Let me tell you about my crush Cecilia. She started coming in to the convenience store I work at a little more than a year ago. I thought she was cute but I still have way too much social anxiety to tell a girl that directly let alone ask her out. But then she flirted with me! She was buying some scratch tickets and I gave a line about her winning the big bucks. Then she said "yeah and then we can take a trip together. First we'll go to Scotland then we'll go to alaska to visit my parents." I had no idea how to respond to that. She only comes in sporadically and I think my awkwardness sent some mixed signals. I wrote out my number and drew a little doodle and put it in her grocery bag. My awkwardness definitely affected that encounter. Now I've only seen her twice since then 😓. But last week she came in and we actually talked! I've made up my mind that I'll just have to have courage and ask her out directly. Here's to hoping she's not over me😅
