Streaming comic art again.

Secret Between Sisters is going to be the rewritten version of “Leafpool’s Wish” following the pov’s of Squirrelflight and Leafpool following the pregnancy and then birth of the three.

The beginning part follows Squilf as we see her relationship with Brambleblaze after they got back together, her feelings about Ashface after she turned him down, and how she’s dealing with Starclan forcing her paws. The second half is following Leafpool and how she’s keeping the secret, her feelings about leaving her love, and the pain of giving up her kits even though she knows her sister will care for them well.

My current ideas that I’m split between are:

LeafCrow happening and splitting off BADLY, Leaf leaves expecting and bitter towards him and Crow goes back with resentment in his belly almost immediately getting with Nightcloud as both want something to prove their loyalty.

CrowLeafMoth were she runs away with Crow and still leaves him but comes back to Moth who helps along with Squilf to hide the kittens parentage, and also being a sire to them mostly shown in Lionblaze.

Also I’m definitely renaming the three. Each kit named by the three protectors of them (Leaf Moth and Squilf). Current ideas for Lion are Beetleblaze, Butterflyblaze, or Tigerblaze. Jay still fits well but he’s either Jayfall or Jaystream. Holly may be Badgerleaf, Batleaf, or Bearleaf. Leafpool was the one to name Jay, Moth names Lion, and Squilf names Holly.

Squirrelflight is told she’ll never have children of her own but this time it is true, though in the way she can never carry them to term. She does have two kits who die after they escape the fox who were named Hopekit, in hopes she’d make it and Wishkit for her wish they’d be safe in Starclan. Later on she ends up adopting Jessy’s kits Andy and Sarah who she renamed to Alderkit and Sparkkit. Yellowfang had Brokenkit and Tatteredkit (Darkstripe) in the hollow so her two kits who were retcon named go to Squilf tho they still die like canon, no more evil guys who live while their two sisters die I’m tired of that.

What is it? You want me to talk about myself? If you insist...

I'm Blizzardfur. One of the lucky few among the Clans to die as an Elder. I know, you must be wondering how I managed to pull it off. Well, perhaps I'll tell you later.

I was born to Halfface and Chervilfur. My mother earned her Name Change after she survived a nastily awful series of gashes to the face that she earned from an owl that had tried to take off with one of our Clan's kits. Sandstorm owes his life to her.

I have a brother, but he and I don't especially get along. He's a -heart, Wisteriaheart, and I swear he could kill someone just by prattling to them about herbs... Don't get me wrong, Medicine Cats are vital and important, but he doesn't know when to quit!

I'm white. One of my eyes is blue and the other is orange. The same was true of my mother before one eye was blinded as a result of her wounds. My father and brother both have blue eyes. Chervilfur is deaf. He does a marvellous job as a Warrior despite it.

I might have Kits. I had a fair few one-night-stands when I was a young Warrior, before Wisteriaheart got on me about being a 'proper mate' and 'owning up to my actions and being a proper father instead of this gallivanting about'. Huh, well, which one of us outlived the other, brother dear?!

I never had a mate. I was a Mentor, though. I was given to Jaystream since he needed someone confident and honest to help push him out of his shell. I'm entirely responsible for him becoming a -stream.

Feel free to ask questions. I don't bite. I might swat you if you ask something stupid, but I don't bite.

Cinnamonpaw: So, fuzzbrains, ever lose someone you really care about? How do you deal with THAT in your fancy clans?!

Redclaw: On behalf of everyone, I will note that loss is never easy. Each Clan strives to support its members, and that includes during times of grief. Our Medicine Cats in particular help us cope with loss and move on, accepting what has happened while still remembering those who have gone before us. I lost my mate many moons ago. Antface now walks with StarClan. I miss him at times, but I trust that I will see him again when I at least join StarClan. Blizzardfur: Well, I mean, I knew Halfface and Chervilfur were going to die before me. I was prepared for it.Though it was pretty hard to see Jaystream join StarClan before me. My own Apprentice! And then...Wisteriaheart...Shrewstar: I'll answer for myself and Batwhisker, since she's missing at the moment and can't answer questions. Plumstripe would answer, but she's awful with crowds and strangers. She's used up lots of her energy just by making the announcement about Batwhisker, poor dear. I'm sure Cinderpelt is taking lovely care of her. Anyway, uh, Batwhisker hasn't lost anyone super close, I don't think. Her mother died before Batwhisker even knew her -- nasty fever after a bad birth took Gullstorm to StarClan and Ternkit became a Spirit Kit -- so that doesn't quite count... Oh, right, Lizardfang. Her foster mother. She died not too long ago as a result of, hm, battle wounds I think it was. She was pretty put out for a while about that. As for me, well, as Leader I saw many Clanmates die before me. Some older, some younger. It's the curse of a Leader. I had to watch my direct family all die before me, actually. It's rough, but that's what the post entails. Dawnfoot: Well, uh, seeing my Mentor die was really rough. She, um, Pochardfoot. She died of a really nasty lump in her throat. It just kept getting bigger, it was a slow and painful death... I wouldn't wish that on even my greatest enemy. So much pain... Maplewhisker: I've seen plenty of cats die before me. Dunnockstream, my best friend, for one. Though Tigerflower outlived me. Waxkit was born dead. I learned to cope. It wasn't always easy, but a good Deputy must cope with hardship for the sake of the Clan. No Clan can function if their Deputy just stops doing anything productive for moons at a time. A few days of mourning, fine, as long as someone is there to handle the work. But just disappearing and leaving the Clan floundering? Unthinkable. Ratleaf: As a Medicine Cat, I saw many cats under my paws at some time or another. Not all returned to life among the living. Some have died, and at times I felt uncertain. Was there anything I could have done to prevent that outcome?Ultimately, I learned, no. StarClan takes who they will, and not even the greatest Medicine Cat of all time can prevent that. That is a fact of life: all will one day die. Barleycloud: I'm not really the kind of cat to be emotional when Clanmates die. Some have accused me of being heartless. I prefer private. I mourn in my heart while still performing my duties and being there for those who need me. I've always been that way, as far as I can recall. Foxflower: Not long ago, I lost my mother, Asterheart. It was...odd. She and I had never been exceedingly close; even so, she did her best even if she wasn't a natural at motherhood. In a sense, I mourned that which could have been in addition to mourning the fine Warrior that the Clan lost that day. Loss is a strange thing, because no two cats truly respond to the same kind of grief in the same way. How can you measure emotions against each other if you can never truly feel what another cat is feeling?
