hey! How are you? I have come (yet again) with more httyd urban fantasy questions :D

First question! Is dagur gonna be included in this au? Do you have anything planned for him (or maybe even Heather? I love their chaotic sibling drama)

I also think your idea of making the Dragon Queen the leader of an underground dragon fighting ring (if i read that correctly) is AWESOME and very freaking cool actually. Is there anything you can share about that arc? 👀

Also, does everyone in the gang pick a part time job? Feeding dragons is EXPENSIVE, and those guys eat a LOT. (This is all just to ask if the twins work in a McDonald's or something. Can you imagine the absolute chaos. Ruff casually taking orders at the drive-thru while Tuffnut is trying to put out the fire. The embodiment of "911 do you take reservations" video)

hi!!! im good. well ... i have a math test today so it could be better but i get to chill out in the morning so thats fun . could be worse

first answer!!! i honestly havent thought of anything beyond the realms of httyd1. the first idea that comes to my head is that they would probably both be villains, but dagur would be keeping some secret about what they "actually" do from heather (maybe because he thinks hes protecting her) and she would find out and want to leave the hunting industry, maybe something to do with windshear.

OK so while the hunting industry is an established trade without legal repercussions (beyond some dragons having protections for economic reasons), the Red Death fighting ring isn't explicitly run by the government. it could be considered illegal (because they often steal dragons legally shot down by the government, like toothless, and put them in the ring), but operates under enough legal loopholes to be known locally and keep running. its located literally underground, and all of their bases are underneath entirely legit buildings, so its tricky to shut down what they're doing without hurting innocent people. the only issue i have thinking about it is that for this arc to work i do want to make the actual red death dragon a human, but i struggle to create a scenario afterwards with other villains (like dagur or viggo) that would raise the stakes enough, considering i want to follow httyd1's plot and have hiccup lose a leg to the red death.

its funny u say that abt jobs!!! i was actually thinking of this while making outfit designs last night, lol. astrid works seasonally at a skiing place and does soccer and dragon racing (though the latter isnt working out too well for her beforehand, and she stops wanting to do it after getting involved in the gang, but feels like she has to keep it up to avoid suspicion), and does online classes at universities abroad. her parents are pretty well-off and she has free reign of a debit card, so she's really useful for buying whatever supplies as long as it can be explained (like she did for the soccer gear they wear). but all the other stuff actually makes her the least available for vigilante bullshit, which shes kind of angry about, because she wants to blow stuff up with hiccup!!!!.

i like the idea of the twins working fast food, thats rlly funny, ajhjkd. though i think ruffnut would be the only one who has a job at the start of the story, and tuffnut would only get one after they have to take care of barf + belch (because he has issues with restraining environments).

i like to think fishlegs also works part-time at a post office. he actually enjoys being there and is really fascinated by stamps, how different codes work, etc and he says it helps him with stress, which flies over everyone else's head

I keep having a lot of thoughts about my BNHA Galactic AU so here is a random info dump of this AU that's been around my head like a screensaver!

Please note when I say you I mean Midoriya, and everyone in this canon is an adult.

Celestials

Uraraka Ochacco: She is a Celestial that you see talking to a superior officer. They are arguing about Galactic Politics, and she stalks off past you in a huff. Later you find out that her name is Gravity and she is critical of humans wanting to enlist the Celestials help as in her words "They don't even care about their own citizens, why would they give a damn about yours". You learn she was lured into the guard because it helped her out of poverty and promised her fame and glory. After your first storyline on the Celestial planet she joins your crew wanting to escape the red tape in the Celestial Guard. She is a Stellar Celestial, which means she gets her energy from the stars, and her colors are bronze and pink. If you don't lock in a romance her, she later dates Asui & Toga.

Mirio Togata: A Solar Celestial that is excited to see a real human for the first time in his life! When you meet him he is up to be a part of the Zodiacs, an elite group of the Celestial Guard that is basically a propaganda machine trapped by the expectations of the Celestial Guard to be their golden boy. His colors are gold and red.

Aquatic Planet First Storyline:

This is a plotline that you would go to fairly early on in the story. You arrive there to track down the unnamed League, and in order to have your activities remain unchecked you have a meeting with the leader of the planet Captain Selkie.

The meeting goes south with Captain Selkie apologizing profusely for being unable to accommodate for this. The kingdom is unable to spare any resources as they are fighting an underground business. You can offer your help, and if you do he'll deny the help due to the details being classified.

Leaving the meeting room, you are interrupted by First Mate Angler (Sirius) who advises that the Captain might change his time if you can make a good impression on some of his elite crew. She directs you to the hospital where Surgeon Green Dart (Asui) would reside and the officer barracks where Marine Basilisk (Tokage) would reside.

You are free to explore the city at this point, and there is a club that of you go to the very back of there is an octopus looking alien there blocking a door. He won't let you through saying only the owner of the club is allowed to pass.

I don't know what these quests would entail, but you do them in any order but you must complete both to continue the main storyline. Also in both quests you will run across the rumors of a six armed man who does more damage with his fists than with a gun.

Once both are completed, there is a cutscenes where you walk in on Captain Selkie being convinced by Angler, Green Dart, and Bakilisk to let you help them with the illegal underground issue. He relents and tells you about the issues with a smuggling ring that is smuggling in invasive poisons that are a threat to his people. Whole frog people like Green Dart are immune, the rest are falling I'll by the second and he is unsure of the motives of this crime boss.

Green Dart and Bakilisk to join your party instead of your regular two companions! Basilisk is more acrobatic and leans more on a monkish and rogue fighting style. Green Dart fights with gas and poisonous weapons alongside range ones.

You ask around the place to start your investigation and it eventually leads you to the back room from before. To get there you must fight through an onslaught of enemies until you bust through the door. Upon there you see the guard who is usually stationed in front of the door standing there in front of several creates.

Upon the cutscene you learn his name is Kraken (Shouji) and he works for the crime boss you are trying to take down. He says he can't let you, and it goes into a boss battle. Once you reduce his health, he isn't dead yet and you can interrogate him for answers and I'm the end have a choice to let him go or arrest him.

Regardless of your answer, you must rush to the docks where the crime boss is about to leave. It is a timed mission and there is always someone shooting at you yet you can never see any enemies when you look. It is meant to be a distraction to fuck you over and if you run out of time the crime boss has left. If you make it in time you can arrest Orca (Gang Orca) just as Captain Selkie arrives.

Captain Selkie thanks you for your service, Orca and (depending on your choice) Kraken are taken into custody where they'll help create the antidote. Angler helps you continue to track down the League, and Green Dart joins your crew!

Aquatic Planet Other Storylines:

I don't have many ideas for this so far but essentially I was thinking that one would surround the Aquatic Planet's rivalry with an entire land planet that would feature Ojiro, Hound Dog, and more. There it would be revealed that the shots being sent from nowhere were actually from Mercenary Hagakure! Then the third storyline is you get an invitation to Orca and Captain Selkie's wedding which causes the crime family and the crew family to clash.

Durable Skin Planet + Plotline

This also has just a little bit of ideas but the idea is that it is home to a species that has bulletproof skin basically (not actually because game retention and shit) and this has characters like Mina, Tetsutetsu, and Kirishima!

The plotline is scattered but here are little scenes I've put together!

You land on the planet to be greeted by Tetsutetsu who towers over the other guards. You can ask about this and they'll say that he has dragon blood in him. The same is said for Kirishima later on.

The people on this planet really like the term alien taking it as compliment from the humans.

Mina is the queen of this planet! She is a very nice queen but can and will beat your ass as she too has dragon blood and has muscles for days! She is ripped as fuck.

The planet design is a mixture between volcanic and just regular rocks and mountains and stone. I just don't like the cluttered look if volcanic places. :/

Red-Eye Guild

A Mercenary Guild that will be mentioned from time to time! It is run by Aizawa, the famous Red-Eye Assassin that people say can take away your powers.

Other members include Shinsou, Hagakure, Kamakiri, and Kuroiro. They'll pop up in different storylines until a later storyline will follow you trying to take it down once and for all while working alongside Tokoyami.
