How little stuff there is about Marissa Meyer books saddens me, I have no one to geek to about them. Then there's the other part of me that wants to gatekeep them.

Theory that involves all of MM books

Ok, so hear me out. If you have read all of Marissa´s books this might interest you, Be careful this contains SPOILERS of most of her books, so don't read if you haven't read them first.

After that warning, lest start. So after the ending of Cursed, we learned that Serilda was telling the story, right? And if you have read that one ending in Cinder's get me to the wedding adventure, you will know Serilda was the one telling the story to the children, considering this, what if all of Marissa's books were stories that once Serilda said to the people without knowing they, one day in the future, will become true. Think about it. It does make sense, doesn't it? Like, Gilded is a book that is told hundreds of years ago, after that there will come Heartless, Instant Karma, The Renegades Trilogy, and finally TLC.

This would be a way to connect all of her books, maybe the only way.

What do you think? Am I going mad or it makes sense? We should try to make it a headcanon at least for the fandom?

so i got to go to marissa meyer's tour a few days ago and wanted to pass along some news she shared

- there are three new fairytale retellings in the works, likely taking place in the gilded universe.

- someone asked about nova and magpie, and she said something was in the works (!!!)

- the instant karma movie got cancelled

- however, she sounded very certain the lunar choronicles movie was going to happen (!!!!!!) and said a script was done and while she was in la she was going to look at character designs and possible backgrounds !!!!!!!

it was really amazing to meet her and tell her how much her work means to me, and i got my copy of cinder signed :))))

I know Marissa Meyer is mostly known for Lunar Chronicles but like… her other books are so good! Her Gilded duology and stand-alone Heartless broke me emotionally they were so good, and my friend loves Instant Karma and just. that woman is so talented she needs to be talked about more I think

according to my mom who went to mm's event tonight for with a little luck there is a script for tlc, and it is being considered with an animation studio! nothing is happening for sure but it has not been given up.

also, the plan is for there to be 4 instant karma-verse books, since there were 4 beatles.

Really, really hoping Marissa Meyer eventually gives us an LGBTQ+ book bc of some of the background characters in the Gilded duology are giving me hope. Like, I’ve been a fan of her since I was 11 and to see her, someone who’s shaped my love of reading and characters and sci fi and media in general write a story that makes me feel represented...it would be ground breaking. Also, I love the way she writes (most) of her romances and to see that done with a wlw relationship for example would make me fucking sob. Marissa if you’re reading this...please.

There are SO MANY reasons I love Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer so now you get to know some of them:

Enemies to lovers. Even better, when she does fall for him, the girl is all "really?? Him??" at herself and it's hilarious

It's so snarky and funny

At first the characters seem kinda obnoxious but they have some excellent growth and development!!

OK, so with Cursed coming out tomorrow what did everyone think of Gilded? I’ve not read it yet as I tend to harvest Marissa Meyer books for the right moment lol BUT in comparison to her other work where does it stand? I’ve read all of her books. No spoilers please!
