anon, you have sent this confession to the right person, because oh my god. i know that they’re awful people, i know this. they are the absolute worst & i am well aware of that fact, but god help me, i love the bro house. i do, a friend of mine got to hear my detailed essay on the bro house & why i actually felt bad for these men at certain points (whilst also enjoying seeing them get what was coming to them) after this episode aired. i love these characters, zinn, wyatt, barry & james? adored them, thought they were incredibly well written & i hated them, i loved to hate them. the naughty list is one of my favourite things about the american horror story universe. the story was so clever & did a fantastic job of exploring the awful side of these influencers as they touched on some very real things that happen with these kinds of people & i thought it was brilliant how they did it. the actors who played the guys were incredible & i hope that they’re all in the main show in the future. i was so pleased to see that they had brought nico greetham to the main show after this episode & gave him a role in another stories episode because he absolutely nailed the character of zinn. genuinely i love this episode, it’s well written, it’s actually quite funny. the opening will never not have me near dying with laughter.

The JMTP Pro Am Returns to the Hamptons for its Ninth year; Blake, Petkovic and more to Play
John and Patrick McEnroe have announced that they will be joined by James Blake, Andrea Pektovic, Mats Wilander and Christina McHale at the 9th Annual Johnny Mac Tennis Project’s Pro Am in the Hamptons on Saturday, August 26, 2023. The lineup of tennis greats who will be joining the McEnroe Brothers, and a list of tennis legends that is expected to grow between now and the event date, will provide a one-of-a-kind experience for all who attend.
Participants will compete in a round-robin tournament alongside former WTA and ATP Tour professionals, current and former Division I College players, and top John McEnroe Tennis Academy coaches. Player spots start at $2,500. Guests can bid on exclusive items and experiences throughout the day via a curated silent auction and a live auction. Light fare and refreshments will be served. Following the Pro Am, there will be a separate after-party hosted at a local private residence featuring drinks, dinner, dancing, and a live auction. Tickets to the after party are $250, or can be purchased in conjunction with a player spot.
This event raises funds for the Johnny Mac Tennis Project (JMTP), a non-profit founded by John, which changes young lives by removing the racial, economic and social barriers to success through tennis. The JMTP Pro Am, now in its 9th year, has become the flagship summer fundraiser for the organization and has grown each year since 2015. This year’s event is expected to feature 144 players, including 9 Tennis Legends, 63 pros, and 72 amateurs, making it the biggest one-day Pro Am event in the world.
“We are excited to welcome James, Andrea, Mats and Christina to the JMTP Pro AM,” McEnroe said. “This is our big annual event, and our player lineup represents not just elite tennis, but elite individuals who have gone above and beyond their success on the court to grow the game of tennis, especially for young people of diverse backgrounds. Their participation will make an important day even more special.”
“It is an honor to be able to take the court and have some fun with John and Patrick just before the start of the 2023 US Open,” Blake said. “It is the time of year when much of the world is talking and thinking about tennis, and we want to use that attention to raise added funds for one of the best and most worthwhile causes in our sport: the Johnny Mac Tennis Project.”

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 12 via The Criterion Channel. James Jean designed the cover art for Netflix's 2022 stop motion animated adapation of Carlo Collodi's 1883 novel.
Guillermo del Toro co-directs with Mark Gustafson from a script by del Toro and Patrick McHale (Over the Garden Wall). Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Gregory Mann, Burn Gorman, Ron Perlman, John Turturro, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, Tim Blake Nelson, Christoph Waltz, and Tilda Swinton star.
Pinocchio has been digitally mastered in 4K, supervised by del Toro and Gustafson, with Dolby Atmos sound. It's presented in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR.

A classic tale is reborn through the inspired imagination of cinematic dream-weaver Guillermo del Toro, directing alongside Mark Gustafson. Realized through boundary-pushing, breathtakingly intricate stop-motion animation, this dark rendering of the fable of the puppet boy and his maker daringly transfers the story to Fascist Italy, where the irrepressible Pinocchio gradually learns what it means to be human through his experiences of war, death, and sacrifice. This Pinocchio imbues the oft-told tale with a bold new resonance about living with courage and compassion.
Pre-order Pinocchio.

The play's the thing (aka a look at some of James Lance's theatre roles).
OF KITH AND KIN
THE DEAD MONKEY
JEEVES AND WOOSTER IN PERFECT NONSENSE
CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY
*A reading at Edinburgh Fringe where James read an excerpt from former Mr. Katie Price, Peter Andre's autobiography, Richard Burton's (which a reviewer said "Lance was brilliant as the libidinous Welshman as well as Eminem. It's the latter staging that Jason Sudeikis' uncle George Wendt performed, as well as SHRINKING costar Michael Urie.
More Roles
INGREDIENT X
PYTHONESQUE
What did the critics say, "James Lance juggles Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam and somehow manages to morph physically as well as vocally. A teeny hint of Frankie Howerd in his Eric Idle does no harm at all."
"The cast all have fine talents for mimicry, not least James Lance who plays a sleazily indignant Eric Idle, a laconic Terry Gilliam and a superior David Frost – occasionally more than one of them at once – to hilarious effect."
KALEIDOSHOW
ORDINARY DREAMS (with this TEACHERS costar Adrian Bower)
*Preview of the play.
Notice that he's wearing the same shirt and almost the same cardigan in the video and the after-party pictures that were taken a year apart. The two pictures were like looking at one of those "Spot The Difference" games.
PIRANDELLO'S HENRY IV
THE INLAND SEA
THE BACK ROOM
*Probably one of the first time he acted with Patrick Baladi who he he would go on to appear in NO HEROICS, SENSITIVE SKIN and TED LASSO.
If I had a nickel for every time James Lance played a gay Spaniard, I'd only have two nickels which isn't a lot but yadda yadda yadda.
QUEEN CHRISTINA
ELEGIES FOR PUNKS, ANGELS AND RAGING QUEENS
*James was part of the original company and played the role of Dwight.
GLEE's Kevin McHale played Dwight in a charity Zoom event and it was fitting because the casting note for Dwight read, " A typical, young, Broadway-chorus-boy type, Southern accent can work."
