i talked abt this on discord hehe so i'm rewording what i said for a post

thinking about these interactions...... from v3 chapter one before the first trial:

kaede isn't cruel but she doesn't do disingenuous compliments or mince her words when someone or their hobbies don't interest her (and when getting to know everyone for the first time has some difficulty being engaged in stuff that's not related to music) and kiibo is so defensive with literally everyone, you get to see it a lot in his free time events with shuichi, like he's sort of uptight with him until they get to know each other better

but he and kaede just bypass all that right away it's so funny why are they best friends!!!! in the FTEs kiibo doesn't even get mad at her when she asks his opinion on roombas or any of the other silly questions you can choose. she's not like, way nicer to him than with everyone else but they have fun hanging out.. and here he's like "no i know you're not treating me different you're fine don't worry"

and she's the only person in this entire game who would tell him he sounded cool asking an investigation question. plus she is literally going through it at this part ^ she thinks she just killed a friend and failed to end the game. if she says something like this she means it 100%

seeing as I recently got my commissioned Halloween icon and now I’m in Halloween Mode (TM) its a PERFECTTIME to post these goofies ehehe

Such an underrated ship, i posted this somewhere else first so i thought that i should share it here aswell!! :D even tho i'm not and probably won't be active here as much anymore

Anyway, my fave hc of them is that Kaede can't cook no matter what (which is actually canon) and Keebo can't cook either, so they try to learn together combining their 1 braincell for cookery and then wreck havoc in the kitchen while doing so :]

Imagine Kaede being mute after damaging her vocal cords from some accident as a child and have trouble trying to trust after being bullied as a kid, because her disability is a burden, thus ends up being homeschooled during her middle school years. She gets accepted to Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Pianist. Kiibo being installed with sign language helps her throughout her day. As a side lesson everyone took sign language to communicate with Kaede.

Aw, poor baby! Yet, I think she would still be outgoing and friendly, or at least try to remain cheerful and optimistic, even if she is a little cautious around the others because she’s mute. But a friendship between mute!Kaede and Kiibo sounds like a beautiful thing because Kiibo himself experiences discrimination and bullying over his status as a robot. So, when he meets Kaede and discovers that she’s mute when she tries to sign to him or at least vaguely gesture to tell him that she’s mute (if she assumes that he doesn’t know sign), he understands pretty well and signs back to her. Which was an honest mistake–she’s mute not deaf–and she corrects this with her sign and a small smile. Flustered, Kiibo quickly apologizes, and Kaede knows that it’s an honest mistake. She’s actually really glad that *finally* someone wasn’t put-off after knowing that she has a disability, which leads to these two sticking together. They’re often seen during freetime and while Kaede practices on her piano in preparation for an exam.

I also imagine that they grow even closer together, occasionally flirting with each other casually. Although she’s a little “school girl shy,” Kaede flirts playfully with Kiibo…who seems to stumble around like a curious and equally shy schoolboy LOL. To be honest, Kiibo doesn’t know the first thing when it comes to flirting, so he looks up some cheesy lines on the internet that make Kaede cringe and giggle because they’re so silly. She’s grateful for Kiibo and is surprised when he makes the first move to ask her out and even ask to go steady with her. They became a cute couple in the classroom, spending lunchtime together and attending school plays, sports matches, and other festivities. Seeing them happy together also attracts the other students who were admittedly alienated from Kaede after finding out that she was mute and they didn’t know how to sign. Since Kiibo’s here, he teaches all of them to sign during their collective freetime or afterschool when they return to the dorms.

I think its cute! The anthology comic where keebs pulls out a piano board for her to play from his chest (except its him mimicking the notes) is fun, and I think they're dynamic is nice

outside of a couple exceptions I dont dislike any ships, I just only have enough energy to focus on a select few is all

K1-b0 FTE - (Kaede #1)

Fun little tidbit - Tenko’s FTEs were next, but upon realizing she was following up Korekiyo’s her first post promptly went and deleted itself. To soothe her pain (re: give me time to go back in and do her first one again and get the screenshots), I figured following our favourite potentially nb robot would be much more palatable for her.

Seeing lines of dialogue like this.... everything does seem much more obvious now, huh?

Imagining Kaede and K1-b0 holed up in the game room together brainstorming is pretty cute.

And then we were slowly, painfully driven in the wrong direction by our hapless unaware mole.

Okay, giving you presents always felt like dancing through a minefield blindfolded as Shuichi. Maybe it’ll be better this time?

Aaaaw, so it ended up being a chance for K1-b0 to open up and let himself ‘explored’ by Kaede! That’s kind of sweet, actually - by giving someone genuinely curious a chance to ask questions and learn more about him, despite some missteps, they got to get closer!

How interesting that despite all the questions, we’re left with Kaede in her shocked pose and K1-b0 looking happy. Well, it’s an interesting start to their FTEs! For whatever reason, this was a combination I never really imagined very much!
