worldbuilding is hard, kids
#ive been staring at dozens of articles for the past two hours#a lot of them are like 'IF YOU DONT HAVE THIS YOUR STORY WILL BE BAD/FEEL OFF' like ok girl chill#also#im just some guy with zero knowledge on politics or interplanetary politics#dont even get me started on star system economics#magic systems? sure thats up my alley. sci fi tech? ok i can do that#combination of both? sure lets do it#speculative biology? ok ill be doing some research but itll be fine#the list goes on#its just a tall order really#because a lot of the stuff i can do ! itll just take me a while#making planet maps/religions and cultures/foods/trade/etc#its just. a lot#the one thing im really struggling with tho is fucking. space governments and space ecomomies#governments are hehhghhsgks to understand and every time i try to research how to build an economy my brain shuts off at the first words#theres other stuff too that i struggle with that im forgetting to list because my brain is liquefying as we speak#im putting. so much work into this and.#sometimes i step back and look at what im talking about#this is for a hermitcraft au#well. as they say.#ive dug this pit myself and no one else is gonna dig it for me#shovels up lads we have a long way to go#nebula rambles
