Estamos viendo el símbolo de la democracia y la unidad alemana: Paulskirche, en castellano, la iglesia de San Pablo, en el corazón histórico de Frankfurt, dado que fue allí donde, en 1848, se reunió el primer Parlamento elegido democráticamente para organizar la Asamblea Nacional Alemana. Como típica iglesia protestante, este templo de estilo neoclasicista, construido entre 1789 y 1833, presenta una nave única, casi circular, concebida así para que todos escuchasen por igual al pastor u orador.
