t know details yet and stuff it is a fun idea to play with.
As such the more something hurts the more it heals, but also grant him access to demon powers. I’m trying to think how to make it work, but I know I’m gonna be hella bias when it comes to “design a demonic storyline”
I really struggled between a Fox or Coyote, and a lot of it is boiling down to “more red and small” as well as “more cat like” so the criteria is bullshit.

Caring for Your Non-stick Cookware: A Maintenance Guide
Tumblr media
Non-stick cookware stands as a useful appliance in every kitchen, offering unparalleled convenience and ease in daily cooking endeavours. Whether you're preparing delicate omelettes, sautéing veggies, or simmering sauces, the non-stick surface ensures that your culinary creations effortlessly glide off the pan, promising a delightful cooking experience. But beyond the convenience, your investment in quality cookware, such as non-stick ones, deserves the utmost care to preserve their longevity and performance. In this blog, we present a brief maintenance guide for non-stick cookware that ensures it remains in top-notch condition for years on end.
Avoid cooking sprays
While cooking sprays may seem like a quick fix, they can leave a residue that is challenging to remove from non-stick surfaces. Opt for alternative cooking oils or use a minimal amount when necessary. This simple change contributes to the longevity of your non-stick cookware.
Avoid high heat
Excessive heat can compromise the non-stick coating on your cookware. Stick to medium or low heat settings to prevent damage. This not only preserves the non-stick properties but also ensures the even cooking of your favourite dishes without compromising their quality.
Avoid metal utensils
To maintain the integrity of your non-stick cookware and non-stick bakeware refrain from using metal utensils. Opt for wooden, silicone, or plastic alternatives to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. This small adjustment significantly extends the life of your cookware.
Avoid drastic temperature changes
Rapid temperature changes can affect the performance of non-stick coatings. Allow your cookware to cool gradually after cooking before cleaning. This gentle approach to temperature changes helps preserve the non-stick surface for long-lasting use.
Clean Cautiously
When it comes to cleaning non-stick cookware, a gentle touch is key. Use a soft sponge or cloth to avoid scratching the surface. For stubborn residues, consider a mixture of warm water and mild detergent. Reputed brands, such as KitchenAid, offer some of the best non-stick cookware designed for easy cleaning, ensuring a pristine cooking surface with each use.
Store properly
Proper storage is crucial for preserving the non-stick coating. To prevent scratches, stack cookware with care, placing a soft liner between each piece. If hanging your pots and pans, ensure they are securely positioned to avoid unnecessary wear.
Final Word
Caring for your non-stick cookware is a simple yet impactful addition to your routine. By incorporating tips from this maintenance guide, you not only enhance the durability of your cookware but also elevate your cooking experience. Remember, a well-maintained kitchen is a joy to work in, and with these tips, you're on your way to culinary success with your non-stick cookware. When looking to purchase the best non-stick cookware, consider choosing a reputable brand such as KitchenAid. They offer PTFE and PFOA-free, safe, and easy-to-use cookware, ensuring health with style. From stainless steel cookware to non-stick, the brand provides a diverse range catering to your various cooking needs.

I spent the whole day yesterday unpacking because I needed a functional kitchen and desk and at least a half functioning bathroom. It took a while because the kitchen is pretty small and I had no clue where I wanted anything! Lots of shuffling and reorganising but once the rest of boxes are empty it's going to be lovely.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be fair I do have an unreasonable amount of pantry and cooking stuff but I just hate running out of food and my appliances let me try heaps of different recipes. I really want a KitchenAid. Oh and a pizza oven and a BBQ to go on the balcony lol!
Tumblr media
It looks more aesthetically pleasing with the cupboards closed but it's ruined by the trash bag and the mess on the bench lmao.

My Obsession with Small Kitchen Appliances
Not long ago, I had a pinch me moment…
I opened my computer and saw an email from QVC asking if I was interested in collaborating!! Of course, right away, I replied “YES”!
For some reason, I never thought about shopping online with QVC, but it’s so amazing! They literally have anything and everything you could possibly imagine!
My assignment was to do a culinary post (right up my alley) and I was so onboard for coming up with something fun and fabulous for the holidays using small (ish) kitching appliances from the QVC website! I decided on a pizza oven (not exactly indoor), a Kitchenaid Mixer, a nugget icemaker and a combination Convection/Air Fryer countertop appliance from Ninja for my post. Keep scrolling…
I truly love what I do and when something like working with QVC comes along, I get so excited and then…I get nervous! I want to do a great job and come up with something unexpected and this time, I think I nailed it! I spent almost an entire day wrapping boxes as background props because it’s just not time to decorate for Christmas and I knew I could stash them in the basement to use later.
I know some influencers are already in full blown holiday mode and that’s fine, but I do like to take one holiday at a time if possible. My solution was to wrap lots of boxes and store them in the basement to use again as props for pictures, etc. (this is the life of an influencer).
The boxes looked amazing and now it was time to come up with how to display the products without actually making videos of using each one because that would have taken way too long and a reel can only last 90 seconds.
I choose to demonstrate only trusted brands such as Frigidaire, Kitchen Aid and Ninja. The small air fryer I currently use is by Ninja and I’ve totally loved it and I’ve had my Kitchenaid Mixer for over 30 years now…so I knew these brands would live up to their reputation and I felt comfortable promoting them.
I’ve been wanting a pizza oven for as long as I can remember, and when we remodel our kitchen in 2024, we’re planning to build one outside, but for now, this one from Ninja is amazing! Itt does so much more than make pizza…you can roast anything, including a 12 pound turkey. It does comes with a cookbook filled with fabulous and easy recipes and just looking through it makes me hungry!
Now on to the Convection/Air Fryer from Ninja…
While I do love my small Ninja Air Fryer, sometimes it’s just a little too small! I would much prefer to cook everything in one batch to cooking multiple batches…especially when I’m making chicken tenders for my grandsons! This oven is a combination convection oven/air fryer so you can make muffins and casseroles and you can also air fry anything! It’s really such a great appliance that it may just replace your oven…especially if you’re an empty nester and are now only cooking for two people!
Having said that, I’m not sure if I’ll ever get used to cooking for two, but there are many nights when this Ninja Airfryer/Convection oven would make my life so much easier!
The Frigidaire Nugget Ice Maker…
These little chewable nugget ice makers are all the rage right now and everyone wants one (including my 3 son-in-laws). This one from Frigidaire is compact, quiet and makes up to 44 pounds of ice in 24 hours. It’s so convenient and makes any drink taste better! Before I got my nugget ice maker, I used to keep a bag of ice from Sonic in the freezer, but now, I have this ice on demand and it’s fabulous!
The Kitchenaid Mixer…
As I said above, I’ve had my Kitchen Aid mixer for over 30 years and it still works just as well as it did the day I got it! Back then, it only came in white, but now, you can get these mixers in so many different colors and I’m loving this stainless steel one that matches any decor. Every cook needs a Kitchenaid mixer…it’s the gold standard of mixers. The attachments are universal…I purchased the pasta maker attachment not long ago and it fit my “antique mixer”. My youngest daughter Sarah has my mothers mixer and it’s even older than mine and still going strong!
I’m so grateful that I get to get up everyday and do what I love and I’m honored to work with companies like QVC! This was such a fun collaboration and I hope you’ve enjoyed this post!

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain And Chocolate Shop
Tumblr media
Reasons I freely admit, this is a pretty ordinary recipe for a pretty ordinary item (my only one of the week, I promise). Who doesn’t have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that they already use, and love?  And honestly, the recipe is almost exactly the same as Toll House chocolate chip cookies. My reasons for making these cookies are purely selfish. Childhood memories of chocolate chip cookies My mom was a stay-at-home-mom and while she did and could cook and bake (and was really, really, really fantastic at it), I don’t think she really liked to do it. Unless it was Christmas or some other equally grand event, my mother wasn’t a baker. I totally get why… Staying home with kids, it’s exhausting, and baking is a needless stress. It creates more to do or more that needs to be done and watching that oven is almost like having to watch another child. Plus, we grew up in a house built in the 1830s, the kitchen was very small, there was no dishwasher, and the water for the house actually came via two artesian wells on our property, which meant that we could “run out” of water. If that happened, somebody had to go outside, under the house, into a dirt crawlspace in the dark, and flip the switch to the backup well. Since baking requires lots of dishes, and lots of dishes means lots to wash, we’d inevitably “run out” of water and mom would have to go under the house and switch over the wells. On top of that, in the summer we had no air conditioning, so once it got hot from the oven, it was miserably hot all day with no relief beyond some expertly placed box fans. So even though my mom was, and is, a great cook and baker (she’s even a 4-H foods group leader and occasionally county judge… Seriously, she knows her stuff), you can see that baking for the sake of baking is just more trouble then it was really worth in our house. However, the big exception to this was chocolate chip cookies. Going by my memory (which is never wrong), she’d make chocolate chip cookies almost on demand. And even at the time, this was so special for us because, like I said, my mother didn’t bake, but also because she actually had us make them with her. Of everything I’ve ever made with and for my mom, of all the foods she’s taught me about, of all the recipes she’s given me, chocolate chip cookies are the thing I remember cooking with her first and the most often. I can even picture the old, chipped, vaguely 1970’s bowl we used to make them in and the Black and Decker (back when they did cooking appliances… Maybe they still do? egg beater. And my brother and I were the perfect cookie-making duo. I like chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven but that’s really it. Even with all the history that cookies have in our family, they’re not my favorite cookie. My brother, on the other hand, I’m constantly surprised they don’t find chocolate chips in his blood when he goes to donate to the Red Cross. However, I’m addicted to cookie dough, something my brother can’t stand. So I always got to lick the beaters, he got a majority of the cookies.  It was win/win. Ghirardelli chocolate is also my son's favorite Now that my son is 2 years old and he’s showing a real love of the kitchen and cooking (he’s quite the helper when you need to make tacos), I wanted to bring him into making chocolate chip cookies like I did with my mom.  Being the fan of all things cookie that he is, he took to the idea of making cookies like a fish to water. Perhaps he’s not the most accurate at adding the chocolate chips to the bowl, as is evidenced by my now dalmatian-like kitchen floor, but he had a blast. Come to find out that he thinks turning on the KitchenAid is a thrill equal to riding Expedition Everest. Sorry I didn’t take more pictures… Cooking with a little guy while the oven preheating kept me pretty occupied. But trust me, they came out just as every cookie should (I like mine crunchy so I bake them for a little longer) and fun was had by all.  ~~~~  °o°  ~~~~ Read the full article
