i impulse bought a model someone made for 3d printing and now i'm looking at videos on how to paint printed resin figures lmao
#it's my favorite character of all time so i had to. she has no merch except one figure that came out in like 2009 that's like 800$ now.#so i guess fuck it we'll make it ourselves??#note: i do not own a 3d printer.#but i can send the file to a shop who'll print it for me and send me the parts#leaving the painting to me. which honestly i'd be super down to do because i love the idea of painting figures#however. it's been A WHILE since i painted anything with real brushes.#just kinda hoping my raw inherent artistic intuition is enough to do it.#i'd genuinely get super invested into this and commit to getting air brushes and the like. but i don't have the working space for it#so i have to do it classic style and hope that it's good.#just like with anything in life i'm hoping i do get started on this project because if i do and it ends up OK i'm probably going to do more#and that'll just be like a fun hobby for me#there are some really good 3d models people have made.
