this can be because you liked all the starters a lot, or wasnt into any of them for a gen, or whatever other reason.

if you get multiple games in a gen/replay games and choose different starters for each game/playthrough, then you can take into consideration if you had any difficulty deciding who youd have as a starter on your first playthrough.

#pokemon #starters #for me the hardest was gen 7. i just loved all 3 of the starters so much!!! i had such a hard time picking which to go with #eventually through ive used all of them in different games- litten in moon. popplio in ultra sun. rowlet in legends arceus #ive never had such a hard time picking a starter in any other region. even in my fave one: sinnoh!#i dont dislike any starters but theres def been ones ive been way more into than others #and so most gens have a clear winner for me #but alola man. poppin out all the incredible starters #gen 8 may have been like. second hardest? but not in any comparable way #like i wasnt spending a lot of time being like oh man WHO am i gonna choose! how could i possibly make a choice!#but i just wasnt too crazy about any of them? so it was kinda the opposite of gen 7 #most gens usually have 1 pokemon thats a clear winner for me but none were standing out much in gen 8 #now i do lean towards sobble tho since thats who i had decided to go with. i like the sniper theme that inteleon has!#and plus inteleon has a GREAT shiny. love the pink accents so much. also trans colored #also kinda funny that i picked chimchar when i first played gen 4 but now piplup is my fave. got hit by that dawn kin

Something seriously lacking in my art is the ability to tell a story in a single illustration.

I've gotten so used to drawing my characters standing around doing random things that I've never practiced telling a full tale/putting implications into my pieces that require more thinking/looking.

It also comes from a lower amount of details in my works by default [since I like to get pieces done fast], but I'm tired of using that as an excuse.

#vent #kinda #sorry I'm just having a rough one tonight but I'll recover lmao #I think the AI art thing is really getting to me cuz like.#Anyone can make pretty images if they study and practice hard enough #[not to detract from people who don't tell stories with their images!]#but something in my brain wants to fight back because AI will never be able to Tell a Story through its images.#It can't make narrative choices through its regurgitation of random elements. It will never tell a cohesive and interesting tale through #detail choice #the worst it can do is create surface-level 'pretty' images by smashing together a bunch of mushed up information #but storytelling? that's human touch #that's intention. Thought. Choices.#and idk it's really bothering me lately that my images almost never... Proseka friend told me that both God-Ish and All I Need Are Things I Like are being added to the game on JP covered by Nightcord (God-Ish) and Wonderlands x Showtime (All I Need Are Things I Like) and oh boy am I scared. They're also adding (Not) a Devil but it's not covered so I'm not worried about that

#look. I didn't like the nightcord non-breath oblige cover. I don't think I ever went into detail as to why but I really don't like it #I think. Non-Breath was a bad choice for them to cover music wise. I think God-Ish is better. because it's not as energetic #not a bad thing!! God-ish feels whispery which is so Nightcord's thing. Non-Breath was too high energy for them to pull off good #...so I'm gonna be double upset if they fuck up God-ish actually. #ive been going by jay online since i was 13 irl since i was 15/16 and my mum cant get used to it #me my friend and both our mums hung out last week and i heard my mum telling his mum 'i just cant get used to [their] name. they want to be #called /jay/ but i just cant do it' literally everyone else including my brother and my dad uses my chosen name #apart from when theyre around my mother! because her force of disgust is definitely more important than my agency and want to be called by #my own name... i have been thinking about wanting to be called another name like. interchangably with my name #and i think id go with yasha. its the diminutive of jay so like. if we friends i want to be yasha x #but also realising how much i want to have autonomy over my name came from picking a name in 2021 for practise in chinese #and my friend helping me decide between something that sounds similar (林植 cos the first character kinda sounds like my eng surname) and a #more literal translation where i was like the translation of jay is 松鸦 i could use that haha and she went but the 鸦 character is awful #you could be 松雅! its then a pun and makes me sound fancy. and i was so happy just making choices and getting to like #pick my own name that peoplw could use. really a revelation. anyway i was kinda on hold for a bit living at home but now im freer hearing #her go on that 'jays choice of name is so hard on me' rant really made me..... start thinking and reminiscing about my name. and me. u know #jay wasnt even my choice its just my initials that i started going by as like. plausible deniability that i wanted to change my name #i remember thinking more about it when i was younger and deciding against other names Specifically because it would be easier to go #'its just my initials!' yeah. im 25 is it too late to change names #sorry for long rambly disjointed rant. hope this was enlightening if u made it this far
