so i've already outgrown the little baby dumbbells that i have at home and tbh all i've done so far at the gym is cardio because the weight room always intimidates me but it might be time to graduate to some heavier weights and take full advantage of what my $28/month has to offer...

Alternative DR1 Punishment: Chihiro Fujisaki
So I thought “What about the students who didn’t get executed?” I know they have executions in the artbooks and stuff, but I wanted to imagine how they might get executed in the game.
So in this one, the second murder saw Chihiro murder Mondo with a dumbbell after being teased about his lack of strength. And yes, I would protect Chihiro with my life and I feel so bad about doing this but....it’s PUNISHMENT TIME!
World’s Weakest Man* - The Ultimate Programmer’s Punishment
Chihiro trembled as the verdict was revealed. He’d been found guilty of murdering Mondo Oowada. Although he tried to explain himself, his voice turned rapidly to tears – he never meant to do it, he was trying to prove to himself that he could be strong. But now, as Monokuma walked over to him to drag him off, he felt weaker than he ever had before.
He realised that nothing could save him, so reluctantly, he started walking out of the trial ground under his own steam. Remembering the look of terror on Leon’s face as he was dragged out by the neck, he didn’t want that to be the last the others saw. As he left, he turned slightly.
“I- I’m sorry….everyone…” he said softly, tears falling down his face as he looked at the floor. Then he turned, and left the other students behind.
The monitors in the trial ground lit up, and showed a close up of Chihiro’s face. It zoomed out to show a gym, with a whole host of weightlifting equipment scattered around. The Ultimate Programmer was sat on a padded bench, the type that people use for bench pressing weights. Monokuma neared him, and with one swift motion, slapped Chihiro in the face and knocked him flat on his back.
Before he was able to get up, a ceiling panel receded and a barbell descended with a huge number of heavy weights on either end. It pinned him to the bench, the bar less than an inch from his neck. Chihiro took a deep breath and tried to channel all his strength into lifting it. He grabbed the bar and pushed as hard as he could. It didn’t move a millimetre. His body dropped in defeat, and he began to cry again.
“I’m not…strong enough…” he sniffled, “I’m never strong enough…”
Once again, a panel in the ceiling drew back. Out of it came a kettle bell, dropping under gravity and falling straight onto Chihiro’s leg. He let out a scream of pain as it broke bones. Soon it was followed by another, falling onto the opposite knee, and another which dropped onto his hip. The sound of shattering bones was broadcast through the trial ground. Several students looked away. Some put their fingers in their ears so they didn’t have to see or hear what was going on.
Trying in vain to escape, Chihiro tried once again to move the barbell, but with even less strength than before, it was going nowhere. Finally, he saw one last kettle bell drop from the ceiling. It almost seemed to go in slow motion, as Chihiro and the other students watched it fall onto his chest. As it hit, the programmer gasped for breath for a split-second before his body fell lifeless. The kettle bell fell to the floor with a thud, having delivered its final blow.
Silence fell in the trial ground, punctuated only by the quiet sound of sobbing.
“Aw, don’t cry,” Monokuma broke through, “He could have escaped easily by lifting the weights.”
Aoi Asahina tore away from her podium and ran towards the bear, “How fucking dare you, I am go-“
She was impeded by a large arm across her path. “Asahina, no,” Sakura spoke calmly, “You’ll get yourself killed.”
“Sakura…I know. But Chihiro didn’t deserve what happened.”
Sakura nodded in agreement as she began to lead the swimmer back to the school. The loss of Chihiro had not yet started to sink in, but there was a sense of injustice that sparked anger in several of the students. With four students now dead, they needed to find a way to escape and prevent more killing.

How to improve your life? Transformative change with CrossFit.
How CrossFit can help change your life? Heal your life with the Guru Muscle community.
In this article, we're going to talk about how CrossFit can be a great way to improve your life. You may ask yourself How to change your life for the better physique?
What is CrossFit and how did it start?
CrossFit was originally designed by Greg Glassman in 2001, described as a performance-based fitness program that focuses on functional movement. It is a strength training style workout with free weights that pushes your physical activity to the sky. It's functional training that helps you to lose weight if you really work hard. It consists of constantly varied, high intensity and functional movements performed at relatively low impact to increase the body's ability to adapt and recover.
CrossFit is a training program that focuses on fitness, strength and power. It makes your physical activity 100% better. CrossFit has evolved over the years to be more than just an exercise program. It now has a community of people who come together to live their lives in ways that are more meaningful and fulfilling.
CrossFit combines standard strength training, explosive plyometrics, speed training, Olympic weightlifting, kettlebells, shadowboxing, gymnastics and endurance exercise in order to improve the five (5) major components of physical fitness: cardiorespiratory fitness, stamina, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, power and speed.
CrossFit workouts typically focus on explosive, whole-body exercises. The main CrossFit moves include pushing, pulling, running, rowing, and squatting.
What are the benefits of CrossFit?
The benefits of CrossFit are endless. CrossFit training is a form of functional fitness, which helps increase strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and mobility. One of the most important is its ability to decrease body fat. It is a different kind of workout that will get you out of your comfort zone and to your next level. With an intense cardio workout, intense weight workouts, and a wide variety of exercises that work out different areas of your body, there is no limit to what you can achieve. It is also an effective way to increase your metabolism, burn calories, and maintain overall health. CrossFit has helped individuals improve their strength and cardiovascular health. It also helps people lose weight, get stronger, and improve their overall quality of life. A study found that CrossFit can lead to an increased risk of injury. It also has negative effects on your body and mental health.
CrossFit is not just for competitive athletes, but bodybuilders and powerlifters might benefit from brief periods of training to mix up their routine. This is a very effective way of improving your life and mindfulness.
It's more interesting than the same old gym routine
CrossFit is not your typical gym workout. The workouts are intense with high intensity and short rest periods, but they're also fun. It allows for a transformative change in your life.
1. It makes you actually want to work out.
2. It can help you with physical and mental health issues.
3. It is fun and challenging.
4. It is designed to improve your life.
5. And you find your gym buddy with the same interest as yours.
You can start with a burpee
This is an exercise that involves beginning in a standing position, quickly dropping to the floor and doing a push-up, then coming up to a squatting position and explosively jumping straight up. You squat down as far as your thighs will go before quickly standing back up and stepping over the barbell you’ve just pressed overhead.
CrossFit also often uses kettlebells (a weighted ball with a handle on top), medicine balls, climbing ropes, jump ropes, resistance bands and rowing machines.
It turns you into a weightlifter
Many people are not aware of the health benefits that come with staying in shape. There are many different workout routines to choose from, but it's important to find one that is interesting and fun.
"I was turned on to Crossfit and I'm still a huge fan of the workout. Especially weight lifting. The workouts are not easy by any means, but they're effective and transformational" David said.
It is very important to stay in shape, so it is best if you do not go on diets so hard but you do lift weights along with healthy foods. When you lift weights, your body will build muscle and make you stronger. Weightlifting is a way to keep yourself in shape and gives you self-confidence in what you actually do. It is not easy to start weight lifting, but with time and dedication, you will get the hang of it. If you don't know how best to start, use a local personal trainer who will give you good advice on exercise equipment such as kettle bells, bars, dumbbells, medicine balls etc.
Tumblr media
How does CrossFit affect your body?
It's not the kind of workout that people who are new to exercise or fitness may want to try. This is why it helps if you have a good plan. Here are some examples of transformative changes that have helped people improve their lives with CrossFit.
It has many benefits you would really enjoy. People usually ask "What is the journey of changes?" This is a very common question asked to those who have taken on a new CrossFit training regime. It's not an easy journey and requires a lot of time and effort.
Don't know how to find purpose in Crossfit? Healing your life has never been easier. Read some comments below from the team Guru Muscle.
"I would say that the most important thing you can do to improve your life is to get a membership. The benefits of this type of fitness are that you will get in the best shape of your life, have tons of energy, and feel great. This is an authentic life I live in. Heavy lifting is my passion now." David, personal trainer.
"I started CrossFit 3 years ago. It was really an emotional change and experience. I was even getting more energy with small changes. I started doing CrossFit as a way to improve my life and make me feel healthier." Marketa said.
"I was frustrated because I wasn't getting anywhere with my work. Then one day, something changed for me and my attitude started changing. Weight lifting is my new life and I fell in love with it from the first week." Patrik said.
"CrossFit has helped me to develop a better understanding of my body's mechanics. I have learned things about my body and movement that I never knew. My goal now is to become a personal trainer and I'm pretty sure I'll get perfect advice in our CrossFit gym." Martin said.
Some of the most common mistakes people make when doing Crossfit
Some of the most common mistakes people make when doing Crossfit are not going at a pace that they can sustain and trying to do too much too soon.
It's always a good idea to ask your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
One of the most common mistakes everyone makes when doing Crossfit is not working with a personal trainer. You'll need to work with a coach who exactly knows how he can help you to start with.
Beginners should go at a slower pace so they can learn proper techniques before moving to the next level. They should also understand what exercise equipment they need to use.
Change yourself change your life
Change your mind change your life with CrossFit. It not only helps with weight loss but also provides the necessary training for your overall fitness. These are the types of changes that can be made through fitness. Keep your life in balance between family, quality food and sports like Crossfit.
Anyone can do CrossFit, which is scalable to work for people of all fitness levels. But CrossFit workouts are no joke. You don't just need physical strength if you're trying CrossFit especially when you train with barbells, bars, kettlebells or just a simple burpee. You also need mental strength.
Your gym buddy becomes your best friend. CrossFit is a supportive community and helps you to transform your life because of the support it provides every day. The amount of motivation you get you won't see anywhere else.

What a Kettlebell with Adjustable Weights Will Do for You
Kettlebells are an ideal way to shed heft, build muscle tone, and bring variety to your workout. Because of the wide range of motion covered by each kettlebell exercise, you can do a lot in a limited amount of time, enabling you to finish exercises faster than you do with standard weights.
The below are some of the advantages of using kettlebells in your fitness routine:
• Full-Body Conditioning: Using a kettlebell offers aerobic and strength exercise advantages while also enhancing muscle tone and metabolism. • Variation of Movements: You can perform a variety of conventional and non-traditional motions using a kettlebell, keeping you emotionally and physically active. There are countless ways to change up the kettlebell routine, from swings and squats to windmills and conventional diagonal pulls. • Engages The Heart: Kettlebells are not centrally balanced like conventional dumbbells, but a kettlebell exercise can also help you develop core muscle. Back muscles are improved by using the heart, which increases freedom of motion and endurance. • Affordability and Space Savings: These kettlebells take up less space than a complete kettlebell set and Far less space than a traditional dumbbell and barbell set since they can be modified. They're also a lot less costly than the latter.
The Best Adjustable Kettlebell: How to Use Them
The adjustment mechanism on most kettlebells is identical, and it is both easy and safe. To open the kettlebell, you must press or move a button or a button/slide device on the top of the bell. (Please bear in mind that each model is slightly different.) Be sure to read the user manual before it arrives.) Simply add or subtract standard heft from the kettlebell to accommodate your strength level and expected exercise once it's unlocked. Simply lock the kettlebell until the heft is where you like it, and you're good to go.
You Should Know These Basic Kettlebell Exercises or Workouts
Here are few activities you can do with kettlebells if you're just getting started. Of note, contact the doctor before initiating every workout regimen.
This is the most profound and critical step you can master. The trick is to keep your back straight and walk in a smooth motion. To get the hang of it, you might want to start without the bell. So long as you do kettlebell swings properly, they're perfect for your hips, backs, and thighs. Start with your legs hip-width apart and lean forward with your legs slightly bent, the Bowflex kettlebell between your legs.
Hold the bell by the handle and wave it back and forth between the legs in one fluid motion, then easily lift it to around shoulder height. To start, repeat 10-20 times. To continue, stand with your feet together and your adjustable kettlebell in your right hand, palm facing in and down at your side. Lean over and drop the kettlebell to shin height as you step to the right in a lunge with your left knee. Then, with the wrist straight, curl the Bowflex kettlebell up. Return to the starting point by raising the Bowflex kettlebell and moving the left leg up to the starting position. In 30 seconds, do as much as you can, then switch sides (right leg lunging and left arm curling). Start by standing with your feet hip-distance apart and holding the kettlebell with both hands on either side of the handle, heft facing up. Hold the ball at chest level. Raise the kettlebell to the right side of your face and bring it slowly around the back of your head to the left. Repeat for 60 seconds at a time, switching paths continuously (once around to the left, once around to the right).

6 TIPS FOR BUILDING YOUR DREAM GYM
When I think of a "dream gym” I picture a place filled with light, adorned with the right equipment, and has plenty of room to move. Grab a kettle bell, a set of gym rings, and go to the park, right? Maybe not!
Tumblr media
Through the stifling hot days of summer to dark frozen days of winter, that’s exactly what I did for years. There are some mental and physical adaptations that happen when you train in austere environments. However, to optimize performance you're going to have to put some time in the gym.
So, why not make it the best gym possible? A "dream gym," if you will.
When building or choosing a space there are some important considerations. Equipment, purpose, budget, size, adaptability, and how much you able to create yourself to name a few.
What may not be readily apparent is what type of training you might be doing or how it may evolve 5 to 10 years from now. Plan for room to grow into your space, not just what you might need currently. Don’t build yourself into a corner!
I’ve trained many different disciplines over the years and I am always adding new skills. Some requiring more equipment and space so, leave a little room for the “x” factor. Then consider the following tips.
#1: AIM HIGH
When people walk into my gym for the first time the reponses are almost always the same. They look left and right and then they look up and their eyes open wide. Most of the walls are stacked with equipment but, I have highly utilized the vertical element of the space.
Ropes, rings, climbing wall, pull-up bars and some pretty unique elements for hanging and climbing. Most coaches understand that to be physically capable you need to squat, deadlift (hinge), jump, locomote, push, pull, etc. but don’t fully realize the basic human ability to climb and go well beyond the pull-up.
I see the gyms of the future looking more like giant playgrounds with weights. Lot’s of open space to move on the ground but also into the vertical space. I can pull all of the hanging elements out of the way or bring them down for an experience not unlike the primate exhibit at your local zoo. Don’t let your pull up rig be an afterthought or the pull up bar be limited to pull ups. Think about building an adult playground that has as much modularity as possible.
#2: EQUIPMENT
Tumblr media
Write down what is absolutely essential and what would be on your “wish list.” Start with the basics. I use a lot of equipment: traditional training equipment like Barbells, Dumbbells and Squat racks; unconventional tools such as Kettlebells, Clubs and Maces; and gymnastic equipment like Rings, Ropes and Stall Bars.
So when I began to visualize my space I wanted to maximize the utility of my space without cluttering it up with anything unnecessary. This may not be important to you if you are going to have a giant facility but it is critical for me. Everything has to have it’s place.
Most gyms I see eat up a lot of room putting equipment all over the ground, but I need lots of room to move. This meant creating efficient storage of the equipment, especially if you are going to be doing group training.
#3: LIGHTING Lighting is often overlooked. I’ve training in some well laid out facilities that felt like a dungeon. If that’s what you are into that’s fine but, when the outside weather is calling and you're going to training inside, you want your space to look and feel bright and inviting.
Windows, roll-up doors, and headroom go a long way for creating a great training atmosphere. If you're building from scratch, put some consideration into window placement and the direction of the sun throughout the day.
#4: LUMINOSITY
Tumblr media
Wall color can either make your space seem vibrant or stagnant. Personally, I love dark rich colors but they don’t exactly reflect light very well. Nor does a pile of black equipment.
The brightness of the flooring will also greatly impact the available light in your space and how it feels. Horse stall mats are common place in many gyms but they tend to suck up a lot of light because they are dark. If that is what you are going to use, consider putting down a durable coat of light paint and test it out to see how it will hold up to the training environment and cleaning. Otherwise, select mats or flooring options that are light in color.
#5: BUDGET
If walls and a floor are going to eat up most of your budget that’s fine, just make sure you have a plan for your “dream gym” items. You can do a tremendous amount with just your space until you can acquire your equipment.
Having something to hang from would be the next on my list. Going back to my “basics” I had a park, a kettlebell, and a set of gym rings and I was in great shape. The added element of being protected from the elements and some space of your own to move around in makes the training even better.
#6: QUALITY EQUIPMENT Something that may not be obvious is the need to purchase high quality equipment. If you're handy, you can make a lot of training tools on your own, but quality trumps quantity (especially if you're on a budget!). Don’t waste money on cheap equipment if you are going to have to replace when it wears out.
You don’t need the rolls royce of training equipment but never shop the bottom end if your equipment funds are tight. Get a few nice things over a bunch of crap. Get something you actually want to use.
