Joachim Schwabing - El hechizo.

Patrick Stewart or Corey Burton as Santa
Maria Canals-Barrera as Meche

@sonicmega as Papyrus and Sans
@faulerro as Flowey
@chaos55t as Asriel and Alphys

Manila Southwoods gets 7 straight win in Fil-Am golf tourney
#PHnews: Manila Southwoods gets 7 straight win in Fil-Am golf tourney
BAGUIO CITY – Manila Southwoods closed out on Wednesday with 122, a fourth straight flight best to claim its seventh straight title in the centerpiece Fil Championship of the 70th Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament at the Baguio Country Club (BCC) golf course.
It was again a double celebration for the Carmona, Cavite squad as its younger team also won the Am Championship at the Camp John Hay (CJH) golf course also in a rout.
It is, however, a triple celebration for the tournament's most decorated team as Aguri Iwasaki took the top individual plum just a day after his birthday on Dec. 17.
When the day started with an overcast sky, surprise top man Lanz Uy woke up with a fever that made him too weak to even lift a club and its youngest member, Sean Ramos, had diarrhea and did not play, Southwoods played a four-man team for a closing round of 122 for 546 aggregate and a 55-point victory.
Taisei Shimizu top-scored for Southwoods with 34, Iwasaki had 32, while Aidric Chan improved to 31 and Uy managed 25 for another dominating performance for the team.
“These are very talented kids and they will surely adjust the next day. But then, some of them are just really sick,” said team captain Thirdy Escaño, who stopped counting the trophies of Southwoods which started playing in 1997.
“Uy could have done better. He thrives in this course. But then he is very underrated,” said Escaño of his surprise top gun, who took the CJH course with an eight-under, including what could be the best seven under on day two.
He led the squad on day three with 33. His fever cost him the individual plum which went to Iwasaki.
Aguri finished with 140 points, two better than Uy (138) and another two on compatriot Shimizu (136).
Forest Hills came in with a 111 for a 491, just two off Royal Northwoods as the two settled for second and third places, respectively.
Forest Hills was led by Rocky Co with 31, while Iñigo Raymundo, Dan Cruz, and Jude Eustaquio counted with 29, 27 and 24, in that order.
Stephen Sul became the only player from the top tier championship flight to break par with his 36 points to lead Northwoods to 114.
Backing him are Nik Gatmaytan with 28, Joaquin Hernandez with 27 and Gido Mandanas with 21.
Team Time Cargo had 93 with former Southwoods stalwart Junjun Plana leading with 28 points.
The team finished with 448 points. Josh Jorge closed out a 36 to lead Southwoods Am squad with 119 and 463 total for a 29-point victory in Am Championship.
Also counting for Southwoods are Jeff Jung and Masaichi Otake with 28 and Santino Laurel with 27.
Ricky delos Santos led Batangas Barakos to 110 and 434 aggregate to bag a second place, nine off Forest Hills which had 117 for 423.
Islander Mizuno finished fourth with 407 after a 107.
Meanwhile, Ventureslink -Robros Jayworx took the last day easily, nearly matching its day three total with an 88 for 397 total and a 13-point victory in Fil B.
Baguio Country Club had a great escape after outscored by Summit Point Golf and Country Club 88-87 in the last day of competition but still took the bridesmaid trophy with its 384 against the latter's 383.
In Am B, Joseph Oliver Uy led a vicious fourth round attack and scored 30 to pace X1R Mizuno's scorching closing round of 113 to tie third-round leader Srixon with 382 points.
But Mizuno took the champion's trophy through countback when its fifth man, Raymond Co, who did not count, outpointed Srixon's fifth, Bart Borja 21-15 to give the former the top podium.
Srixon had a closing round of 103 to take second place, while Crown Legacy fell short of its own rally scoring 110 for a 381 total.
Royal Northwoods – El Masfino had an 88 for a 380 aggregate and a 13-point victory in Fil C.
Dugong Bughaw finished second with 367 after an 80, while Ultraflite Golf Club I is third with 358 after an 82.
Mountaineers Golf Team II closed with a 103 for an even 400 and a 25-point victory in Am C.
BCC overtook co-host John Hay when it scored a flight best 110, ironically at the latter's home course, for 375 and a 10 point margin. John Hay had a closing round of 91 for 365.
K&G MGC closed with an 81 for a 360 aggregate to win Fil D by 27 points.
Macquarie Links Sydney finished second with a 333 after a 75, and a seven-shot margin on third-placed Team Integral which closed with a 70.
Central Florida / VST had a closing round of 93 for 338 points to move past Team Surigao for the top podium.
Surigao finished with an 86 for a 335 to settle for second place, while Cool Jocks had 87 for 329 which is good for third place.
Islander Mizuno had a 66 and 330 total for a 17 point victory in Fil E.
Razcals I suffered a two-point penalty but comfortably took second place with 313.
At third is Tieza Club Intramuros Golf Course A with 302 after a 66.
Tieza Club Intramuros was penalized twice but managed to win with 267, seven off Uragun Golf which finished second with 260.
Macquarie Links Sydney finished third with 248. (PNA)

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present From Latin America to Hollywood: Latino Film Culture in Los Angeles, 1967–2017, a series of film screenings, live conversations, oral histories, publications and a dedicated website exploring the shared influences of Latino and Latin American filmmakers and the work they created or presented in Los Angeles during the past half-century.  The screening series, which runs from September 16, 2017 through January 18, 2018, is a part of the Academy’s participation in the Getty-led Southern California-wide arts initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA.
Guest-curated by Oscar®-nominated documentarian Lourdes Portillo, From Latin America to Hollywood focuses on the social, cultural and political environment of the 1960s that sparked the Chicano and New Latin American cinema movements.  The program highlights an extensive series of 25 oral histories of such notable Latino and Latin American filmmakers as Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Gregory Nava, Lucrecia Martel, Patricia Cardoso and Luis Valdez, offering a rare opportunity for audiences to experience their perspectives firsthand.  As part of the screening series, the directors’ films will be presented together with public conversations about filmmaking and, in some cases, will premiere new Academy Film Archive restorations. The Academy’s oral history interviews were filmed between May 2014 and September 2016 and can be viewed on the Academy’s website here beginning September 15.

CHCI Honors Norman Lear with its Inaugural Pioneer Award
Congressman Joaquin Castro Led Panel Discussion on the Importance of Representation in American Television with Norman Lear, Rita Moreno, Justina Machado, Tony Plana and Paul Rodriguez
(L to R CHCI Chair, Congressman Joaquin Castro, Justina Machado, Norman Lear, Tony Plana, Rita Moreno, Domenika Lynch)
(Los Angeles, CA) – City Club in downtown Los Angeles, recognizing his commitment and contributions to diversity and inclusion in American television.
CHCI President and CEO Domenika Lynch, shared the organization’s history and mission to develop the next generation of Latino leaders and highlighted that “without strong national representation in Congress that the Latino community could not advance and realize their full potential as civically engaged citizens.”  With the country’s population currently at 18% Hispanic, Lynch highlighted the importance to do more to increase the representation of Latinos in Congress, television and film, and across all industries.
CHCI Chair and Texas Congressman Joaquín Castro, who serves on both the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, noted that, “If you look around the country you realize that not only in government and in Washington, are Latinos underrepresented, but across the American economy; in the finance industry, in law, in business, in non-profits, and certainly in the entertainment industry,” said Rep. Castro. Castro presented Lear with CHCI’s “Pioneer Award,” recognizing his contributions as “a pioneer who has broken down barriers on behalf of not only Latinos, but also African-Americans.”
Rep. Castro and Lear then began a one-on-one discussion titled “Then & Now:  A Transformative Conversation.” They touched on Lear’s important achievements, as well as the state of the U.S. film and television industry in 2017, compared to the 1970’s.

When asked where he sees television then versus now, Lear responded, “In terms of what influence we need, we have a long way to go, whether we’re talking about race, or color, or any of the social problems.”
Actors from the 2017 remake of “One Day at a Time,” including legendary EGOT winner, Rita Moreno, star Justina Machado, and guest star Tony Plana participated in the conversation. Actor and comedian Paul Rodriguez also joined and reminisced about Lear’s influence in his career and the creation of 80’s sitcom “AKA Pablo.” The panelists discussed their personal experiences in Hollywood, the challenges minority actors continue to face both on-screen and behind the camera, and what Latinos can do collectively to achieve progress.
“I remember a time when I was told that the door is ajar for Latinos, but it’s more open now,” said Rita Moreno.
“(African-Americans) are well-represented,” said Paul Rodriguez. “Latinos have a great deal of debt to African-Americans. We’ve seen their struggle. We’ve seen their trajectory. They’ve laid the groundwork.”
“Once I realized that I needed to be an actor, I was very concerned because what I saw in television and films was not very attractive,” said Tony Plana. “For someone who’s educated, it was a little demeaning.” After studying in London, Plana recalls when he first arrived to Hollywood stating, “…I got to play gang member number one.”
Since the early 70’s Television Pioneer Norman Lear has brought us groundbreaking shows highlighting diverse cultures like “All in The Family,” “Good Times,” and “The Jeffersons,” as well as the recent Netflix Latino remake of “One Day At A Time.”
Lear closed out the event with powerful words of wisdom. “There are two very important words: Over and next,” said Lear. “Live in this moment. It’s taken every second of my life to get here…so I live in the moment.”
While Lear has served as a pioneer for inclusivity, the recent UCLA Hollywood Diversity Report found that minorities make up 13.5 percent of lead roles – a stark contrast to the country’s population made up for 40 percent minorities. The report also found that minorities accounted for the majority of ticket sales for the top five films in 2015 and that films with diverse casts grossed higher profits. Yet, minorities continue to be underrepresented.
CHCI will kick off Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in Washington, D.C. with its annual Leadership Conference on September 11-12, 2017 and culminate the celebration with its 40th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.  CHCI provides leadership development programs and paid Congressional Internships and fellowships for Latino youth across the country in Washington D.C.

Me sonrío. Sé que sonrío. No creo que vuelva, … Pero, tan bella cuando enrojece, tan bella.
