What info do you have about snoddy swifty and itey?
I have some!
Snoddy (played by Robert Feeney, who is very nice and recognized me when we met in person which I will NEVER be over) is a one of the most background newsies.
He dresses really nicely, and is just so classically handsome. He often wears those sleeve protectors around his elbows.
Also it's pronounced like "Snooty" according to Kenny Ortega.
He often gets paired with Specs, Dutchy, or Pie Eater

Swifty:
Swifty is played by Kevin Stea, and his full name is Swifty the Rake. In the 1890s, that was slang for someone who steals aka "rakes" what they can get.
(We also have Kevin Stea to thank for Blood Drips, it was his camera they filmed it on. Same with the behind the scenes footage on youtube)
Swifty is a great artist, by the painting him and Crutchy have in Seize the Day.
He often gets paired with Pie Eater.
Itey:
Itey was played by Dominic Maldonado.
He's mostly known for always messing with his suspenders, and nibbling on them. He shares a bunk with Snitch and is often paired with him because of it.
Also because they are often around each other, including behind the scenes!
Also there is very little rhyme or reason for the old newsies art I have. I just used to save ANYTHING I came across so I've got a lot of gems lol

Uno tra gli indimenticabili partners di ballo di @lcuccarini è stato @lucatommassinidreamer il quale ha avuto la fortuna di condividere la scena, tra le altre, con Madonna... Ma io lo voglio ricordare così: al fianco della showgirl più amata dagli italiani... Me lo ricordo quando, assieme a Kevin Stea, faceva parte del corpo di ballo che accompagnava Lorella nelle coreografie delle sigle di " Buona Domenica" (nelle quali - dirette dal coreografo Marco Garofalo - spesso era presente anche il povero Silvio Oddo, volato in cielo qualche anno fa). Quando Luca Tommasini mi ha fatto pervenire la sua cartolina autografata ne sono stato davvero felice. Essere disabili è triste quando si è consapevoli di esserlo e ci si ritrova spesso soli a sognare un futuro migliore. Io, anche se avevo imparato a memoria le coreografie da ballo, ovviamente, non ho mai avuto la fortuna di accompagnare i passi di Danza di Lorella Cuccarini ma mi piaceva pensare - per questo - di potermici identificare nel ballerino dai capelli meshati. Ironic how everyone makes fun of the Broadwaysies and Livesies casts (including Jeremy jordan) for being in their late twenties and early thirties when a majority of the 92sies cast was in their early to mid twenties (Christian was seventeen, David, Dee and Dominic were sixteen, Marty, Aaron, Matthew and Gabriel were fifteen, Brian was fourteen, and Arvie was thirteen).
I don’t think it’s ironic at all…. There’s a huge difference in having almost ALL the people playing newsies be in their late 20s-early 30s then having SOME of the newsies be in their early 20s.
Like you said above, Christian Bale was 17. There’s a MASSIVE difference in having a 17 year old play a 17 year old and a 30 year old play a 17 year old. Like massive difference. And I prefer the 17 year old.
Sure Max Casella was 24 and Kevin Stea was 23 but like I’m not seeing the majority.
Max played a big role with Racetrack, but he’s the only one of the “main” newsies who was in their 20s. The rest- Jack, David, Spot, Crutchy, Boots, Blink, and Mush were ALL teenagers. Kevin Stea doesn’t even have an individual line.
Some back up dancers were in their 20s but they weren’t even named characters.
I don’t think it’s comparable at all.
(This of course doesn’t even get into the fact that newsies weren’t all kids. There were adult newsies too but that’s a conversation for a different time)
