posting a wip of angel!xl now so that i'll guilt myself into actually finishing it later lmao

#idk how to draw wings.....#or his cursed shackles#or what his expression should be#sigh#i was just thinking about a modern au with clumsy angel xie lian who has been sent to earth to be hong-er's guardian angel#and they spend a few months being happy together but then xl is forcibly sent back to heaven bc he's been meddling too much with mortals#leaving poor baby hc alone and thinking that maybe he really is unlovable but he still continues to pray and look for his angel#meanwhile in heaven the once seraphim turned angel xie lian is once again admonished by ~~god~~ heavenly emperor jun wu as punishment is#sent to be spend a lifetime as a human filled with bad luck and suffering#idk what else happens but obvs hc and xl meet again and fall in love etc etc#in the end there's gonna be a part where hc is about to get killed or smthn but xl saves him and sacrifices himself instead#hc is left crying over the still mortal body of xl and as he confesses his undyng love for xl a burst of light hits him and xl's angel form#is revealed and xl gives him one last beatific smile as he ascends once again to heaven#more plot stuff happen idk but they manage to overthrow jun wu and make heaven a better place again the end#lmao#tgcf
