In blue pen - they write the number of pills to be taken in the am /mid-day/evening in simple code. II - 0 - 0 equals 2 in the morning - nothing at noon or in the evening. I - 0 - I equals 1 in the am, nothing at noon and 1 in evening. #signs of #stress and how I have learned to make stress work for vs against me As a leader - I'm often tempted to "go hard" - not rest and be 1000% business focused - to the detriment of my mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well being. I've learned through the #The1xThing book and mindful meditation practice to instead focus on the whole self and to put things in its proper place. It is impossible for me to deliver great work if a loved one is desperately ill. Ruthless prioritisation where I get the most important thing - the thing that will make everything else easy, unimportant or irrelevant means that I know I must: 1) Sleep or find myself making preventable major mistakes 2) Taking care of my health (spiritual / physical / emotional ) without which I cannot reach my goals 3) Using stress wisely to focus on the important vs the urgent Being grateful for all that I have and remembering that every day above ground is a good day. I continually see opportumities in Africa that are basic. Africa is blessed with hundreds of rivers and lakes...a great city like #Lagos #Nigeria has almost 10 million people but few to no professional water taxi / ferry services. #Germany and the #Rhine river transit syatem allpws german firms to move goods faster and cheaper than any comparable land or air based transit system.
