I kind of actually think the postmodern affinity for constructionism will be the downfall of society as we've known it and not in a good way.
#I woke up in a mood and with hot takes#Don't confuse this for the idea that nothing is constructed#im not a strict primordialist#but strict constructionism is not the 1-stop shop to create social good and nobody is realizing that quickly enough#so much damage is being done. Look at our schools. Look at the ipad kids. Look at our minds. Our values.#Sooner or later we have to accept that there are at least some objective and ontological realities#and the constructions we've attached to them are just what we've chosen to name them.#The constructions often come from how we choose to make sense of those objectivities of humanity and its social realities.
