[fanfic] Lure of Hatred
His counterparts annoyed him.  Standard was too perky for his own good.  Synchro screamed a lot and could be easily distracted by shiny objects.  XYZ gloomed around all the time, pouting because his precious city was now no more than ruins.  Yuuri wasn't much interested in any of them.  He'd been told to get those girls and the mission came first.
At least it did until he saw that guy.  Brother to the first girl he'd taken, friend to his XYZ counterpart.   Tall, with the fierce eyes of a raptor, fury dripping off every part of himself.
If he hadn’t been so angry all the time, Yuuri wouldn't have cared.  But anger, rage, hatred,  all of those drew Yuuri like a moth to the flame.
He made up his mind.  He'd never had a plaything before,  but he wanted one.  As long as he captured the girls, the Professor didn't care what else he did.   So he would take what he wanted and make what he wanted out of this Kurosaki Shun.  The more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea, and the more he wanted to see the look on his XYZ other’s face at what he would do to Kurosaki.
It would absolutely be worth all the effort it would no doubt take to break him. But ideas flittered through Yuuri’s head at everything he could do to make it happen. Bit by bit he made his plans. He would do it after he’d taken the Synchro girl. The Professor hadn’t yet located the Standard girl, so until he did that, time remained available.
Setting the trap wasn’t hard at all. Yuuri simply found a suitable Fusion soldier, told him to run in a certain direction to attract XYZ attention, then waited.
He didn’t have to wait long. He heard the distinctive sound of someone being carded, and strolled in that direction. When he peered around a pile of rubble, he could see Kurosaki Shun pick up the card that had been the soldier and brutally tear it down the middle, tossing the pieces aside.
“Oh, I do think we’re going to get along very well,” Yuuri cooed, sauntering out to where the other could see him. Kurosaki stared, hand going to his Duel Disk. Yuuri shook his head. “No time for pleasantries right now. I’d rather my annoying face-twin didn’t interrupt us. Do allow me to introduce myself. My name is Yuuri – and you are mine.”
Kurosaki didn’t understand a word. But that was all right. He didn’t need to. Yuuri tossed a small sphere at his feet, which shattered, releasing a small cloud of nerve gas. Kurosaki tried to back up, but the gas took effect very quickly. He toppled face-first into the mud, eyes wide and shocked.
Yuuri came closer, cautious of the gas even as it dissipated on the wind. Once he was certain it could do him no harm, he turned Kurosaki over with one foot, smiling down at him. His new plaything wouldn’t be able to move for hours. Yuuri could do anything he wanted – and would.
But first – he’d spoken the truth. He didn’t ant his counterpart to find them here.
“Don’t worry,” he cooed, “I won’t hurt you unless you refuse to behave. Which I think you will.” He’d observed Kurosaki for days. He knew exactly how strong the other’s will was, which made his desire to shatter that will even stronger.
Kurosaki couldn’t reply with his voice but the glare in those raptor’s eyes made his opinion on that clear. Yuuri chuckled as he scooped the other up into his arms.
I should have called Dennis for this. There was a definite height difference, but he could work with this.
“Say good-bye,” he trilled. “You’re never going to see this world again.”
A shiver ran all through Kurosaki, one Yuuri could feel, and he suspected that it would have been him thrashing in rage if he could have. But Yuuri got his duel disk in range and sent them both back to Fusion in the space of a heartbeat.
There were other people going on various errands when he appeared there. Two soldiers of Obelisk Force immediately walked up to him.
“Do you require any assistance, Yuuri-sama?” The more senior one asked. Yuuri regarded them for a heartbeat, then nodded.
“Take him and follow me,” he ordered. The soldiers obeyed at once, the taller one scooping Kurosaki out of Yuuri’s arms. Yuuri dusted himself off and headed for his own quarters.
He’d get around to telling the Professor what he’d done after he had Kurosaki all properly taken care of. He knew how Akaba Leo thought and knew to assure him that this wouldn’t cause him to hesitate or shirk in any of his duties. He only had one more girl to catch, after all. It wouldn’t be that difficult.
Before he’d gone off on this mission, he’d set up exactly what he needed to take proper care of his new possession. He looked forward to seeing how Kurosaki reacted.
He probably expects me to card him. Not when he had far more interesting ways to deal with a very rebellion captive. He already had fascinating ideas on what he could do to bring Kurosaki to heel.
They entered his chambers, and Yuuri gestured at once to a corner of the room. There was a bed – an actual bed, not the sort of narrow cot that the so-called Resistance used – complete with a plush mattress, soft pillows, and warm blankets.
“Leave him there, then leave,” Yuuri ordered. The soldiers obeyed, dumping Kurosaki unceremoniously on the bed before saluting and departing at once. As the door sealed behind them, Yuuri moved over to reveal his other preparations.
In a heartbeat, he slipped the Duel Disk off of Kurosaki’s arm, then snapped a steel collar around his neck, tugging on the chain that attached it to the wall, making sure Kurosaki saw it. He then strapped leather cuffs around Kurosaki’s wrists, checking that the chain that connected them wouldn’t give easily. He did the same for his captive’s ankles, before finally stepping back to admire his handiwork.
“Those will keep you from running off once the gas wears off,” he told Kurosaki. “At least until you’ve learned that you’re not leaving here without my permission. It’s to your benefit to learn to obey me as quick as you can. You will kneel before me. I would prefer it be without hurting you excessively.” Yuuri smiled. “Of course, my definition of excessively and yours might not be the same thing.”
He tilted Kurosaki’s head so their eyes met. “I will use every means available to me to teach you obedience. Everything you require you will only gain if I choose for you to have it. Food – water – housing – you have none of it and I have it all and if you want any of it, you will do as I tell you.” His smile never wavered and he could see the rage that built up in Kurosaki’s eyes. Now was the time to tell him something else.
“I wouldn’t attempt an escape if I were you. Not only do you not have anywhere to go -” He touched the Duel Disk he’d removed from his captive, “or any way to get there, but we have something that you want and if you want to see that sister of yours, I extort you to be very very good and obedient.”
The rage in the other’s raptor’s eyes shattered, replaced by something even more intense. Hatred? Impotent fuming? Yuuri wasn’t sure what to call it, only that it was there, and he liked the sight of it. He reached over to pick up his PDA and began to type.
“Now, I’m sure that you’re more than ready for a good meal. I’ll arrange for a bath after the gas wears off. I assume I don’t have to teach you how to use soap? You are aware of the existence of hot water?”
There was the hate again, stronger than before. Exactly what Yuuri expected. But he ordered one of his favorite meals for himself and a good hot soup for Kurosaki, something to help get him healthier and stronger. With what Yuuri had in mind for him, the healthier he would need to be.
Once finished ordering, Yuuri sorted through Kurosaki’s deck. He wasn’t averse to allowing him to duel eventually. Under very strict circumstances and only when Kurosaki earned the right to such a treat – which he wouldn’t do for a very long time. But he also wanted to see the appeal of this deck, and figure out more ways to counter it.
He’d heard little squeaks from Kurosaki all this time, but paid little attention to them. Only a few weak words would be possible until it cleared. But unless those words were “Master”, Yuuri wasn’t interested.
It wouldn’t be long until he heard that. Not long at all.
Notes: This was meant to be a drabble. Apparently they wanted to play for longer than that. The 9 words I randomly generated were kneel, introduce, benefit, extort, available, hesitate, soft, mud, and housing.
