#red string and thumbtacks#if this had happened in a piece of Christian Fiction(TM) it would have been so awful but here? spectacular#established for the audience (though i suppose it was something easily missed) all the way back in s2 that 'the Spirit is the Truth'#and then when she gets sick? we're told straight-out 'the Truth will save you; i think it'll save both of us'#and he may not know yet that the Spirit is the Truth. but she does!! and really her arc is about surrendering to it#and when the cure turns out to be a lie and she is absolutely doomed now and he is walking toward an uncertain fate ...#... she tells him simply 'you'll be in my prayers.' then there's the juxtaposition of him in the hearing while she prays with the priest#and suddenly he finds his answer! he is saved! (and the juxtaposition strongly indicates that it was her prayers protecting him)#and then later we learn that she is healed without any explanation to be found!#i just ... 'the Truth will save you; i think it'll save both of us' AND IT DID#anyway the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it and i am never going to stop shouting about it
