OUT. || If you ask Becky who her favorite Avenger is, she’s going to give a different answer each time, and it’s never Steve or Jimmy, because she’s an asshole. 

IN. || Becky is vehemently not pro-military or pro-government. That's probably clear, but it just needs to be said. She never was very gung-ho, even when she was in the Navy Nurse Corps, but after everything that happened, she was even less so.

IN. || The visual representation of Becky’s conscience is her brother and if you don’t think that’s the softest shit idk what to tell you. 

IN. || In every conceivable way other than physical, it's integral to remember, at all times, that Rebecca Pamela Barnes is a cat.

IN. || Her name's Rebecca Pamela Barnes. Becky to all. Becca to her brother. And Bernadette to @mieczlw and @mieczlw only.

OUT. || No one asked for this but Becky was always so pissed off when Steve got taller because he was already five inches taller than she was and that was a GOOD height difference. Now she has to crane her neck just to talk to him

WARDROBE. || Becky’s clothes are often a product of practicality than truly being about a certain fashion or style. She isn’t against being fashionable, but her life has always been so much about needs over wants that it hasn’t really occurred to her to explore a personal sense of style, even in the present day. 

Becky is almost always wearing sweaters since she is constantly cold, due to both poor circulation and too-low body fat. It’s not very often that she’s not wearing long sleeves, though she does roll up her sleeves when she’s working on someone medically. That being said, her brownstone is kept at a temperature that is almost uncomfortable for some people. 

And secondly, Becky never wears low necklines, in order to cover up the scars she has from her open heart surgery and consequent procedures when she first came to the future. She isn’t ashamed of the scars so much as she is tired of seeing people look at the scars — the largest of which bisects her torso and is quite obvious — and having those be the first or only things they see. She doesn’t wear turtlenecks, but her collars are often either just crew-necks or boat-necks. 

IN. || If you needed something super cute to think about, just remember that when Becky pulls down the murphy bed, she has to jump up to grab the handle and then just sorta hangs there and has to let her weight and gravity do the work.

EAT BECKY’S FOOD. || I cannot overstate this. Becky grew up during a time of pretty intense food insecurity, and due to that, she has a habit that a lot of people who ever have been food insecure share: she often overbuys/overstocks her pantry. And she has more food than she personally can eat. So if you’re getting patched up by Becky and she offers you food from the pantry, take it. It’s going to end up either going bad or getting donated and replaced with another more-than-she-needs food run.

OUT. || Becky lied on her paperwork for getting into the Navy Nurse Corps, because there was a height minimum of 5'0 so she fudged her height one inch higher.
