I have joined the society of bluetooth earphones
#refurbished for the record#i have been dragged kicking and screaming into the future#my phone doesn't have a headphone jack. my mp3 player does but it also has bluetooth capability. my ereader only has bluetooth for audio#so I figure since I'm going on the eclipse trip in a few months I should get some wireless buds for the train#went with some used skullcandy sesh because they were like twenty-two dollars had had a twenty hour battery life#I ALMOST went with some used Hesh headphones that looked really cool and had fifteen hours but were also forty-nine dollars#which combined with the other things I needed to buy would have put me thirteen dollars over my seventy-five dollar walmart giftcard#I was very tempted if just for the aesthetique~ but realized if I bought the cheaper earbuds I could have enough money for some instax film#and the cheaper earbuds and 2 pack of film plus the household objects I needed put me at a tidy seventy-four dollars and fifty-six cents#so I didn't have to spend any actual money on anything woot woot#the earbuds are blue. which is my favorite color. but they're like a pastel blue. which is like my least favorite shade of blue#ah well I'll sacrifice looks for function and affordability any day#*stares in slight dismay at hideously pink refurbished and thirty dollar instax mini 9*#what I REALLY wanted was some of those urbanista solar-powered headphones/earbuds#but even used/refurbished both were out of the total price range of the gift card(s)#I actually had two giftcards which together totaled seventy-five so that was pretty sweet

Any recommendations on good Polaroid cameras? i have an instax mini 9 and its pretty shit IMO, the colours bearly show, im not sure if thats because im doing something wrong though? but i saw you said you dislike instax cameras so im curious if you could suggest any better ones! (luckily i got it for free and it works, just feel like im doing something wrong with it)
I HATE INSTAX CAMERAS!!!!!! you’re totally right with the weird faded colors, it’s an issue i’ve noticed frequently with instax film! i don’t think you’re doing anything wrong, but rather that it’s just an issue with the brand.
In terms of other instant film camera recommendations, I have a couple!
1.) Polaroid Onestep SX-70
An instant classic!! I have one of these cameras, and it’s 100% my favorite of my collection. Polaroid still produces film for these, and so they’re not too much of a hassle to find film- which is an issue with most other old instant film cameras. (cough cough, kodak colorburst. don’t buy those)
if you find one with a flash bar, you’re golden! but even if you don’t have a flashbar (like me!) you can still take gorgeous photos outside ^^!! i wish i knew where my photo album was right now. my rooms a mess post graduating, so i can’t find it :’D!! but basically, 10/10. could only be better if the polaroid film quality was as good as it was in the 80s haha
2. Kodak instant-printer camera
this camera works similarly to a digital camera, allowing you to review your photo before you print , so you never have to waste any of your film! i’ve had this one for a few years, and it’s a lot of fun. my model actually prints like a printer, and moves in and out of the camera to print the ink colors one at a time before it pops out. it’s kind of entertaining i can’t lie…
one of their models even utilized the classic square film we all know and love! 9/10, simply because i have a hard time finding film even if it’s still being produced.
3. Polaroid Now i-type
god i want one of these so bad it’s not even funny. although on the pricier side, these cameras take old polaroid technology, using the same film cartridges as the Polaroid-600, and have a built in flash as well as a modern build that will (hopefully) work for years n years to come. I haven’t gotten to try one yet, but it looks promising from what i’ve seen!

March 11, 2023 – EG peeps like to organise activities for us to do outside of work, so we decided to go for a hike! As a person who is not physically fit—I haven’t done any exercise even before the pandemic started—imagine the struggle I went through. Well, most of us did struggle, even though Mt. Balagbag is a beginner-friendly mountain.
The base of the mountain was so steep that we all had a hard time. One of us almost gave up continuing the hike, but she pushed through. The trail was easy, they say, and visible. But it could also be scorching hot since there were few trees to provide shade; mostly, it was just grassy and rocky slopes. We began the hike at 5 am and reached the peak around a quarter to 9 am because we spent some time at the campsite. We rested, watched the sunrise, and took numerous photos before heading to the summit. And yes, we all reached the peak, and I was incredibly proud of us.
By the way, I think I injured my right knee while descending the mountain due to putting excessive pressure on my knees on our way back down to the starting point. Oh, to be old and brittle! Charcharaught.
Anyhoo, it was wonderful to be able to go mountain hiking again. The view at the top was such a great reward after enduring all the pain and struggles. Really grateful for my EG tribe.
P.S. One can even take a 4×4 pickup truck, motorcycle, or mountain bike all the way up to the summit.

So I had a fifty dollar Walmart giftcard. I want an Instax camera, but even the cheapest Mini 9 was over fifty.
But then I found one on their site that was refurbished and twenty-nine ninety-five. So I was like hell yeah (even if it was a horrendous shade of pink)
And then they were having a sale on mini film, twenty photos for thirteen ninety-nine. So I was like hell yeah
Then I found an accessory bundle, with a carrying case (in a much nicer-looking galaxy print), flash color filters, a selfie lense extension, a photo album, stickers, frames, for nine ninety-five. Hell yeah.
Then I go to checkout and see I have an old giftcard that still has seven eleven on it. Hell yeah
And then
And then
I see the total. Between free shipping since it's over thirty-five dollars, then taxes at three twenty-five, the total is
Fifty-seven dollars and eleven cents

so you made it! YAY!!!
but why?
are you bored of digital photography or are you here because we are related to somewhat in real life? if you are here for the first or second reason then Welcome! again...
So What is Digital_film.only?
it all started with my interest for film back in 2019 when I came across a youtuber named Willem Verbeeck. He is a photographer based in the US of A. Well, from then on I just fell in love with film because in today's fast moving world, we see over 100's of pictures every millisecond on Instagram, Facebook, snapchat etcetera etcetera but did we ever stop and appreciate one image other than a good looking feed on Instagram or a non "aesthetic" picture. Yeah I don't think so *insert sas face* My whole plan with this project is to take my time while clicking images of landscapes, people, and then trying to develop them or make physical copies of them but.... if you pay attention to detail, digital never really looked good while printed(or my camera just sucks lol) but film stayed for years and years and didn't degrade over time(well not that fast). recently I have purchased a Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Polaroid camera which helps me achieve this way of photography. lately I take my time with clicking pictures and don't want to rush with the Polaroid because, (1) it is expensive(500rs for 10 shots of a Polaroid pack) and (2) they get imprinted directly so there's no room for errors but if you have this mindset then you don't tend to shoot much film which I'll talk about in another day so to wrap things up, thank you for checking out my blog and hope you stay for the journey cause it's gonna fuN!!
