I translated Beast Encyclopedia for ikepri users who have difficulty understanding Japanese. I searched the character illustrations and made it😊
I couldn't get a background illustration. Because the Beast Encyclopedia of 3 new characters currently exists only on paper goods,, Thus I did a little editing by using photo of those paper goods.
When the official version comes out, it might have some differences with officially uploded Encyclopedia.
I tried to improve the illustration quality by retouching but it's the limit I guess...🥲 I thought you might be veryvery curious before the official version come up!! hope you enjoy it💓

Same line - one happy, one heartbreaking (I'll let you decide which one is which). Both definitely needed a hug in these scenes. They're both so different, yet so alike, and so connected to the other.
SPOILERS FOR GILBERT MAIN ROUTE AND CHEVALIER SEQUEL EPISODE 0 BELOW:
I finished reading Gilbert's Romantic End earlier. And after that trip (yes, his route made me cry a second time - but also again, not for anything he said or did), I had to be comforted by reading Chevalier.
Ep 0 has another flashback to when Chevalier and Gilbert were young and friends. Gilbert helps another child, and Chevalier is confused why Gilbert would help. He just doesn't get it. Gilbert then tells him...
Flash forward to present day now. Emma is getting fitted for a new diplomatic dress. Chevalier is watching her and thinking about how much he loves her.
Emma was the one to show him what it's like to be loved and show love; Gilbert was the one who told him.
I wonder how Gilbert would feel being called "scourge of the world" and how it compares to "eyepatch bastard" 😂

🌹About the Rose Knight (Michel family) of Rhodolite🌹
A few facts about Chevalier's ancestors and the "Rose Knight". From Clavis' story in the "Rhodolite Horror Night" event.
Trigger warnings: War, death, sickness
I'll be putting it under the cut, in case of spoilers:
Clavis and his Mc are about to do a test of courage and they are also about to lift the curse. They find the 150-years-old portrait of a woman, Vivian Michel.
The Michel family took part in the making of Rhodolite, with the production of very strong knights. The portrait might have been 150 years old, but Clavis, just like that, confirmed that the family existed there for a very long time.
And like that, we get to learn about the "Rose Knight". A knight who led every battle in the front lines, as he was the strongest, crowning Rhodolite victorious. Clavis said there was an "anecdote", saying that he once entered the enemy's territory and destroyed it by himself. This information made his Mc think that it did sound like something Chevalier could do too.
Vivian Michel, rumored to be his wife, was wearing on the top of her dress, an insignia of the tiger. The tiger was different from Chevalier's, but it was the same animal (which makes sense on why Chevalier has one too, it wasn't something he just made up). The insignia naturally belonged to the Rose Knight. And in the book Clavis was reading for information, the Knight's wife was rumored to be very sickly.
Sadly, tragedy did strike the Rose Knight. A man who always took a long time to say goodbye and part ways with his wife before every war, was called for a sudden enemy attack. And when he returned to Rhodolite, the news of her passing away left him very saddened. Her funeral was also done a long time ago, before his return. He lost all motivation to fight and left Rhodolite, without anyone knowing where he went.
These are all known from a book Clavis found in the library. He told his fiancée that if she asked Chevalier, he wouldn't know. She thought that he probably wouldn't answer, even if he did.

Supposedly improved the taste of those terrible army rations and the soldiers shed tears of gratitude
He developed a new form of medicine on the spot when his fiancée caught a fever. Walter: You advanced technology by another 100 years
With the rumors of how much he adores his fiancée, Obsidian merchants have started importing goods from Rhodolite
He's working on some sort of cryopreservation to keep his fiancee's sweets as long as possible
Roderich's weapon was made by Gilbert. It's so important to him that he never lets it go, even holding it in his sleep.
As a child, a friend from Rhodolite taught him how to use a sword. Said friend then beat him so brutally which made Gilbert avoid using swords
Recently set up a workshop dedicated to producing handmade clothes and jewelry for his fiancee.
Recently, a new part of his nightly routine is asking his fiancée to remove his eyepatch for him.
Back when he was a kid, his mother used to read him a lot of fairy tales about a prince dancing with his beloved, so he learned to dance for when that day came

GILBERT VON OBSIDIAN EVENT STORY....
CHAPTER ONE.

One day, I was caught in a runaway carriage in town and lost my memory.
Gilbert: This is trouble. I never expected the little rabbit would forget about all our time together.
Gilbert: The coachman who caused this accident will be executed at once…
Gilbert: The main issue is this distance between us.
(….This is a nightmare.)
(I'm having a bad dream right now.)
I was working at the small bookstore in Rhodolite, the land of roses and art.
But for some reason, I woke up in the castle of Obsidian, an enemy nation of military and ore.
The unrealistic nightmare of being confronted by a handsome looking man with black hair and one eye from the royal family makes me feel dizzy.
(Why am I in Obsidian? And why is a member of the royal family approaching me?)
I rolled off the bed and ran to the wall but,
The man who introduced himself as Gilbert steadily closed the distance between us.
At first glance, he looked like he was smiling, but his blood-colored eye was not, which was simply terrifying.
(He’s the infamous Obsidianite royal family who must have killed many people so far—-)
(If I'm not careful, he could kill me too.)
Gilbert: Hmm, to be so frightened by the little rabbit who loved me so much...
Gilbert: I'm so shocked that I feel like I want to prepare a cage right away.
Walter: You idiot! Don't say that even if it is a joke!
Then, the man who claimed to be the royal physician, Mr. Walter, yelled so loudly that it made me flinch involuntarily.
Walter: You always think of imprisonment and execution whenever someone is in trouble.
Gilbert: I’m serious, you know? Once I confine the little rabbit, she can't escape.

Walter: Don't threaten the injured person. Look at how pale her face is.
Gilbert: Aah, sorry? I'm the kind and sweet villain to you, so if you don't like it, I'll stop.

It didn't seem like this was the right time to be afraid and try to escape from reality.
I fought the urge in my body to escape from Gilbert standing in front of me, and held my ground.

Gilbert: Of course, because I brought you here.
Emma: But why a commoner like me….?
Gilbert: Because I’m the big villain who loves the little rabbit very much.

Gilbert: Yes, that's right. I love you.

But surely, I see my reflection captured in those seemingly indifferent red eye.
I felt his genuine feeling of love, and had no choice but to accept Gilbert’s words.

Gilbert: Sure, I'll spend the whole night telling you.

After Mr. Walter finished treating me, I was led into a spacious room covered in black interior
I was intrigued by the shelves lined with many books that rivaled any bookstore,

I tried to sit as far away from him as possible, but Gilbert mercilessly settled down close enough for our shoulders to touch.

Gilbert: ——And so, you are now loved by me, the world's greatest villain, and we lived happily ever after.

I was chosen as Belle to select the next king of Rhodolite,

Gilbert: Didn't I tell you? That I’m the kind and sweet villain to you.

Gilbert: Even if you lost your memories, you can never escape from me…okay?
Gilbert combs my hair with his fingers and kisses me.
It was a gentle touch that conveyed love and affection.
(He's supposed to be scary, but...he really seems to love me.)
Why he fell in love with me was never mentioned in the conversation.
(I wonder if one day I'll be able to remember.)

The next day, the confusion and agitation caused by the memory loss still lingered—-
Gilbert invited me to visit a quiet place full of plants.

Anon....I am so sorry for taking forever to get to these asks. I read both ends of his sequel in 36 hours and then couldn't process a thing afterwards 😭
I can scream for a while about this, but I'll try to keep this under a novel's length lol
MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT GILBERT'S MAIN ROUTE / CHEVALIER'S SEQUEL ROUTE BELOW:
Alright, you asked about Gil and Cheva things, so here it goes.
There is so much Gilbert in his sequel. So much that it starts to feel like Comte's route when it becomes the Vlad show (if you read IkeVamp). And I guess, like Comte and Vlad, they can't shake that friendship that was there since their youth.
In Cheva's sequel, Cheva and Emma go to Obsidian (along with Leon, Yves, Cyran and Lucien - wow that's a mouthful) because of...well, things that happen in the prequel that are barely even important here. Gilbert spends a bit of time with Emma - for obvious reasons, if you read his route, and Chevalier spends some time digging around Obsidian Castle.
One thing that will be nice for players who don't read Cheva's events is they will see his emotional development that was lacking in his route. You will see a Chevalier who is free to be affectionate with Emma in front of his brothers (to which Yves and Leon were thoroughly disturbed). His love for Emma is on full display....and guess who is witnessing all of this.
When the routes split, they deal with the a similar conflict, but one puts the problem solving on Emma, the other puts it on Chevalier. And it's interesting to see how they both handle it - which is they handle it the same way. Chevalier puts all his trust and faith in Emma - and this love is something Gilbert ends up being jealous of.
My favorite saddest part of Chevalier's sequel comes towards the end of his Dramatic Route. Chevalier is put in a terrible, awful, horrible situation, one where we truly see how mad Gilbert is - did you think you saw his madness already? Guess what, you didn't. Anyway, after all the horrible things Gilbert has done to Chevalier (which Leon saved him from!) Chevalier asks Emma and Leon to leave the room.
Gilbert and Chevalier have a heart to heart chat, best that these two can. Gilbert admits that he has known about Emma for some time now (cue shocked Chevalier). He tells him he is in love with her and he had wanted to save her from being tainted by royalty. They are only engaged, and there was still hope for her. He then adds that despite all of Gilbert's obstacles, their love for one another won out and neither betrayed the other. Can these two hug it out now?
Chevalier also had figured out Gilbert is sick and dying. He tells him to get himself better and that Obsidian needs him. Obsidian is nothing without him. This is after Gilbert tried to kill him and even shot him with his gun. That just shows the deep (and weird and twisted) bond these two share. And I think it also shows immense emotional growth for Chevalier.
