Champagne Problems
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Summary: In which Wanda rejected your marriage proposal, inspired by Taylor Swift's song Champagne Problems.
Warnings: pure angst, cursing.
Word Count: 1.8k
↳ Please, be aware that English isn't my first language, fell free to tell me if there are any mistakes.
You booked the midnight train for a reason, you wanted to contemplate your pain with your head against the train window.
The reason for your suffering had a name, Wanda Maximoff.
You sat down in one of the seats, feeling the hurt in your chest burning hard just for thinking about her. The train wasn't too much crowned, however, it wasn't all empty. There were people talking and people sleeping, you were not sure which was worse.
People looked at you, certainly worried about how miserable you were.
You finally rested your head on the train window, looking at the view from the outside. Unintentionally, you remembered Wanda's hand holding yours as the two of you danced on the dance floor.
Wanda smiled at you, and she looked happy. But she wasn't, at least, not complete. Not happy enough to say yes.
However, nobody could ever have thought that she would say no.
You felt the tears coming out, your mouth trembled as you remembered. Your heart was made of glass and she let it drop it.
You had prepared a speech, but when you got down on your knees, you didn't find the expression of emotion and excitement that you had imagined she would had. Instead, you saw Wanda's body tense and fear in her green eyes.
You were speechless.
She didn't even let you ask, she ran away, leaving you there, on your knees and crestfallen on the dance floor.
You were so broken that you hadn't the strength to reach out to her, Wanda's love escaped beyond your reaches.
You saw the pity look that your family and friends gave to you. You had told them that you were going to propose Wanda that night, you couldn't keep it a secret.
You had bought Dom Pérignon and one of your family members had already popped the bottle in an early celebration, it was humiliating.
"Maybe it's just one of her...What does she call? Oh, yeah," Steve remembered before anyone could answer him. "her champagne problems." Steve was trying to calm you down, but he wasn't succeeding.
Fuck Wanda, you thought, your veins filled with angry. Fuck her and her champagne problems.
But even with all the fury you were feeling, Wanda's picture was still in your wallet along with your mom's ring.
You didn't hate her for leaving, you could never hate her.
You remembered the first time you made Wanda blush, it was in November.
You both met in college, and you thought you were the luckiest person in the world for having Wanda as your roommate. She was organized, friendly and didn't ask too many questions, everything a person could want from a roommate.
"Someone said to me that this door was once a madhouse." You said to her, wanting to make small talk.
"Well, it's made for me." Wanda made a joke, and you chuckled.
"A beautiful and intelligent woman like you in a madhouse? I find it hard to believe."
"Beautiful people do have problems too." Wanda's face was getting flush.
"I know, I know." You said. "I just wanted to praise you because, well, you're definitely one of the most beautiful girls on the campus."
And there it was, Wanda's face all red and her shy smile on her lips. You felt your heart beating faster than usual at that moment.
"So do you?" You continued.
"Do what?"
"Have problems."
"Just champagne problems." She answered.
"Champagne problems?" You asked, with your furrowed eyebrows.
"Yes, nothing meaningful or worth mention," She explained. "when compared to the others issues around the world."
"Well, champagne or not, they're still problems."
She thought about your words for a moment, but didn't say anything. Wanda continued to devalue her own problems, claiming that her issues were insignificant and there were worse things in the world.
Wanda was very reserved in the beginning, it was usually you who started the conversations. It didn't take long for you to fall in love with her.
I mean, how could you not? She was gorgeous and caring. Wanda was kinder than the most people you had ever met. She was a dream girl, with her hair loose and long, her sweet smile and her funny laugh. The way she was always up to help someone in need, and how she tried to empathize with everyone.
Wanda was absolutely flawless.
You only asked her out on a date when you were sure she wouldn't reject you.
Now, seeing from afar, you could see how stupid you were. You should have waited, just kneeling after knowing for sure that she would say yes.
But that's the problem.
You had sure that Wanda would say yes with tears dropping from her eyes. Then, your song would have played, you would have kissed her and held her hand tight while dancing. Your friends would have cheered with joy, and Wanda would have hugged you with a radiant smile on her face.
You let out a breath of pain. You now lived with only wishes. Because she dropped your hand while dancing, instead of holding tight.
Just champagne problems, she would say, about this dramatic situation.
You had a black Chevy that Wanda loved, she enjoyed riding in your car, even if you never go anywhere special. And when the car stopped running and you decided that was time to buy a better one, Wanda didn't let you. Often you saw her on the passenger seat murmuring whatever song was playing on the radio.
Nevertheless, the Chevy wasn't going anywhere. Just like your relationship.
Feeling tired of sitting there in this hurt, you left the train and went to the nearest hotel that you could find, you didn't want to come back home anytime soon.
You lived in a small town, your failed marriage proposal was probably spreading in the mouth of people like a disease.
Your turn on your phone, there were many messages and missed calls from your friends, but no one of them matters to you. Except one.
There was one voicemail from Wanda. Just that. She didn't send you a dozen messages like your friends, just a voicemail.
You set down on the bed, before listening to her voice for the last time.
Hey, Y/N, it's me, Wanda. I think I owed you an apology for leaving you out there standing. I-I can't do this, I'm sorry.
Wanda's voice was trembling, it sounded like she was crying. Why was she crying? She left you, not the other way around.
You didn't know it was possible for your heart to break more, but it did. The sound of her painful voice would haunt you forever.
I really can't give you a reason, I guess I never was ready for commitment. Sometimes you just don't know the answer until someone gets on their knees and asks you, you know?
There was a long pause, so long that you thought the message was over. However, Wanda's voice filled the room again:
You deserve someone better than me, you always had. Someone who is not fucked up in the head like me, someone who will never hurt you like I did. You'll find a real thing out there, she will pick up the pieces of your broken heart and she will patch up your tapestry that I shredded. She will be so perfect that you will not remeber me, or all my champagne problems.
Your vision was blurred because of the tears that fall uncontrollably from your face.
Ours... your friends called, they all are worried about you, please contact them.
There was another long pause.
I lov...
Your heart started to race at the words she was about to say, but Wanda gave up halfway, as if realizing that the words were not true.
Goodbye, Y/N.
And that was it.
Four years of relationship saying goodbye in a voicemail of less than five minutes.
Your throat burned from holding on to crying for so long, you wanted to scream until your vocal cords burst.
You loved her more than anything, and she left as if it were nothing. As if your love meant nothing.
You took the picture of Wanda that was still on your wallet, and tore it into several pieces before throwing it in the trash.
Eventually, the sleep caught you while you were crying in the hotel bed, similar to a friendly hug in the midst of so much pain.
━━━━━━ ᗢ ━━━━━━
You heard that Wanda left town, without looking back, on the same day that she rejected your proposal.
Wanda's sweet perfume was still impregnate, along with your memories with her, in every room of the house that the two of you used to live. You didn't manage to stay there, it didn't take long for you to sell the house and buy an apartment in the city center.
You sold your black Chevy, there was no one around to stop you.
You also sold Wanda's things that she left behind, you didn't want anything to remind you of her. Because after the end of the day, you were still mad at Wanda. For leaving, for didn't give you a good reason, for making your waste four years of your life.
"She would've made such a lovely bride, what a shame she's fucked in the head." That was probably the last thing that someone spoke about Wanda, before another big gossip emerge in your town and they eventually forgot the humiliation that she put you through.
At first, you stayed in your new apartment with your heart broken, just watching futile reality shows and eating junk food. Steve, your best friend, was there all the time giving you emotional support, even though he didn't always know how to say the right thing.
But eventually you had to face reality, after all, you suffering or not, life still went on.
It took two years before you were ready to fall in love again. And two years since you had heard from Wanda, you didn't know about her even on social media, since she had deleted them all.
It was as if Wanda had simply disappeared, little by little, she became a myth in your life, a ghost that haunted you from time to time. Not even your friends and family mentioned her name.
Sometimes you wondered if she really existed, if you haven't invented her in your head.
It was in a bar outside the town, that you met Natasha Romanoff. She was self-confident and carried a death look in her eyes, rigid on the outside, but soft on the inside. She had short red hair and was not very fond of wearing jewellery.
Totally different from Wanda.
Natasha was fun to be around, it was easy to understand her because she was always honest with you.
You started to date her on the very first day of summer. Then, after spending all the four seasons together, you started to carry your mom's ring in your pocket and Natasha's picture in your wallet.
And when you got on your knees, she didn't leave you crestfallen on the dance floor. She said yes, and held your hand tight while dancing.
However, in the end, Wanda was wrong.
You still remeber all her champagne problems.

TL;DR
about last night's mperfect ending. After stops at three Louisville venues, each more fun than the last, we decided to get a nightcap in New Albany. We didn't manage to get a drink at any of four stops in that sleepy town but we did witness a police officer chasing a black man down the side of State Street. Still watching for a news report.
Alternately a night for Morgans
_____________________________________________________________
D's niece's husband, J, is a sweet guy. He has almost no family of his own living in the area and his own family unit consists of an unruly teen (not his) a precocious 6 year old and 3 year old twins. It's a lot.
With that in mind, I always wait for him to contact me and he always earns his kitchen passes so when he texted me he had a free night out I was glad to hang with him. I only asked if he had a curfew. No sir. He's nearing 40 and regularly admits he wishes he could more often frequent the places D and I do, meaning bars and restaurants. I remember those days when self came last.
Our 1st stop was World of Beer. With 50+ taps and hundreds of bottles and cans sitting in glass front coolers directly across from the bar, it's one of my go to spots. J immediately set about building a flight of five small pours while I took my time picking one or two low gravity beers to sip since I was driving. They had two bartenders on this Wednesday night, Morgan was ours and our service was prompt and friendly. By the time we finished a plate of tots, loaded with melted cheese and fresh jalapeno slices I had our plan.
I hadn't been to Commonwealth Tap since before 2020. This small wine bar is in a movie set sort of town called Norton Commons. Think "The Truman Show." The houses were all built over a small number of years and though they are comprised of many different styles, with no two near each other being the same, they are on the same size lots and there is no variety in terms of weathering or decoration. Everything to plan. Unreal. Creepy.
I glanced at the wine list on a chalkboard noticing a Turley Zin at $18 and a Cotes de Rhone at $8. When the bartender asked what I wanted, I said, "Talk me out of the Turley and into the Cotes. He hesitated for a second and I said, "I want something minerally, earthy, not fruity." Like a Beaujolais Morgon or an Italian grown on the side of a volcano. Before he could reply, a guy sitting at the bar said we don't have that on tap. The Cotes is your best option and the bartender handed me a generous taste saying, try that.
I took the glass all the while evaluating the man who'd spoken up. He'd said "we" don't have that. He was alone at the bar except for us. I doubted he was just a bold regular, maybe drunk, who felt everyone benefited from his opinion, he wasn't drunk. Then he stood up and walked over the the wine racks. His search was one of familiarity and he pulled a bottle and sat it down on the bar next to me. Was he an employee or maybe a distributor on good terms with the staff? Then he began talking about the wine, about his many trips to France, and I suddenly I knew. "You're an owner here aren't you?"
He laughed and admitted he was. He introduced himself, Neal Morgan and for the next 40 mins or so he told us about himself and the bar. He told us about his wife, a pediatrician who worked for 20 years in Indiana and he went so far as to describe his Scottish heritage along with his general thinking about wines. When he said he was going a friend's house for a pizza party, I thought he was about to leave. Then he said he was going to take a kick ass wine but first he wanted me to taste it. It was a California pinot noir priced at $30 more than the first bottle he'd put down on the bar. It was fantastic! He gave us tasting notes and I admitted I couldn't perceive half of what he reeled off. I said he spoke like a sommelier and he laughed again and said he claimed he had a better palate than Kenny, the sommelier who worked for him. He thanked us for coming in and seemed sincere. When he left, J looked at me and said, "That was amazing." I laughed and said it was a Wednesday at a bar.
Before we left, I asked Rainha to make me a Penicillin and we talked about Scotch. She related how she introduced her brother to Scotch and now that's all he drank. We talked about how things were during the shutdown and I told her about a new place I'd been the previous Saturday. Outside, J exclaimed this was just the best time! He said he'd never be able to talk staff like that, let alone the owner. I said talking to industry people was one of my favorite things. They are so interesting and I think they find it refreshing when someone at the bar wants to hear about them instead of wanting to talk about themselves. Then I said, I know where we'll go next. Maybe Stephen is working.
Our next stop was at Cuvee Wine Table and Stephen greeted me at the door with a huge "Shane!" and a hug. If J was impressed with Commonwealth, I thought he should fasten his seatbelt. Stephen is a trip. Except, Stephen exclaimed I'm on this side of the bar now! To my quizzical look, he said he was the manager now. Amidst introductions, our bartender, Andie came over and introduced herself. She was tall, regally thin, and wore a colorful scarf on her head. She offered an engaging personality I perceived as professional banter but sensed alos she seemed to enjoy her job.
When I described what kind of wine I preferred, she said, "OOh how about a white?" Ooookay??? I thought to myself, this is going to be fun. Stephen came back as Andy set my glass down in front of me and asked, "What are we having?" Andie said, it's the Santorini. Stephen, a newly minted sommelier, immediately launched into an enthusiastic description about this remarkable wine from a Greek Island. He said it was so constantly windy, they braided the vine boughs into bowls to protect the fruit on the inside. I smelled it and it reminded me of a Sav Blanc but when I tasted it, I knew I'd found a new favorite. It had a salty savory aspect with more minerality than any white I'd had previously.
Andie was from Lexington and our other bartender, Heather, was newly arrived from the Nashville area. Heather was training behind the bar but seemed tres calm. At one point she asked us to wish her luck and I realized she was going to take an order. When she came back, I was a little surprised but delighted when J asked her where she was from specifically. It turned out they were from the same area and knew the same high schools and such. Great fun. When Stephen came and asked if we were eating, I said, "What am I having?" The cassoulet he responded immediately and then he tried to add in sweet breads but I insisted I was out on that. J selected a flatbread and when my giant bowl of white beans with pork and a small chicken leg came, I felt I'd got the better order. He admitted sheepishly he just didn't like beans and that was that.
I suggested we finish with a French brandy served in proper snifters and asked for a bottle of the Santorini to go home. It was full dark but comfortably warm walking to the car and J asked if I were up for one more on him. I suggested we go see Emily at Brooklyn and the Butcher. She made me a perfect drink in January and I'd been craving another ever since.
All the way to New Albany, J kept bringing up how much he enjoyed the two wine bars and how he hoped he and his wife could indulge in similar experiences when their children were older. He worried his wife didn't really like anything but sweet wine and was picky about that. I laughed and said D was exactly the same but she was game to hang out and recently started to appreciate ciders and frutied beers, and even some semi-sweet wines.
There were still plenty of cars parked on the street when we arrived at Brooklyn and the Butcher. I noticed there was no one at the hostess stand when we walked in but I breezed past into the bar. There were two women sitting at the bar and I was a bit disappointed when I realized the bartender wasn't Emily. I was even more so when she came over and apologized but said they'd closed already. I laughed and made a joke about the owner being an old man for closing so early then I realized who it was sitting at the bar. I asked, "Is that Emily sitting at the bar?" she said it was and I got up and walked over. We talked for ten minutes about my last visit and I asked her about her trip to Savannah. She kept apologizing for the bar being closed but I assured her I would be back. It was fine, we'd walk down to The Earl.
I got a bad vibe the minute we walked in. The bar was mostly full and there was only one bartender. He was wearing short shorts and took forever to get us a drink menu then never looked our way for the next five minutes. I suggested we go to Recbar nearby. There it was the same. The lone bartender, woman this time, was overwhelmed and though the bar was half empty she never looked our way before I lost patience.
Okay then. We were driving to my final option (so I thought) when I stopped at a light. J said, "Look at that! A cop is chasing that guy!" Sure enough through the sparse traffic I could see a black guy sprinting along the side of the normally busy road. His arms were pistoning up and down, his hands flattened into chopping motions like a track sprinter. Coming behind but steadily losing ground was a hefty police officer. He looked ridiculous and I can only imagine he might be thinking everyone watching thought he looked ridiculous. I wondered if he might pull his gun.
The light turned green then and I moved forward. That's when we spotted a car with the front passenger side crushed in where it had impacted the guardrail, on the opposite side of the road. There was a cop car with its lights flashing parked behind it. I couldn't see any activity around the cars as we drove past. About a half mile up the road we pulled into the parking lot of our 4th attempt to get a last drink. It was closed.
We laughed and decided we'd had enough fun. As we headed back towards the scene of the incident, sirens and flashing lights were suddenly all around us. I guess there was a manhunt. I weaved through parked cruisers while J counted eight more with lights flashing on side streets . Fifteen minutes later I dropped him off. He thanked me profusely but it nothing but what I like to do anyway.
20 mins later I pulled into the garage and for a second my heart did the little flutter it always does when I see D's car parked in its spot. Then I sighed remembering she wasn't home and wouldn't be for another week.
Just a Wednesday.

Darkness {Bellamy Blake} Fanfic
Jasmine Kane, Marcus Kane's daughter was chosen to be a part of the 100. She was chosen to go to earth. Little did she know that the earth is not as perfect as she was taught all her life
" Let go off me" I said sending daggers at the king himself
He smirk and said " Make me princess"
In one second, he was send to the ground with a knife against his neck. He looked surprised and at the same time proud.
"Do not test me Blake" I murmured, our faces inches apart. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me even closer. Seconds later our lips were moving in sync.

Pilot {1X01}{part 1}
I was laying on the ground of my cell reading a book about the ground. My dad gave it to me on my 16th birthday, the day I got locked up. I stopped reading when I though about that day . It's been 1 year and 3 weeks that I have been locked up for something that was not my fault. My own father locked me up. I hate him for that. At the beginning, he came to visit me, but I ignored him. I couldn't even look at him or speak to him,so after some time, he stopped coming. Glad he did, because I was starting to loose my calm. I wanted to scream at him or punch him, but I was sure that he would float me even if I weren't 18 years old. Suddenly the door of my cell opened and I snapped my head seeing my father with 3 guards looking at me. Something wasn't right. My dad looked like he wanted to cry, the guard on his right was holding a wristband , the guard on his left was holding a syringe and the guard behind him was holding a gun. I stood on my feet quickly and took a step back, they were going to float me, but I don't understand I just turned 17 years old. My dad saw that I started to panic. He took a step forward and I took a step back. He held his hands up and told me "Relax, you're not getting floated" he smiled sadly. I decided to speak to him. "Yeah, well, what the hell is going on?" "My beautiful daughter you're going to the ground" My eyes widdened and I looked at him like he grew 2 heads, hell 5 heads not just 2. "Comme again? Hey, don't come any closer!" I yelled at the guard holding the syringe who started to come closer. My father held his arm up and grappled the guard. He comes to me and hugs me tightly. I didn't resist. I was in shock. I was going to earth. "I'm sorry, it was the only way. If you don't do this, you would be dead in 1 year. Stay alive. I don't want to loose you too like I lost your moth-" I pushed him away, glarring at him. He stopped talking and he did a sign to the guards to come to me. The guard holding the metallic bracelet came first and I tried to get past him, but the guard behind my father came and held me. I started screaming when I realised I couldn't do anything
'' Please dad do something, please! " I screamed looking at him. The guard with the syringe came beside me and injected something to my arm. All of sudden, I started to feel sleepy. I tried to fight sleep, but my eyes started to close, the last thing I heard was my father apologizing to me but it was too late.
~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~.. ~. ~
My eyes started to open and I looked around me. I saw the other prisoners are strapped in, just like me. I didn't recognize anyone, great. I looked beside me and I saw a beautiful girl, probably my age. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back awkwardly and she held her hand out for me to take. I took her hand and she started speaking "Hi my name's Octavia. What's yours?" I let go of her hand and before I could respond the ship jolted. Oh my..? What was that? Seconds later the video monitors around the cabin flashed to life with a pre-recorded message of chancellor Jaha. I didn't listen to the video, to stressed from the joltes of the ship. Octavia saw me and took my hand, giving it a squeeze. I really like this girl. Someone yelled "Your father's a dick Wells!" Everyone around me starts laughing, except from me. Wells was my best friend, beside Clarke. I really miss them. Wait... That means that Wells is here! I looked around me, but I didn't see him.
Then all of sudden the parachute deploys. I closed my eyes tightly, as the ship started shaking. After a few terrifying seconds the ship stopped shaking. I still hadn't opened my eyes.
"Listen. No machine hum." I opened one eye and I saw an Asian boy, beside him was a cute guy with goggles. Octavia giggled from beside me and said "Hey beautiful girl, you can open your other eye too." I opened both eyes and I playfully glared at her.
"The outer door's below" someone said as we got out off our seatbelts and went in the front.
"No! We can't just open the door!"
A familiar voice said and I gasped. Clarke is here, my best friend is here.
I saw passengers already gathering at the outer door. I saw a handsome guy who looked kind of older than all of us and I got confused. He was wearing a guard's uniform and that made him less attractive.
" The air could be toxic" Clarke continues.
"If the air's toxic. We will die anyway" the handsome guy said.
Clarke was about to say something when Octavia, who was still beside me froze as she saw the guy
"Bellamy?" So, his name is Bellamy. Beautiful name. Bellamy turned around slowly and I saw his face softened. She jumped down and rushes towards him. She hugged him tightly.
"Look how big you are!" Bellamy said looking at her with a proud smile.
"What are you doing here?" She asked him.
"Someone had to keep an eye on you" he replied.
Suddenly Clarke asked looking Bellamy and interrupting the beautiful moment.
"Where's your wristband?"
Octavia turned to glare at Clarke.
"You mind. I haven't seen my brother in three years." What brother, nobody has a brother or sister. I heard various voices talking
"Nobody has a brother" Good point
"that's Octavia Blake, the girl they found hidden in the floor" Ohh, yeah I know that story.
Octavia wasn't happy, she lunged at the person who said that, but her brother held her back.
"No Octavia, don't do that. Let's give them something else to remember you by." he said
"Like what?" she asked sarcastically
"Like being the first person on the ground in a hundred years" Bellamy said with a smile.
"I'm pretty sure is 97 years" I said before thinking. Everyone turned to look at me. I saw the older Blake look back at me and we held our eye contact. I was the first one to look away them I heard Clarke saying my name and I looked at her instead.
"Ah yeah, well in 97 years." With that he finally throws the lever.
Daylight streams in. Trees everywhere, a breeze. I gazed out in awe.
Octavia hesitates, but just for a moment. She steps out, looking around in
wide-eyed amazement. She thrusts her arms out and yells
" We're back bitches!"
Everyone started to run outside. I waited to go outside. I caught Bellamy Blake looking at me, before he follows his sister. After that I set foot on the ground and took a big breath. Real air. This is the ground. Seconds later I felt a body slamming into mine and someone hugged me tigltly. I looked and I saw Clarke. I hugged back as tight as her. "Clarke!" I yelled excited.
"I missed you so much" she said and we pulled back. "I miss you too" I smiled and we hugged again. She pulled away and took my hand.
I know her, something is wrong.
"Clarke what's going on?" I asked her confused. She turned and held out a map.
"I think that we're on the wrong mountain" I shook my head.
Suddenly a guy I didn't know come up to us.
"Why so serious princess?" he asked Clarke with a smirk, then he noticed me.
"Oh hello, name's Finn and yours gorgeous?" he asked me. I smirked at him and said. "Hello Finn, nice to meet you. I'm Jasmine Kane" Finn smiled back and turned to Clarke
"It's not like we died in a fiery explosion" he joked and Clarke looked at him before looking back at the map
" Tell that to the two boys who followed you out of their seats" Finn looked down, I guess he was sad.
"Jasmine, you see that peak over there?" The blonde asked me. She pointed in front of us and I nodded
"Yes, what about it?"
"Mount Weather. There's a radiation soaked forest between us and our next meal."
"Anddd?" Finn asked. I looked at him and said. " They really dropped us on the wrong goddamn mountain. We're screwed."
"Hey beautiful." Someone said from behind me, but I didn't turn around. This someone laughed and put their hand on my shoulder and made me turn around. I saw Octavia.
I smiled at her "Hey Octavia, what's up?" She laughed " I just realized that I don't know your name" oh she's right. I couldn't say my name, because the ship started shaking and I was scared for my life. "I'm Jasmine Kane" Octavia's smile dropped. "I'm nothing like my father " I reassured her quickly.
She smiled again and took my hand, leading me somewhere. We stopped behind a group of guys. The guys turned when they heard steps. I only knew one. Bellamy Blake and he looked at me. A guy beside him smirked at me and moved forward.
"Wow look who's here. Jasmine Hot Kane" I didn't know this guy but sure as hell didn't like him. I crossed my arms and said.
"I didn't know that I had a middle name" his smirk became bigger and he started talking when Bellamy interrupted him, not taking his eyes from me "Murphy, leave her alone. She's a princess after all" Jackass, he smirked. Before I could respond I saw Murphy walking past me and pushing Wells away. Wells! " Hey! Hands off! He's with us." I looked at the guy with goggles and he looked confused. I quickly went beside Wells. Ready to defend him.
"Well he looks confused. I don't really think that he's with you Murphy." I said trying to puss his buttons and it worked. He began to take a step at me, but Wells pushed me behind him and said. "Relax, we're just trying to figure out where we are."
"We're on the ground. That's not good enough for you?" Bellamy asked sarcastically. I start to not like this guy, even if he's cute.
"We need to find Mount Weather. You heard my father's message. That has to be our first priority" Wells said to the gathering crowd.
"Screw your father! You think your in charge? You and your little princess?" Octavia asked looking between him and Clarke
"Octavia, we don't care who's in charge. We need to find Mount Weather. Not because the Chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get, the harder it'll be." I said with a sigh, Clarke nodded her head and continued
"How long do you think we'll last out here without those supplies? We're looking at a 20 mile trek. If we wanna make it before dark, we need to leave... now."
"I got a better idea... You two go. Find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change." Bellamy said. That's weird, I'm privileged too. Why didn't he name me? A cheer goes up and I can say that Bellamy is surprised at first by it, but likes the feeling. Clarke regards him warily. Wells plows ahead...
" You're not listening. We all need to go."
Just then, Murphy shoved Wells in in the back.
"Look, everybody. It's the Chancellor of Earth." The crowed laughed at this . Wells stepped forward.
