First of all, JIMIN is literally a unisex name which is especially given for baby girls in SK. So there's no need to add anything to make it more girly lmao. His name is commonly used by girls anyway.. we have many girl idols named Jimin but uses stage names because JIMIN is owned by mimi 🤷♀️
Second, people really think saying he looks like a woman is offensive ? The same person who asked 'what the heck is men ?', Regularly wears women clothing, drew a bigender tattoo on himself, thinks he looks beautiful when dressed as a girl, calls himself pretty, pretite and delicate, chose modern dance and ballet as his major which are not commonly done by men and is frowned upon in SK, repeated he's NOT manly multiple times in a single interview, likes to keep his body dainty, want to make his booty even bigger, used a woman as his reflection and is VERY fluid with his gender identity representation 🙄🙄 More than anyone else Jimin knows his feminine side and fucking embrace it proudly
If him, his dad and mom, his partner, his members, his freinds and his stans doesn't have a single problem with him not being the usual 'manly' guy then who tf have a problem with how he carries himself ?

ok now i’m curious what your explanations are for the Fermi paradox
first off love the way u phrased this cause it sounds like i personally came up with these. second off welcome to my ted talk and please remember this has nothing to do with the objective likelihood of each of these explanations and everything to do with If I Like Them.
"they are too alien" - FAVOURITE. obsessed obsessed obsessed w the idea that there is intelligent life out there but it is so fundamentally different from us we are unable to recognize the signs of their existence. i think a lot of our ideas about extraterrestrials are way too anthropocentric and rely too often on assumptions and extrapolations based on our history/biology/technology so this concept? MWAH. top tier. banger.
"evolutionary Great Filter" - so interesting!!! the thing with the sample size of one (1) planet is that we have no idea how rare or difficult the evolution of life / life of biological complexity / intelligent life might be. i mean, i'm personally on the side of the good ol Copernican principle of There Is Nothing Special About Earth, but until we find life beyond earth we can't be sure how much of a Great Filter evolution of life may be. this is why the prospect of finding life on Europa/Enceladus/Titan etc etc is so exciting!!!!!
"communication is dangerous" aka everyone is quiet and hiding in fear of Something/Someone Out There - yes it's stupid and no i don't believe in it but it's SUCH a fun sci-fi horror concept. GREAT potential for fiction. ive read a short story or two with that premise and it is very chilling and very cool
"zoo hypothesis" aka they're out there and they know abt us but they're leaving us to our own devices like a wildlife reserve (perhaps until The Time Is Right to make contact) - i don't find it particularly plausible but i do think it's neat :) i like the level of consideration and care for other beings it suggests, even if the idea of such a Benevolent Alien feels more like a projection of our hopes than anything else
"extinction bc of natural events is inevitable" - idk kinda boring. unless it's like, astronomical events cause the idea of a hypothetical civilization just getting randomly fucking sniped by a gamma ray burst is kinda funny like. HOW unlucky would you have to be akjndgjkfk

(pt3) your masters thesis sounds so interesting! i'd love to know more about it bc i only know a little bit about differences in gay rights between east and west but like next to nothing about how they handled hiv/aids and the influence of language is so fascinating too oh my god that made me crack up 😂 my mum grew up around hohenschönhausen 😅
(pt4) and yes exactly! like some jobs were treated so much more fairly and also what really surprised me was that according to my history teacher the east was actually a bit better/faster than the west in regards to womens rights (for example abortion was legal in the east earlier) okay so from your stories i definitely relate more to the british approach to criticism 😂 i can't tell people their ideas are shit bc i hate confrontation

thank u!! god i dont actually know THAT much about the language yet bc i havent started researching but a few interesting points i’ve picked up are that 1. they always referred to drug users as ‘fixer/fixerinnen’ which is obviusly like...quite a politicised term when they had the option to say like drogenabhängige or sth 2. academics would constantly refer to ‘ansteckungsverdächtigen’ and the verdächtig in that is like...HMMM...not good 3. there was a medical panel held in 1987 in east berlin which used english terminology to describe sexual practices that carried increased risk of hiv transmission (e.g. fisting) and because lots of people didn’t speak english they weren’t actually being educated on what they should be avoiding/doing more safely SO!! theres a lot to look at i havent really started researching like i said i should though but theres already a lot of interseting things in there imo sorry this is probably super boring i just get very excited about it
oh absolutely!! it was because of necessity (the way the ecnomy was set up meant that they needed all available bodies working) but it meant that there were SO many more provisions especially childcare and you can still see that prevailing today theres a huge divide between east/west in terms of maternity leave and childcare
