I miss having a cold being treated as a valid reason to call in sick instead of being told that's TMI and asked when I'll be in. We should have kept that mindset of avoiding spreading diseases unnecessarily

#at least i can wear my mask i guess #but i have to go teach a room full of students for 2 hours #and its coming up on exam season so their immune systems are shot #id be shocked if nobody catches this stupid cold from me today #but noooo its just so important that i be there to physically sit in the room with them instead of running the session online #not to mention all the people on the train and bus #idk like obviously this was always an issue pre-covid but we all experienced the benefits of better general hygeine practices etc. firsthand #why are so many people willing to just let things go back to how they were before??#and now fucking Sunak wants to make it even harder to call out sick even for serious things #the tory bastard #so its only going to get worse #i hate it here
