I've seen a lot of talk about this, and I just want to emphasize that Scotland isn't absolved of the crimes of the British empire just because we got colonized by England first.

Do we have every right to hate the English and want to leave the UK? Of course we do. But we also played a direct and voluntary part in so much of the destruction Britain caused. We have as much responsibility for that as Wales and England.

When people from colonized countries say "fuck the British" they mean us as well. Remember that.
