Draco Malfoy x Slytherin!Reader Fling!Marco Flint x Slytherin!Reader Harry Potter x Sister!Reader

Summary: Harry Potter's twin sister y/n Potter transfers to Hogwarts during the third year. With Harry being a Gryffindor being sorted into Slytherin was hard enough. Now having to battle the shadow that comes with being the twin of the chosen one. On top of being the only girl on the Slytherin quidditch team. In the notorious cold-blooded house, y/n leans on the Bronze 5. Eventually falling for the pureblood prince, himself Draco Malfoy.

Mischief glitters in your eyes as you respond.

"No one told me how...charming the captain of the quidditch team was" you smile

You heard Draco peep a laugh, but it's drowned out by the music in the background. Thankfully, you send him a glare which he catches and returns an eye roll. Of course, you knew about the misogynistic history of Marcus Flint. But who are you to judge before getting to know him?

"Why don't we go grab a drink?" Marcus asks offering you his hand

"I'd love too" you return

Over at the makeshift bar you ask for a nice hardy cup of fireball. As you were drowning your weight in fireball a soft voice reached you.

"Would you like some herds? You look like you could use some the first batch is on me"

You turn and see Luna Lovegood sitting at a table selling "herbs" and good old fashion muggle weed. Sitting next to her unexpectedly is Neville Longbottom.

"Not tonight" you smile

"Oh, you're Harry's twin aren't you?"

"Harry's sister?" Neville turns

"Yup and your Luna and Neville, right?"

"Yes, we are" they both answer

"Ah so you're responsible for getting my brother so high that one time, he threw up so much he slept with a bucket in his arms."

You laugh and exchange pleasantries until a firm hand finds its way to your waist. You turn to see Marcus.

"There you are lost you for a second"

"Well, here I am"

"Actually if you don't mind do you have a pack of cigarettes by any chance?"

Luna smiles "Your in luck I always have a small stock for the boys and this is my last one"

"Thank you" you reach in the band of your bra for a bill but she stops you

"Please to make up for your brother"

You laugh "Fine but I'm paying next time" you affirm

You and Marcus make your way over to the couch and sit together. He talks about himself for what seems like a little too long. He then asks about you and Ilvermonry to which you then talk about yourself a little. As you guys talk, he finds ways to be closer to you, eventually putting his arm around your shoulder.

In the distance you see Draco standing at the beer pong table watching Pans and Blake play against Blaise and Enzo. You don't notice but his jaw tightens at the sight of Marcus with his arm around you. He doesn't even notice himself tensing up, his grip around his cup tighter. He doesn't like seeing you guys together but he doesn't know why. As you talk to Marcus about Ilvermorny he asks if you guys had quidditch to which you answer.

"I've actually been playing since first year"

"Oh really"

"Ya got on the team first year guess I'm kinda an ace they actually nicknamed me the Horned Viper"

"Damn I mean looks, brains, and quidditch you’re the whole package aren't you"

"I would like to think"

The evening continues with you and Marcus squeezed into the love seat couch deep in conversation.

As it hits 1 am people start leaving

Draco and the group walks over

“Hey Y/N/N we gonna head home if you wanna come”

Marcus stands up and helps you to your feet

“I'll walk you were in the same house anyways”

You smile “Here I thought chivalry was dead”

He gives you his arm and you take it head for the door with the rest of the group behind you. Enzo is holding a buzzed Blake hand on her waist in an effort to stead her. Draco and Blaise are walking with Pans in the middle, her arms around their shoulders. You and Marcus walk a few paces in front of the group. You're a bit more than buzzed but you try to walk on your own suddenly you stumble a little but Marcus catches you. He bridal carries you up the stairs into the shared dorm of Blake, Pans, and sets you down on the bed. Your eyes feel heavy and the last thing you hear before drifting off to sleep is “goodnight vip”.

The next morning you wake up groggy and in last night's clothes you get up and go to the bathroom. After a refreshing shower and some meds for the monster headache you see Pansy and Blake.

“Ugh what happened last night my head's killing me” Pansy says holding her head in her hands

“No literally it's a miracle we got home “ Blake agrees

“Well then you should thank the boys they were with you guys all night”

You guys get dressed and head to the great hall for breakfast. You walk in and spot the boys already at the table. As you guys sit down Blaise starts “good morning sleeping beauties how was your beauty sleep?”

“Killer” Pansy responds

“It's like I got hit by a train. How are you guys okay?” Blake cries out

Enzo responds “We didn't drink like animals that's how”

Draco looks at you and pushes a piece of buttered toast in front of you.

“Eat it'll make you feel better”

You mustier up a smile

“Thanks”

As you dig into the toast you feel someone come up behind you.

“Good morning vip, how'd you sleep?”

“Like a baby”

“Good I'm glad you were knockout cool when I got you home”

“Ya thanks for that by the way”

“No worries anytime” He winks

He puts a cup down on the table

“What is that?”

“Hair of the dog something muggles use for hangovers”

Draco contests “No she does not need more alcohol in her system right now she needs to soak it up”

Marcus turns to look at him “Relax Malfoy she'll be fine”

You stare at the cup “I don't know my hangovers almost passed”

You push the cup away “I'll just ride this one out”

Marcus eyes flash with what seems to be disappointment before it's replaced with his signature smile.

“No worries just trying to help”

“By the way vip you wanna play some quidditch later?”

You give him a smile “Ya definitely I'll be there”

“Great I'll see you later” He says before turning around and leaving”

Enzos is jaw dropped

Blaise is stunned but manages to say “I’ll be damned, how did you get Marcus Flint to eat out of your hand?”

Which Enzos adds on “Damn girl you work fast”

You just smile and say “A lady never tells” before breaking down in laughter with Enzo.

New (less culturally appropriative) Ilvermonry House suggestions

So I’m not sure if anyone’s done this yet (they probably have and I don’t feel like scouring the internet to find out), but I thought I might make some suggestions for alternate house names and mascots for the Ilvermorny school in America. As an American, I was really excited to have an American side added to the wizarding world, yet I, like many, was incredibly dissapointed with J.K. Rowling’s insensitivity to Native American culture (and most of the sociopolitical, cultural, racial and historical nuances of this country, but that’s another post). When first announced, I was inclined to reject them and ignore Ilvermorny altogther. But as time went on, I really did begin to like the idea of the school, and I have lots of ideas for American wizard characters and stories set at Ilvermorny that I want to write. I also like what each house represents, because I think it’s a really interesting way to divide them. It’s just, the mascots and names are so.... just no. I don’t want to perpetuate and normalize cultural appropriation, and so I have decided that, for the purpose of my own understanding of Ilvermorny (and in my eventual fanfic) I will be swapping out the creatures and beings from different Native American cultures for literal animals that are native(ish...) to the Massachusetts area. The names are still preliminary, but I think the new mascots capture the spirits of each house.

So, without further ado, I present my version of the four Ilvermonry Houses:

Ursares

Represents a wizard’s body; favors warriors

Mascot: The bear

At first, I intended the former Wampus house to be represented by the terrifying and fierce grizzly bear, but grizzlies are native to the western part of the continent, and the founders of Ilvermorny would not have encountered them. And so, I decided to go with a black bear, technically, but I’m sure modern members of the house also identify with grizzlies. And polar bears. And possibly pandas, although those aren’t technically bears. “Ursares” is based on the Latin word for bear, Ursa, but made to sound cool and more official. I originally considered making the mascot of this house a Puma, but decided that that was too easy. And also, bears are cute and scary and great.

So, go Bears!

Apidae

Represents a wizard’s heart; favors Healers

Mascot: The Bee

This one stumped me for a while, but I eventually decided that the former Pukwudgie house would be best represented by a honey bee. Honey has healing properties, so the Healer connection works there. Also, bees are generally nice and won’t harm you until you try to harm them; at that point, they will put their very lives into the wounds they inflict, which to me captures the idea of the “wizard’s heart”. Though they be but small, they be fierce :) Once again, “Apidae” is taken from the Latin word for bee.

Go bees!

Magnardea

Represents a wizard’s mind; favors Scholars

Mascot: The Great Blue Heron

[I wanted a more majestic gif for this, but I couldn’t find one. Oh well]

While I originally was trying to think of some reptile that would capture the spirit of the former Horned Serpent house, I eventually concluded that the North American animal which best captures the aloof, mysterious nature of this house is the Great Blue Heron. If you’ve ever seen one in person, you will understand. They’re just so... majestic. They look like dinosaurs when they fly, and they’re very elusive. They seem like they would be wise. As far as the name goes, “Ardea” is the Latin world for Heron. However, I didn’t want two houses to start with the same letter and I was pretty set on Apidae, and so I added the prefix “Magna” which means great, because it’s the “great” blue heron, and also this house seems the most pretentious :) (this is my house, so I am allowed to say that). This is the name that I’m the least sure of, because it still sounds kind of weird to me, but it’s what I’ve got for now.

So, go Herons!

Crotalus

Represents a wizard’s soul; favors Adventurers

Mascot: The Rattlesnake

Once I became sold on the Heron as a mascot, I decided not to go with another bird for the former Thunderbird house. I was drawing a blank, until one of my friends suggested the rattlesnake, and I think it fits. I associate them with the woods and with the desert, which are far out places where one might go adventuring. Also, they’re known for their sound, which is also an association with Thunderbirds, so that sort of works. There’s danger and venom here. “Crotalus” is their Latin genus name, and I think it works as a House name without any modification.

I do like this mascot, but I would be open to other ideas for this house too. I think I considered wolf, coyote, different kinds of raptors such as hawks or vultures, and maybe an albatross? But again, I wanted four very different animals, and I already have a four-legged mammal and a bird house, and I can’t think of any other reptiles that are native to the Massachusetts area and that capture the spirit of Thunderbird (turtles don’t seem to work).

So (for now), go Rattlesnakes!

The Other Half | I

Warnings: Angst, Underage drinking, Fluff, Cursing, Child Neglect (implied), Potential Dark Themes (I'll put specific triggers warnings in each part)

A/N: Hey guys! this is my first-time writing fanfic and I hope you guys like it!! I’m sorry ahead of time for misspellings and grammar issues. This is set in a retired Voldy AU and I don’t own this gif.

Since the day you were left on the doorstep Harry, and you only had each other. Harry always defended you from Uncle Vernon whether it was taking the blame or giving what little food he had to you when punished. And every year you'd celebrate your birthday together with a simple “Happy Birthday”. The day Hagrid came to liberate you both you held each other tight as you walked through the door into your new life.

While Harry when to Hogwarts you not wanting to deal with the label of being the “Chosen one’s twin sister” decided to attend Ilvermonry. There as you were sorted the great statues of the Horned Serpent and Wampus both bowed in your presents. You ultimately chose the Horned Serpent and became the first to play quidditch as a first year and win the house cup. After attending for two years you decided to transfer to Hogwarts to be with your brother.

As you entered the great hall your name was called, you walked up the steps and sit in the chair to be sorted. As the hat was lowered it started to speak “Another Potter this I didn’t expect, you are different than your brother. You have the NEED to prove yourself. Prove that you are not just the sister of the Chosen one. To prove that you are the other half. I have the house that will nurture you on the way there.”

You sit there for what felt like hours as you faintly heard the hat announces “Slytherin”. You will yourself to get up and walk over to the Slytherin table. Unlike Harry who was welcomed to his table by cheers, high fives, and pats on the back. You were welcomed by blank stares and questioning faces. You couldn’t even will yourself to look at your brother's reaction to the news. “A Potter in Slytherin?” you could hear the girls chat next to you.

As you get lost in thought a girl walks up behind you introducing herself “Hi my name is Avery, Blake Avery” she’s about 5’6 her hair is a dirty blonde, and she has the most beautiful green eyes. She jesters behind her and simply ask “Why don’t you come sit with us? we could use new company”. Partly shell-shocked you stand up and trail behind her taking a sit on the bench.

There’s a boy and a girl next to you the girl had pale skin, dark brown hair, and hazel eyes. She looks at you querying "I'm Parkinson, Pansy Parkinson. Pans for short" Sitting next to her is a boy with fluffy brown hair paired with the nicest greenish blue eyes. He has a soft but sharp jawline and the sweetest smile. He turns to me and offers his hand.

“Berkshire, Lorenzo Berkshire but you can call me Enzo” you offer a small smile to both and shake his hand.

“Potter, Y/N Potter but you already knew that” all three of them laugh.

As you turn to look sitting across the table are two boys the first one is a dark-skinned boy with a stern look on his face at first “Zabini, Blaise Zabini”. He says as he gives you his hand “Pleasure and you are?” you ask as you turn to the platinum blonde-haired boy sitting next to him. His grey glacier eyes meet your warm brown eyes.

“Malfoy, Draco Malfoy.”

"You I've heard of," you say he raises an eyebrow

“My brother we've been writing to each other for the past two years to keep in touch."

"How sweet," says Blake

"Rightt" you reply before you get too deep in thought you ask, "So anyone play quidditch here?" Enzo replies "Welp you’re in luck Blaise, Draco, and I all play. But I have to warn you it’s been years since a girl’s been on the house team"

"And why is that?" you ask, "Its Marcus Flint the perfect combination of toxic masculinity and good old fashion misogyny," says Blake

"Well then this is going to be fun" you whisper, "And why is that" Draco all but scoffs.

"They don't call me the Horned Viper for nothing," you say slightly smirking.

"Well on that note why don't we show you to our dorm?" Blake says getting up.

You and the girls stand up and start walking down towards the dungeons to the Slytherin common room.

"I have a feeling you'll fit in just fine," Blake says while side-hugging you.

Pansy ask you "are you really going to try out for the quidditch team?" "Nothing can keep me away," you say.

"Then you need all the support you can get" Pansy signs

"Well, here we are that’s your bed over there now freshen up we have a party to attend tonight," Blake says excitingly. You smile and walk over to your bed unpacking your trunk. After taking a shower and doing your hair and makeup you start to look through your trunk searching for an outfit.

Blake and Pansy walk in seeing you struggling, Blake walks over and hands you a black satin mini dress. "Here this will look way better on you" Blake winks at you and you thank her as she and Pansy processed to tell you that you are welcome to borrow their clothes anytime. You put on a pair of black platform boots and head out the door arms linked with Pansy and Blake. You meet up with the boy’s downstairs and Enzo is the first to shower everyone with compliments.

"Wow you guys look amazing," he says to Pansy and Blake

"Y/N you clean up real nice too". You smile and give him a playful bump.

"Quite the gentleman, aren't you?"

"I'd like to think" he replies smiling.

The 6 of you climb the stairs to the Gryffindor common room as Pansy explains to you that every other day the houses rotate to host parties for the whole school. The next one is Slytherin and then Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff then back to Gryffindor. You nod and try to ignore the growing knot in your stomach. You haven't talked to Harry since you got to Hogwarts because you feared that he would cast you out for being in Slytherin. Draco saw the way your eyes panicked for a slight second when Pansy told you that the party was at Gryffindors.

As you all walked into the Gryffindor common room you could see that the party has well started. Muggle music played with people standing around tables playing beer pong and throwing back shots. The boys tell us they're going to get drinks and Pansy and Blake start to head for the dance floor. You decide to look for your brother much to your dismay. Walking around scouting for him when you see Hermione and Ron, you've never met them of course but Harry was constantly writing about them. You straighten a little and walk up to them.

"Hey, have you by any chance seen Harry?" you ask

"Oh my god you must be Y/N Harry never stops talking about you," Hermione says

"Really?"

"Bloody hell you’re much better looking than Harry led on," Ron says earning a flick to the forehead from Hermione.

"What you do that for?" Ron cries

"Don’t be rude Ronald" Hermione says.

As you and Hermione laugh you hear the all too familiar voice.

"That’s because I didn't want you chasing after her"

"Harry!" You say half nervous half excited Hermione reads your mood and drags Ron away "Come on Ronald I need another drink" "But you haven't even finished yours" Ron says confused. You start to fidget with your rings as you decide what to say.

"I'm sorry I got sorted into Slytherin," you say not knowing how he'll respond. Harry is partly shocked by this "Why are you sorry?" he asks.

"I know how much you dislike them, and I thought you might dislike me for it," you say trying to not sound sad.

"Y/N you are my sister no matter what whether you’re a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryffindor it doesn't matter. Besides, I knew you'd be put in Slytherin"

"What do you mean how would you know?" you ask to which he responds.

"Your Ilvermonry house is a Horned Serpent it's literally the equivalent of Slytherin. Plus, your quidditch name Horned Viper"

"Ya, I guess I am meant to be in this house" you laugh.

"So are you going to try out for the quidditch team?"

"Harry of course I am, I mean it's in our blood." "Besides someone has to give you a much-needed ego check."

As if on cue Fred and George Weasley pop out behind Harry "my my who do we have here Fred?"

"It seems like the other half is here" Fred replies

"You’re not the only twins around here anymore; unfortunately," you say.

"Well, we're happy to share the title with such a gorgeous girl," Fred says with a wink. Harry pretends to hurl "That’s my sister you’re talking to" you laugh and tell him you should find your group. You find Blaise, Enzo, Blake, and Pans on the dance floor and spot Draco sitting on a couch to the side drink in hand. You walk past the four and take a sit on the larger couch next to Draco.

"Why aren't you dancing?" you yell over the loud music.

"I guess I don't have the right partner" he returns.

As you were about to respond to Draco an unfamiliar figure walks into your view blocking Draco.

"Well, well well beautiful what is your name?"

"Potter, Y/N Potter"

"Well, so I’ve heard my name is Flint, Marcus Flint Slytherin quidditch captain"

"Pleasure"

"Please the pleasure is all mine."

Andrina grew up in southern California like her sisters but for the first part of her life, she didn’t live with them. She lived with her mom in a very nice house, where all her needs were met. They didn’t exactly live in luxury but her no-maj born mother didn’t want her to live the way that her father Triton lived. She didn’t want her daughter to be out of touch and spoiled. She saw her half sisters regularly and liked them quite a bit but always felt uncomfortable at their house, surrounded by wealth and power. She felt even more uncomfortable the more she came to understand the kinds of pressure’s her sister’s were under. Pressures to perform well socially and magically, pressure to marry well into anther pureblood family and pressure to uphold the legacy of the Atlantica family name. It made Andi uncomfortable that her last name gave her benefits and privileges that only her sisters had to work to maintain.

When it came time to choose a school, she opted to go to the school furthest away from home, Mahoutokoro. Her time there came to an end but she wasn’t done learning and so she enrolled at Ilvermonry, expecting to only see her youngest sisters there. She loves her sisters and wants to be closer to them but she worries that getting too close will be bad for their reputation since she isn’t just their half sister but a child born from an affair. She chose to specialize and become a frontline auror and fight against witch hunters who killed her sister’s mother.

Arista Atlantica: Her half sister who is also attending Ilvermorny with her. She admires Arista’s talents in art and wishes that she didn’t have to live with such an overbearing father.

Adella Atlantica: Andrina is by no means a proper young lady and so the two don’t always see eye to eye.

Ariel Atlantica: Ariel is her baby sister and she would defend her to the death.
