Post season 8 Castle Headcanons
Castle picking up the kids from school bringing them to the precinct to visit mommy, Captain Kate Beckett-Castle. Sometimes they get to hang out with Aunt Lanie, & Uncles Ryan and Esposito too. Castle often brings dinner for his wife. She sometimes forgets to eat, seeing as she’s not on the streets nearly as much. Not as many opportunities to go out and pick up some food on the case. Though, the boys do offer sometimes.
Castle buys Lanie very nice Spa certificates, jewelry, etc and new equipment for the morgue. And a cappuccino machine.
Kate always bringing Lanie coffee, treats, etc. when she’s called to a crime scene.
Castle surprising Kate with a puppy for their 5th anniversary. At first, she’s convinced it was to entertain their kids but he reminds her of their time taking care of Royal, the dog show judge’s own golden retriever companion. Kate had mentioned that she’d been wanting to get a dog then. In fact, they both did. Now was the perfect time. (s4, e13)
Big “Sissy” Alexis and Gram babysitting/ absolutely spoiling the kiddos during “Caskett” date nights or late nights at the office/precinct.
Kate meets up with victims’ relatives on occasion to comfort them when they need it. Usually from Joanne Delgado, whose mother was stuffed in her safe during a home invasion/robbery. (s1, e7)
Detective Karpowski coming back to the 12th on a case of her own to get a consult. When her case is solved they all take her out for a celebratory beer. They reminisce about her time at the 12th, and of course, the Bet ™. (s2, e2)
Jeremy preswick and Emma Carnes run into castle and Beckett one day at the park while walking their dog, Lucy. They chat for a bit. Both Emma and Jeremy are excited because it seems that Jeremy was starting to gain some of his memories back from before the shooting at the art gallery. They’re still living together. Rebuilding what they once had as much as possible with Jeremy’s memory lapse. But that’s ok with Emma. They both seem very happy to have each other. (s2, e11)
Castle decides to do his PI work from home. Alexis helps man the office with Hayley. Rick plays more of a consultant role at this point, seeing as he has three youngsters to watch. The cases he helps with are rather sparse and small but it keeps him occupied and happy. He never fails to get super excited/giddy when he gets a case that somehow intercepts with an investigation from the 12th. Of course, the Castles now have a deadbolt on the apartment door. Given the wild shit they’ve dealt with before, both of them being in the same dangerous line of work, their children’s safety was a bit more of a concern.
Jenny, Kate, Hayley, Lanie, Alexis, and Martha having a girls’ day every so often. Brunch and spa days, mani/pedis, etc. Kate even convinces the hubby to let them use the vacation house in the Hamptons sometimes for a weekend.
The poker games continue! Both the bestsellers crew, and Rick’s “Gotham City” crew, plus Kate. The Castles’ are no longer shy about kicking each other’s asses. Kate wins a good 55% of the time. Out of all of them. Montgomery’s chair is honored with the same rule as with the best sellers crew. Nobody sits there. Sometimes, former captain Gates joins them. She enjoys watching Kate whooping Castle’s ass. Very much.
Annual New Year’s party at the Castles’ place. Jenny & Ryan, little Sarah Grace and Nicholas Javier, Lanie, Esposito, Hayley, Vicram, Alexis, Martha, Jim (Beckett) and of course the Castles’; Rick, Kate and little Lily, Jake and Reece. Sometimes Gates makes a special appearance. The grownups play some of poker once the kids are asleep.
The boys going to games together. Sometimes clubs. Castle lists Javi on his insurance for the Ferrari. Javi likes to try to pick up chicks if he can with the fancy car.
Castle finding out Kate and Jim’s favorite baseball team(s) and getting them all the tickets he can get his hands on. The best seats. Close enough for a chance to catch a flyaway ball… just for Kate. They usually bring the kids. And sometimes Castle.
The whole 12th gang getting tickets/invites to the next broadway play featuring The Martha Rodgers.
Mia “The Nose” Lazlo (s8, e5) sends Kate special order perfumes that she’s helped test. Mia and Castle exchange emails every now and then. Castle always makes sure to send her tickets to his mother’s shows.
Kate and Jim have a tradition to visit the late Johanna Beckett’s grave on her birthday. Sometimes Castle comes along. Sometimes they bring the kids, if they’re up for it. They always bring flowers. Kate, Jim, and the kids like to give her little updates on the things happening in their lives.
The 12th detectives , Lanie and Castle visit Captain Montgomery’s grave, when they can. They keep in touch with his family. Make sure they’re doing ok.
The team going to each other’s kids dance recitals, science fairs, etc. They have play dates with each other.
Summer cook outs/ memorial weekend/ July 4th at the Hamptons with he whole crew! (Or whoever’s available.)
On particularly difficult cases, castle hosts Blue Nights at The Haunt. Cops get drinks free. Though, the 12th crew always get some sort of friends & family discount. There is also a small shrine to Roy behind the bar. Every time any of them visit, they have a drink in his honor.
Dinner dates at Q3. Being good friends with the owner and the new chef really makes the whole experience that much better. Beckett and Madison get to catch up every now and then. And castle gets to try Chef Wong’s oven roasted pork belly glaze that she’d made on Kitchen Wars. (e2, e22)

PART EIGHT
Kate, woke up the next day alone but, with a smile on her face. After a full on make out session by her front door last night Rick, had asked her to spend the day with himself and Alexis, again today. They are going to the Zoo.
While at the Zoo, Kate welcomed the feel of Rick's hand in hers. He made her feel all warm and fuzzy, and safe somehow. She thought this is it, I found my Soulmate. She couldn't imagine ever feeling or being like this with anybody else, ever. She was happy. Alexis, was happy. She love'd Kate, the closest person to a mom she had ever had and her dad was happy all the time now too!
ONE YEAR LATER
"Now you kid's have a wonderful time and don't worry about a thing. Alexis and I will have a blast this weekend! Won't we kiddo" Martha, said with a wink to Alexis.
"Yep!" Alexis replied, with a cute little wink back at her Gram.
"Now, why does that fill me with dread?" Replied Rick, while Kate, laughed.
"Come on let's go! before we miss our flight!" Kate, said while pulling on his arm.
Rick, was finally doing it. Taking Kate to Paris. Just like he said to his mother, that one day he would.
Their Shangri-La, hotel room was just..Stunning, with a beautiful balcony view of the Eiffel Tower. Rick took her out to romantic resteraunts, for romantic walk's across bridges but, mostly they spent their time in bed. Bodies wrapped around eachother in tangled sweaty messes, but blissfully happy.
Kate, stood on the balcony, staring out at the beautifully lit Eiffel Tower. When Rick, came behind her, locking his arms around her waist and placing a sweet kiss on her temple.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked.
She turned in his arms and with a stuttered breath she nervously replied..
"I'm pregnant... I found out just over a week ago!"
Rick, just stood there lost for words. He wasn't in a million years expecting that. Well not right now, when he had his own plans in place.
"Rick, please, say something?" She asked with dread in her voice.
He let go of her and ran back inside.
"Rick, where are you going?" She shouted after him with a stuttered voice.
He returned a few seconds later, with a smile on his face. Kate's fears started to ease.
"Kate, I had this whole thing planned out.."
"What do you mean?" She nervously asked.
"I knew, from the moment I laid eyes on you, that you were the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with and, now you just confirmed it. I love you so much Kate, with every inch of my being and I couldn't imagine my life without you. So..."
He got down on one knee and presented a beautiful heart shaped red velvet box, opening it as he did so...
"Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?"
Kate took in a stuttered breath and with a wide smile and a little giggle, she replied...
"Yes.. Yes I will marry you!"
Rick stood up placing the ring on her finger and took her in his arms, placing his lips on hers in a long passionate kiss.

Castle is an American show that first premiered as a midseason replacement on ABC March 9th 2009 at 10pm after Monday night's Dancing with the Stars. The show ran for 8 seasons The show is about Detective's for the 12th precinct who solve the weirdest murders and bring justice to their familes. It stars Nathan Fillion from Firefly as Richard ``Rick" Edger Castle, Famous Mystery Writer who is suffering from writer's block, and kills off Derrick Storm, the main character from his most successful book series. He is brought in by the NYPD for questioning regarding a copycat murder based on one of his Derek Storm novels. He then shadows and assists Kate. Born Richard Alexander Rodgers. Stand Katic as Katherine ``Kate" Houghton Beckett, NYPD homicide Detective from the 12th precinct and muse for Castle and Nikk Heat. Seamus Dever as Detective Kevin Ryan, a former narcotics detective who is a member of Beckett's team. Jon Huertas as Detective Javier ``Javi" Esposito, a former Army Special Forces soldier who is also a member of Beckett's team. He is best friends with his partner, Detective Ryan. Tamala Jones as Dr. Lanie Parish, a medical examiner and on-again-off-again love interest for Esposito, and is also a best friend of Beckett.
During season 3 episode 24 knockout Captain Roy Montgomery got shot in an airport hanger and died of his injuries. Later in the episode. Beckett is shot on the left side of her chest during captain Montgomery's funeral. Causing her to flat line. It nicked a left inferior pulmonary vein causing Tension pneumothorax on the left side requiring a chest tube. Causing her pericardium to distend compressing her heart. The Bullet then grazed the ventricle causing her to bleed into her heart causing it to not work right resulting in vfib/flat line causing her to go into cardiac arrest during her thoracotomy, which is emergency surgery to gain access to the pleural space of the chest. I googled it. After 3 months she was back on the job
During season 6 episode 4 number one fan Castle is shot in the vest by a fan of his. He even mentions how she dotted his I, his vest says writer and she bullet hit the top of the I essentially dotting it.
During season 8 episode 5 the nose Ryan accidentally shoots Esposito in the butt.

Flashpoint Canadian cop show set in Toronto that first appeared on CTV and CBS on July 11th 2008 at 10pm on Friday known as the death slot it later switched to Thursday at 9pm on CBS. The show ran 5 seasons and went out with a bang. Team One goes on high risk hostage calls where people are having their worst moment. Because one moment changes Everything. The show stars Amy Jo Johnson the original pink ranger on MMPR as Julianna "Jules" Callaghan a profiler/sniper, former RCMP officer and only woman on the team until Donna in season 2 she is also the wife of Sam and mother of sadie. Hugh Dillion from the headstones as Edward "Ed" Lane sniper and team leader he is also a husband to Sophie, dad of 2 Clark and Izzy. Enrico Colintoni from just shoot me and Veronica Mars as Gregory "Greg" Parker negotiator/profiler he has one son Dean. David Paetkau as Samuel "Sam" Braddock sniper and former JTF2 member and husband Jules and father of sadie. Michael Cram as Kevin "Wordy" Wordsworth, CQB expert, husband of Shelly and Dad of 3 girls . Sergio Di-Zio as Michaelangelo "Spike" Scarlatti tech/bomb expert. And Mark Taylor as Lewis "Lou" Young, a less lethal expert.
During season 1 episode 13 between heartbeats Jules Callaghan is shot by the son of a man Ed shot in Scorpio season 1 episode 1. The reason Jules was shot and missing from 6 episodes of the season. Was Amy jo Johnson was pregnant during the first season and had to be written out. The 6 episodes were. Business as usual, the fortress, clean hands, aisle 13, perfect family, perfect storm and remote control. She does have a scene in the beginning of Business as usual and 2 scenes in aisle 13.
During season 3 episode 13 fault lines Ed Lane is shot during a road rage incident. He was on the way to the hospital to watch the birth of his second child Izzy. They caught the guy in the next episode while Ed recovered Sam filled in as team leader.
During season 5 episode 13 keep the peace part 2 Greg Parker was shot multiple times while defusing a bomb. Multiple had been placed all over the city during the first part which caused the death of some team 3 members including Donna. After Greg retired and became an instructor at the police academy.
During season 1 and 2 Kevin Wordsworth was shot in the vest during season 1 episode 2 first in line and season 2 episode 3 clean hands.
