Like i think before TMK came out and I first heard a season 3 AND a movie were coming out I had the idea that they’d stretch out TMK which I think would make a cool au type thing
It could be as simple of a change as the changling spell not being instantly reversed when the daughters are reunited with their mothers, then hilda being forced to go back to trollberg but needing to stay on the down low cus the troll conflict isn’t resolved yet, with the rest of the story following how to reverse the spell
I’ve been like writing basic points of this theoretical au and I might post more abt it cus I have been thinking about it for 3 years

#churchy talks#I'm watching Jall's Shipwrecked 64 vod cuz I had to leave during the stream since it was 10 pm and like#oog. scary. idk what it is about haunted low poly games but they get me so paranoid and spooked#maybe it's because low poly games where such a big part of my childhood. I look at a low poly model and I feel at home#they did a great job with the game. I'd love to play it myself#but it's one of those games where I'd need someone with me to keep me grounded so I don't lose my mind out of stress and fear and paranoia#I'd also need a little notebook and cipher websites cuz there's a lot of puzzles with codes#churchy tag rambles

Drunken Texting
Summary: Padme sends an embarrassing (and potentially humiliating) text to Anakin while drunk.
Prompt: Imagine person A accidentally asking person B to “send dunes” only for person B to fly to the desert and strip on a sand dune to take photos for A.
Note: I modified the prompt slightly for this story.
Also, Padme's drunken ramblings are courtesy of the Drunk Post translator.
Sabe should have known that it was a mistake to ask about Anakin when Padme was clearly missing him (and drunk). But no, she just had to blurt out things like she always did while she was drunk and ask Padme about Anakin. While Padme was drunk. And right now, Padme was a very weepy drunk.
"I just miss him os much," cried Padme. "I wanted to cgo with Ankian and meet his mother, but I hyad a pretensation at work, so I couldn't sgo."
She gulped down her drink. "He's isn Phoenix all aloneo. It's a desert yoau know. And Ahnakin hates sand. He has to face the sand jall alone."
"I'm sure he'll be just fine Padme," Sabe tried to reassure her, but Padme was having none of it.
"Not pto mention that hfis mom ihs sick," Padme continued, as if she hadn't heard a word Sabe had said. "She's geutting better, but I should have been there with him. Anakin zhad to face sand and hqis mother being sick all alone."
Sabe could feel that Padme was about to do something incredibly stupid very soon. It was due to what she called her Best Friend Sense. It pretty much worked overtime around Padme, who had the tendency to get into trouble on a fairly regular basis.
And considering that Padme was drunk; the probability that she would do something stupid had just shot up.
Sure enough, after taking another shot of tequila, Padme's mood went from weepy to bouncy and she shot up in her chair, grinning.
"I know what to do!" she said. "Ir'll text him! And thlat way, Anakin wouldn't have to be alone!" Padme immediately unlocked her phone and began texting her boyfriend.
Alarm bells rang in Sabe's head. "Padme, are you sure that you should be texting Anakin right now?"
Padme just glared at her friend. "Yes I'm smure. Anakin shoauldn't have to bye alone. And syou're not goivng to stop me. So theren!"
Sabe wanted to stop her best friend, but she that when Padme got like this, there was no stopping her.
All Sabe could do was hope that the fallout wouldn't be as bad as she feared.
Padme Amidala wanted to die. Preferably by sinking into the floor and never coming back up.
She had woken up in the morning with a killer headache, a mouth that tasted like someone’s armpit and the discovery of what she had texted Anakin the night before.
A series of rambling drunken texts, the last of which was the main cause for her impending humiliation.
Send dunes.
Padme dropped her phone on the bed and shook her head. "I'm never going drinking with Sabe again." The resulting hangover and embarrassment at the previous night's activities just weren't worth it. She shot a glare at her supposed best friend, who was still fast asleep. Sabe never woke up before noon the day after she went drinking; she was a deep sleeper and not even an earthquake could wake her up.
Padme sighed and walked into the kitchen. She needed something to eat before she could even think about trying to figure out how to tackle the situation she had landed herself in. She didn’t have that much time, Anakin was always an early riser and he checked his messages the minute he got up.
Her phone chirped as Padme was drinking her morning cup of coffee, still partly hungover and no closer to even having an idea of what to do.
Dread filled Padme's stomach as she unlocked her phone and read the message Anakin had sent.
I think I know what you meant when you send me that message, but I wanted to have a little fun with it. I really hope you like this Padme. I hate sand, but I love you so much more. <3
And you don't need to worry about Mom. She's getting better, and I'll be back home Thursday. Please don’t go drinking until then. I can’t stop your drunken antics when I’m all the way here. Love you. <3
What followed was a selfie of a half-dressed Anakin laying back on a sand dune smiling cheekily at the camera. The Sun was just rising up behind the sand dune, casting a soft golden glow around him, making him look so much more handsome than he already was. Padme couldn't help but burst into laughter. She really did have such a wonderful boyfriend.

Studio Weave installs stilted hikers' shelter beside a Bordeaux river
Hikers can stay overnight for free at this elevated shelter on the outskirts of Bordeaux, designed by London-based Studio Weave to reference the form and materiality of traditional water towers.
Studio Weave was commissioned to design the shelter by arts and architecture collective Bruit du Frigo, which has established a series of shelters around the periphery of the French city.
The Refuges Périurbains project, developed in collaboration with visual arts organisation Zebra 3, aims to encourage residents and visitors to explore the under-utilised spaces surrounding the city.
Hikers are able to ramble along a network of pedestrianised routes around the fringes of Bordeaux and can stay overnight in one of 12 unique shelters each designed to accommodate up to nine people.
Studio Weave's contribution is called Le Haut Perché and is located in the Parc des Jalles to the northwest of the city. Its unusual shape is informed by water towers dotted around the surrounding region.
"Many of the area's post-war era towers in particular contribute striking additions to the landscape, with their out-of-the-ordinary nature," Studio Weave's Je Ahn told Dezeen.
"Le Haut Perche is a petit brother of these extraordinary towers. We want to provide a delight – a bit of surprise, perhaps, after a long day of walking."
The shelter is situated at the end of a path next to the disused water mill and former miller's house of Le Moulin du Moulinat, which now houses the offices of a wildlife protection association.
Its setting in a small woodland clearing alongside a Jalle, or river, that supplies Bordeaux with one of its main water sources, informed the decision to elevate the structure to enhance its views of the surroundings.
The five-sided form featuring hooded roofs extending from each section is intended to provide focused views and sounds from various directions.
Arched openings of varying sizes are set into the facades at different heights to frame specific views that require the visitor to sit, stand or lie down to appreciate.
The shelter is clad externally in wooden strips and is perched on top of an array of arching pre-weathered steel pillars that recall the slender supports of existing water towers.
A steep steel staircase ascends to an opening in the underside of the wooden volume. The architects wanted the structure to function as a canopy, providing shelter from rain or sun, and acting as a porch for the accommodation above.
The studio worked closely with a fabrication team from Zebra 3 to develop a system for prefabricating the shelter off-site, therefore minimising disruption to the sensitive landscape during construction.
Studio Weave is a collective founded in 2006 that develops idiosyncratic architectural solutions for public, private and commercial clients. Its previous projects include an artist's cabin that cantilevers over a Scottish stream, and a new roof terrace featuring colourful herringbone decking at the London College of Fashion.

Can we talk about the bellkeeper real quick like we can all agree that he was introduced with the intention of being Hilda’s father right. Right

collection of splatoon headcanons & random canon facts but some of these I forgot which is canon and which Isn’t because they overlap so much
Octolings arent mind controlled by the shades/goggles or Octavio’s music, it’s all just propaganda stuff that keeps them loyal (eyewear's just cool tech)
(On a less canon & more headcanon-y note, Callie actually got pretty close to Octavio, on behalf of the canon fact that she heard out Octavio by choice. She empathized with & started to really understand Octarian society's issues while down there. I'd argue she probably stayed there by choice for a long while before Octavio fucked up all that trust and brainwashed her)
Pearl's voice used to be uncontrollably destructive. She only learned to control her voice after meeting Marina
Marina is just in love with Pearl. I see so many depictions of Pearl being a pining head over heels disaster for Marina but rarely the other way around, I need justice
The Sea Cucumber flip phones in Splat 3 are actually an older model, the smart phones in Splat 2 are newer models. Sea Cucumber phones aren't a new trendy phone, residents of Splatsville just can’t afford the newer models
Marie is the younger cousin & saw Callie as like an older sister to look up to when they were kids
Inklings didn’t think Octolings were squids because they’re dumb, they thought Octolings were squids because they’re taught that Octarians are extinct in Inkadia
Agent 4 was homeschooled but also really academically advanced. They only just started going to a school in Inkopolis shortly after getting recruited as an agent (Yes, they make that transit to school from wherever the hell they live every single day)
Shiver’s family/clan is just a bunch of sharks
Each member of Deep Cut come from long lines of families that have been hosting festivals in Splatsville for generations, each family representing a light that saved their ancestors in the floods mentioned in the Sunken Scrolls (half of this is canon)
(Shiver being an adopted octoling still works in this case, though them coming from a family of octolings in general is probably the most likely to be canon option. Idc though shark family shiver real)
Marina definitely makes manga under a pseudonym. It may or may not be that one yuri/love triangle manga series in the game, but if it’s not she definitely has a collection of them
Big Man’s real name is Mantaro, though most people think ‘Big Man’ is his actual legal name

I've been listening to the Inkopolis Memorial Remix and I've been wondering why Octavio would make a remix dedicated to Inkopolis of all things story-wise.
Then I figured, What if Octavio and Callie both gained a better understanding of each others' worlds through one another?
Callie, despite having her brain remixed by the Octarian leader, found such a deep appreciation and understanding of Octarian culture and society that neither she or Marie could've ever fathomed a year earlier. And Octavio, despite his low view of Inklings, found a better appreciation for them through Callie (Probably reminds him of Craig when they were younger)
I like the idea that Callie willingly stayed underground with Octavio for a while to take a break from her career and personal issues in Inkopolis. She felt like she couldn’t really go to anyone when Cuttlefish, 3, and Marie were all busy and gone, so during a visit to Octo Valley, Octavio decided to take advantage of that fact. He convinced her to break him out through that temptation of escapism. And, impulsively, Callie accepted. She made more music collaborating with Turquoise October and gained a huge following while still being anonymous, something she couldn’t get in Inkopolis.
They both would obviously be really hesitant of trusting each other, being on two different sides of a finished-unfinished war, but Callie put it aside and didn’t think too hard about it. Eventually, they started to trust each other, maybe Octavio opened up about how it is trying to lead a deteriorating nation, or Callie starts reminiscing with him about playing with Marie as kids. Little things, y’know? At least until Octavio broke that trust with the introduction of the Hypnoshades.
Her relationship with Octavio might’ve been broken at that point, but he changed her whole view on him and Octarians as a whole. Octavio was similar, Callie brought a new groove to Octarian society, he saw her become a hit and bring joy to his people underground and maybe to him too. His negative views on inkling society I’d argue changed a lot because of Callie’s influence.
I figure the brainwashing planned from the beginning, but she still left a impact on him. Enough to get him to develop the Inkopolis Memorial Remix, which I think would be a very nice, bittersweet explanation.

It’s not like their clans had a rivalry with each other, all three of their clans get along since they host Splatsville festivals together, Shiver and Frye were just Like That
