Legend lowered the magic rod. His hair stood in every direction, barely flattened by his hat. One eyebrow was singed.
"Woah," Wind breathed, peeking out from behind a rock. Sky still held the back of his shirt.
Legend took a wobbly step backwards and shook his hand with a hiss.
“Are you okay?” Sky asked.
Legend flashed him a grin. “I’m fine. No harm done.”
“Except to them,” Wind said.
Sky glanced at the carnage, then rolled his eyes. “Was punching the ‘blin really necessary?”
Legend shrugged. Sky glanced at Wind, back and Legend, then narrowed his eyes, but he couldn’t hold back a smile.
He was showing off, Sky realized. Judging by the way Wind was staring at him in awe, it worked.
“That… was so cool!!!” Wind exclaimed. Sky released his hold on Wind’s shirt and Wjnd rushed forward to bounce excitedly in front of Legend.
“Where’d you learn how to do that? I want to try!” Wind said.
“The rod won’t work for you, Sailor, you don’t have enough innate magic,” Legend explained. Wind was not deterred.
“What about the punch? Who taught you to do that? Can you teach me?” Wind asked.
Legend smirked. “A kangaroo taught it to me.”
“… What’s a kangaroo?”
