Do you think there's any truth to this idea that because Lewis hasn't posted anything post Bahrain related like he usually does that there's a problem and he might be leaving Merc? I'm trying so hard not to believe it or overthink but other people having similar thoughts is worrying me lmao

i don’t think he’s leaving merc.

this man is loyal to a fault, with ignite he is building something with merc that goes beyond him being a driver for them. he’s always said one of the key things he appreciates about merc is that you’re with them for life. he’s been saying he’ll sign for several more years.

where else would he go? toxic redbull? the ferrari clownshow? what other team would be as open to supporting his diversity efforts and letting him be his full self in the paddock and running all these other businesses and projects outside f1?

i think he’ll see his masterpiece as complete once he reaches another milestone with merc - whether that’s winning his 8th or leading them back to the front or something else.

#idk if he had really planned to stay in f1 this long. i kinda doubt it #but the way things are now i do think he’ll stay until the next reg changes in 2026 #i’ve been very vocal about wanting him to leave bc merc aside f1 and the FIA have been TESTING him in the past couple years to say the least #so i would very much understand if he left once his contract runs out at the end of this year #but i don’t think he will. he‘s never just walked away from a fight and i don’t think he will now #lewis hamilton #ask
