Back a few years ago when System of a Down's drummer pretty much outed himself as a right-wing shitwad on Instagram, so many fans (including myself) were upset and disappointed that somebody in a politically progressive band had been this awful the whole time. I remember thinking, "Well, it's just the drummer. At least the other three are men of their word".

Hahahahahaha, well, I recently found out by accident that bassist Shavo Odadjian follows a lot of right-wing new pundits and "traditional family" accounts on Instagram, and had this very "Et tu, Brute?" moment. Hiding in plain fucking sight, yet nobody has called him out for it yet.

At the end of the day, it really was songwriters Serj Tankian and Daron Malakian who were the progressive minds of the band, and the two who didn't write songs apparently looked at SOAD as a job.
