Listened to "Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart" and thought of Rhack and now I have THOUGHTTTSSS

just . the idea of them both being such baddd fucking people that bring out the insane ups and downs of each other . jacks accidental grasp on every situation and the accierntal force of evrything revolving around him so he can never jsut . have something okay with Rhys because Jack lacks that real human push of being able to just . be happy with somene and sacrifice his own emotions for them ? jack, who only knows manipulation and dirty, rough betrayal and sly backstabs and exploitation and then being told "you can be good, jack, you can be good- you make me happy, we can be heroes, we're a good team" and jsut knowing that thats not . JUST KNOWNG THATS NOTTTT

and rhys knowing that these sweet nothings are truly jsut nothings and having this stupid hope that jack is different, jack is nice- its not the real one so he must be different a - GSHRGRH !!

thm both having expectations and stupid hope for maybe something different even though both of them are so flawed in themselves that they bring out the worsts???? because a moment between them can be so happy, so alive, so good, then one of them says something wrong and that scale inevitably tips to the bad once again???? AND ITS THIS PERFECT IMBALANCE OF "WE WORK WELL TOGETEHR JSUT NOT TOO CLOSE"

people who like passionately hate rhack confuse me because like sures its not your cup of tea but its a beautiful trash pile of two fucked up people who try to make a garden in a drought..

THE IDEA OF RHYS HOLDING ONTO THAT EYE, DESPARATE FOR THAT SOMETHING THEY MIGHT HAEV AGAIN?? CUS HEY, HE MAY BE BAD BUT HE ALSO MADE RHYS FEEL SO GOOD/NSXI .

and

and the idea of Rhys, after going through everything, hardened up, tough Rhys, holding this small hope he'd be different and bringing him back on that foolish hope that sent him falling in the first place? (which that is slightly supported in game by a spot where Rhys talks to fiona and lb and is like "he was my idol," or something like that and hes all reluctant to answer and embarrassed almost)

and the idea that no, Jack didnt change- OR THE IDEA HE DID! Rhys gave him something he definitely never got in his brief human contact before . i mean he was stuck with nakayama, who promptly died- and he was stuck as this static … villain almost . rhys gave him real contact- rhys gave him dynamic! rhys gave him things to pick up and adapt on!! jsut the real huamn nature of trust and emotions and trust.

and the idea that jack does change- stuck in isolation and he changes

would rhys ever avtually consider that? would he ever bring jack back? or would he let the grudge from the betrayal fester and eventually break or lock up the eye later down the line, dooming them both to just distant yearning???

do you ship anybody else from succession? how’d you feel about RomanGerri or Roman/Tabitha?

so this is a take that got me blocked by a ridiculously large number of succession accounts but I am notttt a romangerri fan. my thoughts on it have definitely changed a bit since I first started watching the show though!

I think the dynamic itself is very interesting and based on roman's particular trauma and issues it does make sense in a way that that's the type of thing he would sort of seek out. I don't really have anything against the fact that it's in the show, even though it's definitely not my favorite duo. it's just really not my cup of tea and I don't really understand the people that are completely obsessed with it. I especially don't understand the people that think it's "healthy" lmao. the whole point is that it's not a healthy dynamic in the slightest. not to mention that the entirety of s3 was literally just sexual harassment from roman. but I digress.

on the other hand I fucking LOVE tabitha. she's my best girl and she deserves so much more screen time. I think she's one of the characters that really understands roman. all of their scenes together are so soft and really highlight that they care about each other, even though their relationship is a little bit weirder than most. I can't wait to see her again in s4 (assuming the editors didn't cut her scenes. I'll kill them myself if they did). eunuch besties 4 life.

in general though I don't really care all that much about succession ships? like the reason why I love stewyroman so much is because it is a rarepair and could never possibly be canon, so it's more about the potential of it than anything else. they're my favorite characters and there's so much to explore with both of their personalities, so it just sorta works for me!!!

4. THE WEATHER!!! its so nice and breezy and not as humid anymoree!! (after the typhoon last week it's become cooler!! FALL IS HEREE EEEEE!!! which im so happy abt becuz less humid and last year's winter was a fucking joke it was here for like 2 months instead of the usual 4-5 months and kinda sad cuz i barely got to wear my hoodies cuz it was so fking hot and also cuz we were at home all the time :/ but hopefully winter will not disappoint this year!! praying for my nose and feet if it does get cold)

5. that i'm leaving good impressions on my professors👅 (i think some of them might find my over eagerness to participate in discussions obnoxious but they can just shut up im sorry i have opinions ok maybe i CAN be a lil obnoxious sometimes but it's all part of my charm!! im the human embodiment of an over eager puppy most of the time when im not feeling sad so yeee also i think some ppl don't like me cuz they think im showing off but im notttt im just really excited that i can add sth to the conversation and also i cannot for the life of me shut up whoopsies!)

So I usually dislike intense bitterness or anything that seems bland. I like matcha (which idk if that counts lol) and I’ve tried chamomile but I also don’t usually really enjoy that. I prefer more sweet/floral-y flavors

oooh i love matcha and that's good to know!!! i also have a burning hatred for chamomile lol. if you dislike intense bitterness/bland teas, i would recommend just being really careful with the types of brands that you buy tea from. this is especially true for floral teas, because it's surprisingly easy to mess up jasmine greens/rose/hibiscus and make it bitter. my favorite brands are murchies and steven smith, but if you want a more affordable version i love pg tips (if you're looking for black tea) and twinings. also, make sure you're not brewing your tea for too long. do notttt be the type of person who drinks your tea with the teabag left in. no judgement if anyone reading does that but i only recc that if you like bitter teas!

ok, specific recommendations (and sorry for how long this is, i'm trying to avoid doing my final paper) (also if you don't want to order fancy teas online the decaf option has a lot more things that you'd just see on store shelves):

caffeinated options

—if you're gonna go to starbucks, get an iced chai. not a hot one bc every hot chai ive gotten from them has tasted like dishwater. the iced chai is always.v good i feel like they put honey in it or something but i literally know they dont dfjksa;lf

—if you go to a boba shop, order a thai milk tea! i feel like u might like that one. it's the most vanilla esque of the black tea family. its giving marshmallow vibes im ngl.

—earl grey from steven smith. (DO NOT buy off of amazon, no guarantee they'll send u the real thing lmfaooo) im gonna b honest bestie i think this one might be the best for you if you like something floral and want a pick-me up caffeine wise. if you don't want this to be too bitter, mix with a splash of milk of your choice, vanilla, and sugar. ideally if possible use vanilla syrup, but it's fine if you can't. diy london fogs literally saved me this semester. earl grey has notes of bergamot and it gives the floral/citrus vibes while still having the fullness of a black tea.

—vanilla chai from bigelow. this was all i drank in my first semester of uni. it really warms you up and i think the vanilla is a nice way to add

—baker street from murchies. sooooo use your best judgement on this one because it may not be your cup of tea (ik thats not funny im sorry) as it is p smoky. if you're curious about lapsang souchong but are too afraid to commit to something that extreme (it is a very polarizing flavor...some people refer to it as gunpowder flavored but i promise it is just smoky and cozy like ur sitting outside by the fire), then do this tea. baker street is inspired by sherlock holmes and is a little more floral and sweet than lapsang. it's my all time favorite tea ever

—canada breakfast from murchies. this is english breakfast if u like sweet and you cry over how strong irish breakfast is. this is maple syrup sweet. my mom has a giant sweet tooth and loves this. if its too strong add a splash of oat milk in there and a spoonful of brown sugar!

—jasmine green tea from steven smith. DO NOT overbrew this one. it will make u sob. this is a very delicate, soft floral that also has some caffeine and umami moments w the green tea. so so good if you're a matcha fan. chefs kiss.

—library blend from murchies. this is a little floral and blends well as it's a combo between green and black teas. it's rlly lovely :)

decaf options

—iced lemon loaf tea from tazo. i've yet to meet a single person who doesn't like this. it's sweet while still having a little bit of that lemony citrus. v good to drink while doing hw.

—bengal spice from celestial seasonings. it's hella important that you don't brew this for too long as it is very spicy and has a lot of cinnamon notes, but it's super cozy and a little sweet. do be warned that this has a tiny bit of a licorice aftertaste, though.

—country peach passion from celestial seasonings. so lovely, nice n sweet, if you like iced teas this is great iced as well. don't be scared off by the chamomile taste note. im not a chamomile fan and i enjoy this tea

—honey lavender tea from yogi. OH MY GOD every time i drink this i feel like im ascending. literally crave this rn. oml. so so good. it's great to fall asleep w.

—sugar cookie sleigh ride from celestial seasonings. it's one of my guilty pleasures lol it's sweet and i could honestly drink buckets of this

—vanilla sleepytime tea from celestial seasonings. i apologize for the heavy emphasis on celestial seasonings LMAO im not rlly an herbal tea kinda gal so most of the decaf options i've had are all from my childhood. anyways the vanilla definitely scales back on the chamomile and another plus side is that it will absolutely knock u the fuck out

—lemongrass tea from steven smith. a little on the pricier side, but mix this with some honey and literally see whatever deity you believe in (if you believe in any). also i acknowledge this has some chamomile notes but god this is so refreshing and amazing

ummmm ok so apologies if this isn't exactly what you're looking for (ik this is a lot and may not be for someone who doesn't want to buy expensiveish teas) but those are my top recommendations! also if any of them are too bitter i recommend adding either agave/honey to floral and herbal teas, and brown sugar and a little milk of your choice to any of the malty black teas. happy tea drinking adventures! lmk if you try one and like it but no pressure!

Ohhh my god I completely feel like Castiel would HATE, and i mean absolutely despise the song “Truth Hurts” by Lizzo lmfaooo he like internally cringes whenever he hears this song. He’s not a fan of most pop songs anyways but this one just really grinds his gears for some reason. He probably thinks it’s annoying how all the girls in the club start screaming when it comes on lmfao

Nathaniel

Nath probably hates like, ANY Nicki Minaj song. But when “Anaconda” came out… He thought he was going to have a stroke lmfao he couldn’t get it out of his head for DAYS. He’s literally gone out of his way to make sure spotify doesn’t play Nicki Minaj ever again. Not that he would listen to her anyways but JUST IN CASE.

Hyun

I feel like Hyun isn’t a big fan of “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish. It’s not that he hates it per say, it’s just notttt his cup of tea. Idk he just doesn’t vibe with it. Also not super current but he HATEDDDDD “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” by Taylor Swift lololol it was the most annoying song to ever exist in his opinion. Probably not a general Taylor fan anyways.
