Ten years ago, on June 21, 2012 the play 3C debuted off-Broadway.
A parody of Three’s Company, the play starred Anna Chlumsky, Hannah Cabell and Jake Silbermann as two female roommates who have to tell their landlord their new male roommate is gay if he is to move in. However, in 3c, he is gay and the homophobic humor of Three’s Company takes a darker turn. The “naughty” sexual innuendoes of the sitcom looked a lot more like sexual harassment on 3C.
The company that owned the rights sent playwright David Adjmi a cease-and-desist order that prevented any further productions of 3C. In April 2015, a judge declared Adjmi’s play a “drastic departure” from the sitcom that inspired it.
I may have misunderstood your tags, but the internet history guy is Eli Manning, an American football player. That's from a Saturday Night Live skit: youtube(.)com/watch?v=h2ra7ixXM10
yeah i saw it. he just REALLY looks like Jake Silbermann in that sketch - i thought it was him.
I haven't get over this scene since I saw it. I love the way Van delivers these lines, the changes he does in his voice, he's amazing. Luke and Noah are so cute
