I'm not here to defend kidden. I am here to defend that mental illnesses are not set in stone. Borderline is often diagnosed in women on the autism spectrum before they receive an autism diagnosis. Neurodivergency in women wasn't understood as well until very recently, so many of us are undiagnosed and walking around with a string of mental issues like anxiety, depression and ptsd from being treated poorly due to lack of understanding needs. With kidden it could be made up, but I want to grant her the grace that the mental health industry hardly works for women, so a bunch of misdiagnosis are highly possible.
