This weekend I attended my first cosplay competition and it was amazing! I was so incredibly nervous but learned a lot about the competition process and made loads of new friends!

Thank you so much to Charles for filming and for everyone in that group who showed up to support me and cheer me on!

(For some context during the awards section, 95% of the embroidery on the corset I did do by machine which still took 100 hours of work, they were just especially impressed by the leaves I did by hand so they mentioned that specifically)

Finally my Keyleth cosplay is complete!! I'll make another post later with more pictures but here it isss!!!

It's been quite a while since I last posted on here and that is for a multitude of reasons that are still mostly relevant. Since I graduated in May I have been studying for my nursing exam or at least trying. Due to the slow process that is paperwork I haven't gotten a date yet so the studying is never ending. Reason 2 is while I have a bunch of actually photoshoot pictures I can post captions elude me and I don't end up posting. And thirdly with everything coming to a boiling point with the protests for Black Lives Matter and against police brutality I haven't felt confident in my knowledge and voice on these topics especially since we as a community should be lifting up Black voices. But I have been donating and reading and watching documentaries to educate myself on history the public school system has failed to teach me and I failed to learn prior. But I have been sharing many resources in my insta stories and below you will find a couple pages that provide educating content about Black history and how to be anti-racist. @curlupclub has book suggestions on literature by black authors, education on systemic racism and more @officialmillennialblack posts about how to diversify your feed, keeping the momentum going, how to be an anti-racist ally and more And I have links in my bio to the Black Lives Matter carrd.co .
