1.) Why did you choose your URL?

I draw/scribble, writers use “scribble” as a replacement for the action of tickling, and since “scribbles” is taken, I just had to change it up a bit :>

yeah a bunch, but they act more like folders for reblogs and have the dumbest names

3.) How long have you been on tumblr?

I used to have a super old one like 5 years ago but I deleted it :) I started this blog in July 2019

5.) Why did you start your blog in the first place?

wanted to share my art I guess?

6.) Why did you choose your Icon/pfp?

I love kuga yuma, and this one scene was really cute so I redrew it. doesnt he look like a little tickle monster???

7.) Why did you choose your header?

time to mention 3000 miles for the 3rd time, Ive actually been rereading it today

I loved this one scene and I had to draw it out!

kind of a lot? I feed off of validation and the sengen fanfics

@helloitsghost okay first of all, I named him after brambleclaw, a character in warriorcats, not just straight up “warriorcats”- get his name right >:T AND IT STILL BEATS BEING NAMED AFTER SOME FOOD

second of all, again I was T E N and I changed his name back to martin anyways :p

third, I didnt even do anything to start this fight, bruh I just wanted to share a slightly embarrassing fact about myself I didnt need to get called out like this

I cant believe my first “fight” with a tumblr blog was over smth like this LOL

15.) How do you feel about “you need to reblog” post?

I actually hate the ones that are like “reblog this or else *insert smth bad*”, but some of them are important and I do have a sideblog for that

Writer Interview

I was tagged by @what-if-im-a-mermaid. Thank youuu. <33

1) What made you start writing for the first time?

I don’t really know, because I’ve been writing stories since I was just a kid. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that reading was a big part of my life--my dad used to read to me every night before bed, and I started reading ahead of my grade level pretty early on. Something about the magic of storytelling just grabbed me. That’s why I got into writing fanfiction too. I read so much of it for so long, and finally I got to this point where my interests intersected with a writer or writers who really inspired me, and I’d want to dip my toe in myself. A lot of my inspiration comes from this feeling of “I want to make people feel like [X] makes me feel.”

2) If you could only write about the ocean, the forest, or the desert for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?

The forest, for sure. At least, most of the kinds of stories I like to write would be more likely to take place in a forest.

3) Would you ever write a memoir?

Lolno. No one would ever want to read about my boring life.

4) Do you like writing by hand, or writing with a computer?

The only time I write anything by hand these days is to sign my name to things. I think if I even tried it, I’d be too slow, and it’d be incredibly frustrating.

5) Would you rather be popular among many readers, or unpopular, but loved by critics?

I go back and forth. I’d like to think there’s no reason a person can’t be loved both by the masses and by critics--just putting that out there--but...I think it honestly depends. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m not interested in being...like...a Don Delillo, but I don’t want to be a Dan Brown either, you know? In fandom at least, I tend to place a high value on the opinion of people I admire, but that doesn’t mean I don’t also like to see that kudos count go up. I guess if you made me choose, I’d probably pick the latter, but if you asked me again tomorrow, that answer might change.

6) Do you listen to music while you write? What is the best writing music?

Not much anymore, although I’m trying to sort of train myself to get back into it, because I think it has its benefits. Lately it breaks my concentration too much, but the thing I liked about writing with music when I did do it was that it kept me from thinking too hard about what I was writing and getting blocked up. The best writing music for me is always something familiar that I don’t have to concentrate too hard on because I’ve heard it a million times--ideally something that evokes strong emotions in me. So old favorite albums, playlists of nostalgic songs, that kind of thing.

7) Do people you’ve met find their way into your writing?

For sure, but not in obvious ways (at least, I don’t think it’s very obvious). I’ve definitely stolen lines of dialogue from real life, but other than that I think real people’s influence on my writing is more subtle. Like I’ll write a scene based around how a certain person makes me feel, or I’ll give a character one specific personality trait or interest. Nothing so overt that if that person stumbled across it they’d notice, probably.
