Hunter x nonbinary! reader (if you don't mind using neopronouns pls use Xe/Xem/Xyr, but if you prefer they/them, that's perfectly fine!) Where the reader gets major cuteness aggression from Hunter? Especially when he does his little squeals things.

Like Hunter could literally be doing anything, and the reader would just go *CHOMP* or squeal and pinch his cheeks and kiss him all over.

I get so much cuteness aggression for some reason idk why I just wanna smother that boy in so much affection.

it takes hunter a while to actually understand that what you’re doing is a show of affection rather than an attempt to freak him out or hurt him

like for the first month or so of you two being a thing he was so concerned and confused by how often you’d just randomly grab, pinch or bite him

but once he actually understood (read: papa darius explained it to him), he started to get flustered by your actions

(bless darius who had to translate your love language from hunter’s terrible explanations — like ‘xe just bit me! for no reason!’ or ‘i wasn’t even doing anything to xem and they just started pinching my face! what did i do?!’)

(that man deserves a medal and a vacation lol)

e.g. he’d be in the middle of a sentence, excitedly talking about wild magic and you’d just get so overwhelmed by how adorable he is that you just chomp his hand

and he’ll make a little ‘eep’ kind of noise before going the brightest shade of red

he’ll lose the ability to speak and kind of just goes limp, leaning into you as you go through your little moment — which arguably makes it worse since he’s so cute when he’s flustered, but oh well

after a few years of being together he mostly adjusts to your shows of affection, but when you start squealing over how cute he is he still blushes a bit

if anyone else sees what’s going on he’ll try to explain it — but his explanations aren’t the best when he’s embarrassed so they’re of no help

a conversation may look like:

‘oh my titan, hunter, is xe okay?’

‘oh yeah xe’s fine — it’s just a cuteness…anger… thingie…’

‘and this is… normal for xem?’

‘yeah it’s kinda how xe shows affection sometimes — i don’t get it either’

‘oookay… have fun with that’

and that’s it

the only person who really gets it is luz, who sometimes gets the overwhelming urge to gnaw on her little brother because of how gosh dang adorable he is

which means that hunter and king are both members of the ‘my loved one has bitten me because they think i look cute’ club

(several palismen have also joined this club, amongst them stringbean)

but for as strange, and initially very concerning, as this aspect of you is, hunter will grow to appreciate and love it as he does the rest of you

just be careful about biting him, he is kinda made of wood
