Romeo, whose metal body no longer feels sensations like temperature: Oh, my Flame... It's so cold tonight. You should come close to me... don't you think?
Fuoco, who knows this full well and yearns for closeness every bit as much: At once, my King.

I think about this specific line a lot. I want to know what exactly Fuoco did to make Venigni think he was a stand-up fellow. His Ergo's text says he was super devoted to his work but I wonder how he showed this. Did he give a lil salute? I wanna know...

Defeated the King's Flame, Fuoco! Died once but pulled through the second time.
Some tips:
*Employ electric blitz! Grab the Electric Coil Stick from the Elysion Boulevard merchant, and pair it with throwing cells for effective damage.
*Prioritize dodging; if needed, guard. Heal if Perfect Guard isn't an option for his fury attacks.
-- Dodge most attacks; guard during specific instances like three sweeps.
*Seek cover behind pillars during his furnace phase; avoid knocking them down when he charges.
*As a last resort, deploy a specter or grind. Specter aggroes, enabling attacks from behind for easier dodging.
Here are the pics!

Alright, per Tumblr’s decision, I started Lies of P.
It’s interesting. I had to get used to the combat, which is a little chunkier than Bloodborne, at least at first. And it’s the first Soulslike I’ve played with the Xbox controller, so that took a little adjustment as well. But, once it stopped throwing tutorial UI windows at me in the middle of combat, I started getting the hang of it.
I played the demo, so the Parade Master wasn’t too challenging since I knew what I was in for. I think I got him in 3. The Mad Donkey took 2 tries, but once I figured out how easily he can be backstabbed, it was over. The crawling electric police fella I got in one with the help of a specter. Then I got to King’s Flame Fuoco or whatever and had to stop for a while.
THIS fucking guy. Like holy shit, what a spike/skill check that is. I pissed through my Star Fragments like it was nothing, so now it’s just me and him. The first phase is manageable. I can mostly read his move set and while there’s a couple that give me trouble—I get caught in the backspin in the middle of one of his 3-part combos a lot and his Fury move hammer slam is a matter of luck based on my position when he starts the animation—but it’s manageable. That fucking second phase though. The ass fire gigantic AOE thing is bad enough, but then stacking the range attacks on that is just batshit. And it becomes a matter of endurance, cos he’s tanky as fuck. I can see the path to victory, I just haven’t been able to execute yet. But ima get ‘im.
The regular enemies aren’t bad—some of the heavies can be a little troublesome, especially that robot miniboss in the factory, but nothing I can’t handle. I need to work more guarding into my playstyle though—I’m relying mostly on dodging at this point, and it’s doing me well so far, but I have a feeling it’s not gonna work for everything.
I’ve been rocking mostly the balance weapon, sometimes bringing out the heavy sword. And boosting Vitality, Vigor, and Motility mostly. Got a couple of cool looking fire weapons in the factory, and after a couple of upgrades, the fire axe is doing me pretty well so I’m gonna rock that for a bit and see how it goes.
The level design is mostly pretty good—it feels like a labyrinth while still guiding you forward in a pretty linear direction, with a couple of interesting diversions. I helped the weeping woman (by lying to her about her baby) and met the Riddler fellow, at least via the telephone, and am curious what other things like that the game is going to throw at me.
Story-wise I’m bemused but intrigued. It sounds like the Alchemists did something to the Ergo that made the puppets go all Westworld on everybody, but I don’t have a full enough picture of what’s going down in Krat yet. That Fox/Cat stalker duo was pretty cool though, looking forward to running into them again.
Further updates as events warrant.

The only thing I got going for me is that I, who has never played a souls-like game before, got Lies of P and fought the mini bosses and bosses (I’m not that far honestly, it’s hard to find time to play) only to die to
The watchman mini boss in the station - 4 times
The Parade master - 7 times
Mad Donkey - around 10 times
Scrapped Watchman - 4 times
The mouse Survivor - 6 times
King’s Flame, Fuoco (this man) - almost 13 times
And last but not least, Fallen Archbishop Andreus - 0 times
(Rip to my brothers eardrums when I defeated the Archbishop)

**Updated**: Of what did Scrapped Watchman and Fuoco said to Pinocchio
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a continuation of this post.  During the G-STARS event, Neowiz has released an updated demo of Lies of P. Aside from some graphic and animation change, the dialogue of the two bosses, Scrapped Watchman and Fuoco (in addition to Fuoco’s name now updated as Fuoco, Flame of King), have now been modified.  Please note that this is still content of a demo, and is subjected to change or become obsolete information in the final released game. Also, I just kinda translated the text (of course with the aid of my trusty mutual Feeshli) and didn’t put the photo in order with the translated dialogue below.
** Scrapped Watchman **  “There were children I needed to protect” “I despite all of you. Guilty! All of you! I’ll punish you all” “The watchman protects Krat! Halt!” “Agghh my back is on fire. I’m going to explode!”                    ** Fuoco, Flame of King **  “Fan the flames and burn the blasphemers”
“Open your eyes, brother”

Romeo x Fuoco: general headcanons
When it's possible, Fuoco spends any free time he has in the presence of his king; not to distract him with chatter, not to ask anything of him... just to look, to admire, to bask in his presence. And Romeo is aware of this; never surprised when he sees that familiar flame flickering away in the corner, finding his chest growing warm as he realises he's never trulynalone.
He never means it maliciously, but Romeo cannot help but fluster his Flame. He takes great joy in the way Fuoco's mechanical voice stutters when he asks him to dance; admires the way the flame in Fuoco's furnace brightens any time he praises his faithful puppet's work.
(Romeo has absolutely taken note of the things that make Fuoco's flame burn brighter and more intensely, and he absolutely does those things on purpose. Lots of extra praises and fond words; in his eyes, Fuoco's earned them anyway.)
Speaking of dancing; Fuoco absolutely did not know how to at first. He wasn't built for that, and he never had any reason to. No, he learned solely because his precious king enjoys it so; and although Fuoco doesn't understand dancing, he does understand the way his springs tighten when he sees Romeo's smile, the way he feels like he would give the King the whole world if it would only make him happy.
When he's not in the armour, Romeo likes to seat himself on Fuoco's arm, or just plain right in the large palm of his one hand. For his part, Fuoco sees it as an honour to carry his king; being near Romeo is a high and precious honour, so getting to touch him? It's like a gift from God.
And speaking of God... it took Romeo a while to get used to Fuoco's religious fervour over him. At first, he'd tried to reassure his faithful puppet that there was no need to praise him so highly; that he was no better than anyone else, that he was just another person... But his humble words just seemed to make Fuoco even more fond of him, and in turn inspired more praises, and in the end Romeo gave up; his faithful puppet was so happy, he didn't have the heart to argue.
By nature, Romeo is bright and playful and comforting. By nature, Fuoco is terse and serious and single-minded. Romeo admires Fuoco's attitude, even if he can't help but want to cheer him up and get reactions out of him; and Fuoco, fittingly enough like a moth to a flame, is confused by yet also utterly charmed by Romeo.
On some level, Fuoco does not believe himself worthy of his king, and he feels as though he will always come third in Romeo's heart to both that long-lost friend and the puppet who resembles him. Whether or not this is even true, he is adamant to bring that puppet to his king; for no matter what, the king's happiness is his top priority.
Romeo isn't afraid to speak candidly to his puppets, to level with them, to express how he feels... though he understands that, as their leader, he needs to be strong for them; to be, well, their king. However, he speaks the most openly with Fuoco; of his dreams, of his hopes, of his worries. He knows he can rely on his Flame; knows he can trust his faithful puppet with even his fears. In those moments, he feels just a bit more like himself than usual.
And in Fuoco's moments of self-doubt, Romeo is the first one to reassure him; to casually place himself on his Flame's arm, to gaze up at him, to tell him with all the fondness in the world and absolutely no roo for question: his faithful puppet is precious to him and utterly irreplaceable.

New Lies Of P Update Includes Free Cosmetics, Fixes Bugs, And Makes The Game's Combat Easier
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/new-lies-of-p-update-includes-free-cosmetics-fixes-bugs-and-makes-the-games-combat-easier/
New Lies Of P Update Includes Free Cosmetics, Fixes Bugs, And Makes The Game's Combat Easier
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lies of P launched back in September and turned out to be a Soulslike favorite amongst critics and fans alike this year – we gave it one of our highest scores of 2023 and you can read about why in Game Informer’s Lies of P review. To celebrate the game’s reception, director Jiwon Choi released a Director’s Letter video earlier this month to tease some images of Lies of P’s DLC and reveal details about an upcoming update. That update is now out and it includes free cosmetic items, some bug fixes, and balance changes that should make the game easier.
[embedded content]
Plus, alongside this update, developer Neowiz has officially released the Lies of P soundtrack; it’s available for purchase on Steam for $9.99 and hits digital music streaming platforms later today.
Here’s what’s new in Update Version 1.3.0.0
New Features and Content
The following costume pieces have been added to Lies of P and can be found in the “Equipment” and “Bag” menu:
Alchemist’s Hat
Treasure Hunter’s Mask
Treasure Hunter’s Hunting Apparel
Illusory Emerald Glasses
There is a new category in the Costume menu; players can now equip the “Mask” and “Accessory” together in the Hair section of the Costume menu. Short grey hair has been added to the game and is available at Geppetto’s Tools after completing the game once. Plus, subtitle size adjustments have been added to Lies of P.
Balance and Content Improvements
Today’s update adjusts the attack speed of some monsters to make their attacks more intuitive and increases the duration of stance breaks for some monsters. Plus, it adjusts the spawn locations of some monsters and traps to fit better with the flow of the game. And, as previously revealed in the recent Director’s Letter video, the P-Organ’s “Rising Dodge” ability is now a default ability. “Retain Guard Regain upon Pulse Cell use” has been added to the P-Organ to replace “Rising Dodge.”
The following combat balance adjustments have been made as well:
Increased the damage of some weapons.
Increased some weapons to trigger stance breaks to monsters more frequently.
Now relatively lighter Blades will gain more ‘Guard Regain’, while heavier Blades gain less ‘Guard Regain’.
Decreased the delay after an attack and the time to charge a ‘Charge Attack’ for some heavy handles.
Now some heavier handles will have a faster attack speed depending on the assembled blade.
Adjusted the ‘Destruction Damage’ inflicted to monsters by a ‘Perfect Guard’.
The weapon ‘Puppet’s Saber Blade’ will now have increased stats after enhancing.
Increased the movement distance while using the ‘Proof of Humanity’ weapon’s attack skill.
Increased the damage reduction rate while guarding the weapon ‘Etiquette’ but reduced the fable’s charge amount for a set period of time when attacking.
Enhanced the attack tracking mechanism after successfully performing the Fable Arts, ‘Guard Parry’.
Increased the damage buff of ‘Bell of Provocation’ to the player.
“The Attribute Status Ailments will now stack faster for the following Fable Arts:
– ‘Thunderstrike’
– ‘Flamestrike’
– ‘Acid Slash'”
Increased the damage of Fatal Attacks to better scale with the players stats.
Increased the attack radius and tracking mechanism of the Legion Arm, ‘Aegis III – Counter Charge’.
The pillars in the ‘Kill King’s Flame, Fuoco’s room will now only be destroyed by Fuoco’s Fury Attacks.
Two new items have been added to Polendina’s Shop: two more Quartz can be purchased during the early stages of the game. After expanding the shop for the first time, one additional Quartz can be purchased. After expanding the shop a third time, two additional Full Moonstone of the Covenant can be purchased.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the character to shoot into the sky while using the Legion Arm ‘Puppet String III – Attack Link’.
Fixed a bug while continuously pressing the guard button during the Guard stance Legion Arm ‘Aegis’ would trigger Perfect Guards every time.
Fixed a bug that allowed some weapons to perform Perfect Guards unintentionally.
Fixed a bug that caused some Electric Blitz attacks to be unguardable even with Perfect Guards or Guard Parry.
Fixed a bug in which the Guard Regain would not reset after performing a successful counter-attack with the weapon Two Dragons Sword’s charge attack.
Fixed a bug in which arrows fired from traps could not be guarded.
Fixed a bug in which the ‘Monnphase Pocket Watch’ could be used during boss fights.
Fixed a bug in which attacks from some monsters would not register correctly to the player character.
Fixed a bug in which the P-Organ ability ‘Naturally recovers Durability of inactive weapons’ reduced the weapon’s durability while inactive during certain situations.
Fixed a bug in which having the P-Organ ‘Lower Damage while Dodging’ activated and a specific Amulet equipped would trigger the player’s stamina regain earlier than intended.
Fixed a bug in which the deceased NPC ‘Belle’ at the ‘Attacked Hotel Krat’.

Adjusted the Camera Rotation speed while using controllers to be not affected by the framerate.

Updated some translations and typos for the following languages:
‘English’
‘Chinese’
‘Japanese’
Updated a typo in the in-game EULA.
Improved game stability and bugs related to in-game UI.
And that’s everything in Lies of P’s Update Versio 1.3.0.0.
For more about the game, read Game Informer’s Lies of P review and then check out Game Informer’s Lies of P Soulslike tips, tricks, secrets, and more to help Pinocchio survive Krat in Lies of P. Finished it!
Now to create a second save so I can redo the only achievement I missed, and that you only have one opportunity to get, because achievements you can miss are GREAT. All jokes aside, I'll do that some other time. This was a good way to spend some time. I would play this again to see someone's first go at playing.
Well, good on ya! :D
Erstwhile, I beat King's Flame, Fuoco, in Lies of P :3
