Fabian watched The Ball walk away, knowing but not understanding why his heartrate was suddenly going up. He’d been home alone before, this wasn’t some unprecedented situation. Hell, he’d walked through the Nightmare Forest alone, faced his greatest fear (his greatest foe, his official nemesis). How could anything be scary compared to that? Still, something about the silent abyss behind him terrified him. Looking into the grand hall, the panic from before returned. It felt as though the house threatened to swallow him up. He could swear the shadows on the walls were getting darker, creeping closer. His breath quickened. The pit in his chest deepened. The urge to escape took over and he half ran half tripped out of the house. “Let me drive you home!” ~~~~~~ Or, Fabian is can't stand his big empty house and Riz can maybe read him better than Fabian had thought.
