They've gotten so big now ;-;

She is being guarding by some siblings for some reason. She's fine, just sittin'.

And now, what I'm sure you're all waiting for-

Morgoth the Destroyer cannot be contained by human means! She roams free!

She follows her mother to the food bag so she gets to eat by herself >v>

My sister said a day or so ago that she pulled up to the house and Morgy had already escaped the pen and come running towards her. Very cute and sweet, but like, girl. There are foxes out here. Please be careful.

Morgy was briefly put in chicken jail to prevent her from escaping the pen, but my sister didn't have the strength to keep her in there because she just looked so sad :C

She wants to be close to mother and the house! Here she is in the garden and being held <3

My sister plans to get her a small coop to keep in the garden and have her and a sister or two in there, closer to the house so she doesn't try to run off.

Morgy is truly the sweetest lil chimkin ever and we all love her <3

I visited the other day and was allowed the honor of petting her. Before Nugget came over and tried to eat my fingers, that is. Goddammit, Nugget.

More chickens! These are the first clutch (my sister says they're Easter Eggers, or mixed breed/mutt chickens), and they're big enough now that they get their own box (they kept stepping on the babies). Most of them aren't named, but among the named ones are our queen bee Hennifer (pictured in the first image staring directly at the camera), Peanut is right next to Hennifer (the brown one with the dark spot on her forehead), Grub is second black one up from the bottom and they're marginally more grey than their fellows, and Cinnamon is at the bottom with her head in the feeder (and also the main star of the second photo!)

The yellow/white chicks are harder to tell apart so most of them don't have names yet.

Here's a slightly better shot of Hennifer; she's the mottled one. Also I feel like it should be noted that none of the chickens have been sexed yet and some of them might actually be roosters, but until proven otherwise, most of them are either she/her or they/them.

Also you can see Bird (yes, that's her name; my 3yo nephew named her) in this pic, she's the pale one with the three black spots on the top of her head. I think the pale one at the bottom is Spots, who has a collection of spots on her butt.

This one only has two black spots on their head (as opposed to Bird's three) so we've been calling them "False Bird". They and Worm (one of the black birbs I don't have a good close up of) are escape artists.

This scrunkly little crow chicken is Indominus Rex, who's just inexplicably way more dinosaur-looking than all her siblings. She's got a patch of down missing from her right shoulder which has just never grown in.

She's the runt of litter, so to speak, and we all love her. Gremlin creature.

I'm gonna make another post for the babies because I have a lot of pictures and tumblr isn't gonna let me put them all in one post.

Chimkin update! :D

Sweet baby Morgoth the Destroyer sitting with her mother <3 She'll come running when my sister goes out to the coop >v>

Snowflake and Pretty Boy on patrol around the coop, being such responsible and protective roosters.

Jeff is filthy from digging and a sibling looks on in alarm.

A new named fledgling! This is Olive; she's friends with Morgy and has started to follow my sister around like Morgy does :D She's still not quite as comfortable being held or petted like Morgoth is, though.

Morgy demands pets and attention.

Morgy and Olive together; Morgy's a bit smaller due to her scissor-beak making it more difficult for her to eat, but she's still growing well :3

Cinnamon is still putting herself in charge of watching the fledglings.

Hennifer the maybe-hen/maybe-rooster being utterly massive. The ultimate unit.

Bean, the blessed child, always giving such sass.

Grub is also a chonk.

You've heard of worm-on-a-string, get ready for Worm on a swing. :)

They tend to roost in pairs: Grub and Worm, Jeff and Bird, Snowflake and Pretty Boy. And then another friend that I can't see well enough to name lol

A stand off between I believe Peanut and Walnut.

Grub has found a crevice to crawl into.

Indominus Rex is finally starting to look like a proper chicken and not a crow! She's very beautiful uwu

Yes, I have been given permission to name more chickens after transformers. The lavender girls are very majestic and beautiful, and I thought naming them after the Senator boys, Dai Atlas and Shockwave, was fitting >v>
