i was away from sl for 6 days because i went to visit friends.. i didnt bring my computer.. it was first time in a long time i took a true break from pc, im back now though~it feels good to log on

in this post im investigating vkc or, virtual kennel club.. they are similar to breedables (https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Breedables_Guide_For_Second_Life .. if you dont know what this is) , except you dont have to feed them.. and you cant create offspring.. they remain high prim and high script usage though ;p

their mainstore is label as a dog park.. its a open field with signs indicating where u can see the animals.. they sell cats and dogs.. (dogs are divided by large, medium and small).. but also, rabbits and "other" (penguin, polar bear, and apparently pig) .. all of the animals are made of prim, except the pig which is animesh.. it wasnt here last time i came so clearly its new

i like how they look personally, its crazy.. realistic animal textures over sculpty prims.. this is not rare in second life, i like it on animals.. for the cats specifically though i will always think Kittycats are cuter (iwill talk about the kittycats we have in conejo in the next post)

the dogs are the priciest.. almost all of them cost 3.5k lindens.. the cats are a little cheaper, 1.9k(immortalizing a kittycats is this same price, just saying..).. the puppies and bunnys are the cheapest, at 975..

in sl, there is a lack of pets that are just pets and are also interactive.. that dont require funneling money into feeding them.. whenever i see pets that are independent from needing feeding systems, im intruiged.. ofc, there are animesh wanderers like the products of Jian.. but they arent really interactive.. they dont really have the feeling of bein alive tht breedables do

kittycats has the option to immortalize your cats.. but other breedable brands usually dont.. because the whole point of breedables is to breed them and sell the offspring yourself, or collect rare breeds.. or.. to have to feed them & spend money forever :p

vkc remains expensive and land impact heavy, but they are interactive and dont require constant feeding, its a onetime payment

aside from selling the pets themselves.. there are shops that sell items compatible with these animals~toys huds etc.. a lot of it is beds and furniture for ur pet to sit on or toy for ur pet to hold but.. there are huds.. similar to kittycats, there are huds available for interaction.. i love this type of thing a lot (complimentary huds)

now the moment of truth.. bunny purchase! im go for the spotted one because its cute and it was the one that stood out to me most last time i was here.. * buys it*

i got it~! i have named her mija, it means my daughter in spanish

she has many commands, i can pet her, activating an animation.. but i can also command her to sit, play, follow, etc.. i recieved toys from vkc also .. a variety of carrots all of which she can pick up and bring to me.. for now.. she will live in my office
