sorry to zoom in the most obvious part to zoom in, but I just have a lot of feelings about king and knight metaphors with gary and andy, and also gary and andy in general ;O;
transcript:
Scott: And I think that, I think that it's, um... His... I guess like connection, that emotional connection that he has to Gary here, of saying, you know, "Fighting is how we survive", and Gary seemingly being unwilling to fight for himself. Andy is now fighting for him.
Nick: Hmm.
Scott: Like... a knight.
Nick: Aah he's fighting for his king!
Scott: He's fighting for his king, yeah.
Cassandra: Oh my god...
S: Which is-
C: -That's so gay, you guys. [laughs]
S: Yeah! Oh, yeah. I mean, this is- this movie is super gay if you wanna read it that way, for sure is!
N: [unintelligible]
S: But it's, it's great, I mean, I just, I love that, and I love that, you know, Andy was like "No, this is not a king worth fighting for" and let it go, but he just, he never-
N: His loyalty can't be overwritten.
S: Yeah he never dropped that flag, he's still holding that flag. And now that he sees that he's at the end of his rope he's like "No I can't let him go off the cliff-"
N: Yeah.
S: "-I have to stop at least that from happening."
N: "I have to protect him, I have to defend him."
S: God, it's so good... I love it.
N & C: [laughs]

okay okay okay kingknight, and the title is "Your Place Again?"
"Your Place Again?"
Andy had heard the request before, had heard the plea before. He looks at Gary, who isn't looking at him whatsoever. He knows Gary prefers his house to Gary's own home, and he can't say he doesn't understand.
"Sure," is all Andy can say, and Gary breathes a sigh of relief, tugging on the strings of his hoodie. It makes Andy feel a wave of sadness. He has a feeling he knows what the reasoning is.
"It's your mum again, isn't it?" Andy prods, as Gary refuses to meet his eyes. Gary falls silent, digging the tip of his shoes into the dirt. "Maybe," he softly admits, looking away again.
Andy wishes he could do something to ease his friend's mood. He knows Gary is craving support from her, but isn't getting it. He knows it's hurting Gary, but there's nothing he can really do except give Gary the support he needs in his gender journey. Andy sighs.
"Alright. Let's head home,"
