okay okay uhhhh ramble? time
basically when i was a teenager my favorite tv shows ever was the netflix inspector gadget series. if i'd grown up with the og series i probably would've hated it, but i really loved it.
anyways the main reason I watched the show was because the show started by introducing us to penny, inspector gadget's niece, who in the first episode falls for a hq new agent, talon, until she finds out by the end of that episode that he's actually working for the evil organization (mad) and is the nephew of her uncle's arch nemesis, dr. claw.
the series then has a running b plot of penny and talon trying to pretend they don't still secretly like each other, and their rivalry and tension were the lynchpin of my mental health as a teenager.
anyways, there was one episode where penny got stuck in a time loop, and she spent most of the loops trying to come up with really clever comebacks to use on talon, until he revealed that he was in on the time loop too, and started changing things each time to mess with her.

So there's a few episodes in the 2015 reboot that mentions Gadget was apparently a singer at one point in his life and I find it both hilarious and horrifying at what they decided to do with it. Like I'm sorry I just cannot see Gadget looking like this in the 60s/70s, AT ALL. 馃槶
And of course they had to give him an awful singing voice for "comedy" purposes... *sigh*
