Do you want to watch a movie that has a weak plot, iconic characters that were barely used, random AF ideas and stunning visuals? Then, this movie is for you. I found the film to be absolutely gorgeous, but the rest felt very generic. The story is very predictable and boring. Then, you have so many awesome characters, but only Batman & Joker have the most screen time, so seeing all of other characters felt lie a tease. There was so much potential in this film but sadly it was all wasted.”

Batman Ninja (2018)

My rating: 7/10

Okay so the writing kind of stinks, and some of the female characters have an unfortunate tendency to breast boobily (a genre convention that is, unfortunately, shared by both superhero comics and anime), but the production design, animation and backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous, and they absolutely Gurren Lagann'd the whole thing - who cares if it makes sense or is in any way connected to the laws of physics if it looks cool? Which is honestly pretty fun, because it leads to such things as Robin playing the Batman '66 theme on a flute and summoning an army of monkeys that then combine with giant swarms of bats into a massive gestalt Batman, who punches the Joker's mecha castle in the face. Yeah. Can't really complain about that.

Rooster Teeth’s “gen:LOCK” Coming to Toonami

gen:LOCK is releasing on Adult Swim. Previously, the only way to watch Rooster Teeth’s anime was on its streaming service. Now, though, the series will also air during Adult Swim’s Toonami block.

gen:LOCK stars the voice talents of Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams, Kôichi Yamadera, Golshifteh Farahani, Asia Kate Dillon, and David Tennant. The series is set in a future where an authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world. A team is recruited to pilot new mecha powered by a form of neuroscience, but they may have to sacrifice everything to save the world.

gen:LOCK will hit Toonami on August 3, 2019.
